4 casualties in bomb blast western Baghdad
[IraqiNews.com] On Tuesday, a source within the police force said, that a volunteer soldier from al-Hashed al-Sha'bi forces has been killed and three others were maimed in a kaboom in western Baghdad.
The source informed IraqiNews, "This afternoon, a bomb that was emplaced on the side road has went off in the area of al-Zayiddan in the district of Abu Gharib, located in western Baghdad," pointing out that, "The kaboom occurred while a military rank for the Iraqi Volunteer Forces (better known as al-Hashed al-Sha'bi) was passing through that area."
"The kaboom resulted in killing 1 element of al-Hashed al-Sha'bi and injuring 3 others," the source added.
Army forces kill 4 terrorists in west and north of Baghdad
[IraqiNews.com] On Tuesday, Baghdad Operations Command announced, that four snuffies have been killed in a security operation in west and north of Baghdad.
Baghdad Operations Command said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews, "Army forces from the 60th and 59th Brigades have managed to kill two snuffies in the area of Om al-Obid, located in western Baghdad and two other snuffies in the area of al-Kasarat, located in northern Baghdad."
"A force from the 24th Brigade has also destroyed a hideout for the snuffies in the area of al-Haytawin," the source added.
