Turkey detains 35 more suspects in 'anti-terrorist' raid
[AA.TR] Security forces have detained 35 more suspects across five Turkish provinces in an ongoing "anti-terrorist operation", official sources said Tuesday.

Most of the suspects allegedly belong to Daesh, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the far-left Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C) and the Patriotic Revolutionist Youth Movement (YDG-H) linked to PKK.

In the eastern Elazig province, five people were detained in an operation against the PKK and the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK). The suspects included a former Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) provincial chairman Turan Celik.

All pro-Kurdish politicians had previously stood for the BDP before the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) was established in 2012.

In the eastern Erzurum province, 14 people were detained in an operation against the YDG-H.

In the eastern Malatya province, at least eight people were detained in an operation against the PKK and the DHKP-C.

In the eastern Mus province, seven people were detained in an operation against the YDG-H.

In the eastern Van province, at least one person was detained in an operation against the YDG-H.

The nationwide operations are the latest in a recent wave of arrests that have seen hundreds of suspected Daesh, PKK and DHKP-C supporters enjugged

On Monday, security forces have detained 1,050 suspects across 34 Turkish provinces since the nationwide "anti-terrorist operations" in the country began, Turkish Prime Minister's Office of Public Diplomacy said in a statement

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S., the EU and Turkey.

Turkey recently launched Arclight airstrikes against Daesh and the PKK in Syria and Iraq. On Friday night and in the early hours of Saturday, Turkish jets bombed PKK camps in northern Iraq for the first time in the last two-and-a-half years. Turkey also launched attacks against Daesh. Turkish jets again hit PKK targets inside and outside Turkey on Sunday night.
