Far-right activist Rasmus Paludan threw Islam's holy book in the air several times

His provocation sparked violence in an immigrant-heavy Noerrebro district of Copenhagen

Police said 23 were arrested last night after officers fired tear gas in clashes with protesters.

Paludan founded a small political party called Stram Kurs (Hard Line), which calls for Islam to be banned from Denmark.
