Deadly battle kills eight militants in Somalia
|
At least eight terrorists militants and a soldier were killed and 2 others wounded in deadly battle between government forces and Al Shabaab terrorists fighters outside Wajid town in southwest of Somalia’s Bakol region.

The fighting started after heavily Somali military forces attacked on positions controlling by Al Qaeda terrorists linked Al Shabaab terrorists militants in El-malable area outside Wajid town, officials said.
Deputy District Commissioner for Wajid, Adow Abdurahman Jugle said that his soldiers killed at least 8 terrorists militants from Al Shabaab and confiscated AK-47 with bullets during the battle. He added that 1 government soldier had been killed and 2 others were also wounded in the fighting against terrorists insurgents.
In an interview with Radio Shabelle based in Mogadishu, he vowed that his troops would continue military operations against Al Shabaab terrorists until the militants are eradicated.
