Two car-ramming attacks in West Bank, soldier lightly injured

An Israeli soldier was lightly maimed early Friday evening in a car-ramming attack outside the northern West Bank settlement of Shavei Shomron, the army said.
The soldier was standing at a checkpoint outside the settlement, northwest of Nablus, when the car hit him. The driver then expeditiously departed at a goodly pace, according to the military.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said medics treated the 20-year-old at the scene and evacuated him to a hospital. IDF troops were searching the area for the perpetrator.
Clashes between Paleostinians and soldiers were reported earlier in the Nablus area, where several people were reported injured by rubber bullets and tear gas inhalation.
In a second ramming attack near Hebron,

a driver attempted and failed to hit a soldier at a checkpoint. The driver was arrested.
