The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North in a statement said a large convoy of Afghan troops carrying supplies left Maimana city early Wednesday morning and arrived in Sherin Tagab district at 6pm after breaking several ambushes of the Death Eaters.
The statement further added at least 20 Talibs were killed during the festivities and Arclight airstrike s and 13 others sustained injuries.
The Afghan forces also discovered and defused at least 15 improvised bombs planted by the bandidos forces of Evil along the highway, the 209th Shaheen Corps added in its statement.
Faryab is among the relatively provinces in North of Afghanistan where Taliban are actively operating in some of its districts and often attempt to attack government and security institutions and forces.
