Heavy clashes breakout between jihadist rebels and residents of southwest Aleppo town
[ALMASDARNEWS] Intense festivities broke out between the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
and residents of a southwest Aleppo town, opposition activists reported today.
According to the opposition activists, the festivities broke out after Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham fighters surrounded the town of Kafr Halab and began arresting residents suspected of seeking reconciliation with the government.
However,

as Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham fighters began arresting people, the residents decided to fight back, leading to a series of fierce festivities.
Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham did not expect this kind of resistance from the residents, who then began protesting against the jihadist group’s presence in Kafr Halab.
 Kurdish forces prepare for major showdown with Turkish troops in northeast Aleppo
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) are preparing for a major showdown with the Ottoman Turkish military in the northeastern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.
According to local activists, the YPG was seen raising trenches and building new fortifications around western Manbij amid reports of a possible military operation by the Ottoman Turkish Army.
Furthermore, the YPG brought in reinforcements in order to strengthen their forces around Manbij.
The Ottoman Turkish regime’s recent comments about the presence of Kurdish fighters inside Manbij has raised a lot of red flags for the YPG, as it appears Ankara is preparing to launch a new operation to expel the group from the city.
While the U.S. currently has a military presence in Manbij, it appears The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

is not willing to budge; they are demanding the complete withdrawal of the YPG or else they will attack.
