ISIS overruns, destroys Kurdish base in Hasakah
|
[ALMASDARNEWS] ISIS propaganda has released images from an apparently successful raid by the jihadist faction against a forward base belonging to the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the southern countryside of Hasakah Governorate.
The assault on the Kurdish base appears to have been part of a tactical operation carried out by Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....

As far as the images show, it appears ISIS mustered a platoon-sized raiding force, mounted it into makeshift armored personnel carriers and then attacked the unsuspecting Kurdish outpost.
