Hezbollah mourns the death of one of its soldiers in eastern Syria
[ALMASDARNEWS] Hezbollah mourned the loss of one its soldier this week after he was reportedly killed in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate.

According to Hezbollah media relations, Khalil Ibrahim Qassem (AKA Hisham Murtada) of ’Eita al-Sha’ab in Leb’s Natabieh Governorate was killed while on patrol in eastern Homs.

Hezbollah did not state how the soldier was killed; however, he was likely one of the personnel killed in the latest Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....

The Lebanese group has been active in Syria since April 2013; they have participated in several battles across the country, including al-Qusayr, Qalamoun, Aleppo, Palmyra, Deir Ezzor, and al-Zabadani.

As of now, Hezbollah is mostly concentrated along the Lebanese border and in the eastern region of Syria, where they are embedded with Iraqi and Iranian groups near the border city of Albukamal.
