"Acting on intelligence reports, troops of the Military Intelligence Directorate arrested an Islamic State terrorist hiding among the displaced families at Al Salamiyah camp in the eastern side of Mosul," Iraqi news website Almaalomah quoted the directorate as saying in a press statement.
"The terrorist was collecting information about the security forces and their families," added the statement.
The camp was funded by the Iraqi government’s Ministry of Migration and Displacement (MOMD) and handed over to UNHCR and its partners, ISHO, ACTED and Samaritan’s Purse, for upgrading work, including fencing, installation of electricity and the improvement of water and sanitation facilities.
