FBI arrests 35-year-old North Carolina man who wanted to start an ISIS sleeper cell

o FBI officials say he tried to recruit fighters for the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
o According to an affidavit, Hendricks communicated with the two men who carried out the Garland, Texas terror shooting

o Elton Simpson and Nadir Hamid Soofi were rubbed out by SWAT teams after opening fire and killing an off-duty cop at a conference center in 2015

o In April 2015, Hendricks told an undercover agent that he was in communication with ISIS leaders

#1 Memory fades and history is written by the victor(s). As I recall the Garland, TX event was stopped before it started by a single ODP, another ODP working event security was wounded in his ankle, treated and released. SWAT showed up in time to wrap the crime scene with tape.

#2 Skidmark Hendricks affidavit included some curious information.

-Days before an ISIS sympathizer attacked a cartoon contest in Garland, Texas, he received a text from an undercover FBI agent.
“Tear up Texas,” the agent messaged Elton Simpson days before he opened fire at the Draw Muhammad event, according to an affidavit (pdf) filed in federal court Thursday.

“U know what happened in Paris,” Simpson responded. “So that goes without saying… No need to be direct.”

WTF...is the FBI doing? They knew about the Tsarnevs...Mateen...the Youtube video guy (Benghazi)...Simpson... They are as useless as the CIA...just collect actionable info, don't act on it, and then tsk, tsk that they knew it was gonna happen...and in this case actually encourage it with a "tear up Texas" text.
