Indiana man stopped for speeding in Madison County had 48 bombs, prosecutor says
[Columbus Dispatch] An Indiana National Guardsman was arrested outside Columbus on New Year’s Day after a state trooper found nearly 50 bombs and the blueprints for a Navy SEAL training facility inside his car, the Madison County prosecutor said yesterday.

Andrew Scott Boguslawski, 43, also had a remote-control device to detonate the bombs, Madison County Prosecutor Stephen Pronai said. Boguslawski’s civilian job is as a groundskeeper at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in south-central Indiana. Prosecutors could not say definitively yesterday whether the blueprints in his car were for the facility where he worked.
Mowing and snow removal is boring, this is just my hobby.
Boguslawski also had a bulletproof vest in his car, Pronai said.

“He said something to the trooper about making a bomb vest,” Pronai said.
You look like a 52XL, I may have something in the trunk.
Lt. Col. Cathy Van Bree, a spokeswoman for the Indiana National Guard, said Boguslawski is a specialist in the guard who does intelligence analysis and has top-secret clearance.
Promotions comes slow in Indiana. Good luck with your next PR update Bogus.
Pronai said Boguslawski, who is from Moores Hill, Ind., appeared to be heading to Indiana when a state trooper clocked him going 85 mph in a 70 mph zone on I-70. When the trooper came back to the car to give Boguslawski a ticket, he saw the handle of a gun between his legs.
Is that your pistol or....
The trooper ordered Boguslawski out of the car and called for backup. Investigators found three more guns in the car — all loaded — and 48 bombs. They also found material to make more explosives.
What good are they, if they're not loaded ?
Pronai said most of the bombs were small. He said investigators from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have searched Boguslawski’s house, and that local and federal investigators are trying to determine whether Boguslawski planned to attack the military facility. They are also combing through a computer, cameras and GPS found in his car. Boguslawski is charged in Madison County with one count of manufacturing explosives, a second-degree felony. A preliminary court hearing is scheduled for Friday. He is being held at Tri-County Jail in Mechanicsburg in lieu of a $1 million bond.
Hopefully security at Crane Naval Depot has been alerted.

#1 New Year's Day, huh? If he had waited a couple of days he could have claimed they were not bombs, but pyrotechnic snow removal devices..... But way to go, and not attract attention; 85 in a 70. whatamarroon...

Mathematically speaking, if you are worried about a 'workplace accident' in a car full of (non-OSHA approved) bombs, you want to drive as fast as possible to minimize the time spent in the vicinity of aforesaid bombs... aw, what am I sayin'? The guy is a maroon. 15 over? Srsly? Might as well get a flashing Miscreant Onboard sign.

Yeah but on that stretch of I70, the reason he got noticed by the troopers was he was impeding the traffic flow. Practicing for Indy no doubt.

#6 Gort.
I live in Michigan and am frequently in IN. Comparatively, the Hoosiers are considerably more restrained as to speed. Not sure whether it's something in the water or because of more enthusiastic enforcement.
As cars move up or back, change lanes, or positions relative to one another, it looks like a slow-motion dance--because the relative speeds are so similar--compared to MI.
Nevertheless, fifteen over gets everybody's attention.
The drug transporters are pretty clear that you don't do that. Some people should be making an extra effort to avoid attention.

#9 Just occurred to me that a quick political operative could gin up a fake LinkedIn page pretty quickly and sew all sorts of confusion if they wanted to. LinkedIn would certainly know when the page was put up, but it would be nice if there was some date on the page. I mean the guy has only one connection.

#10 And 15 miles over the speed limit is not always such a big deal. I used to drive 80 on the I-5 when the speed limit was 55 and I was just going with the flow of traffic most of the time.

#11 At #9.

Exactly why social media is so dangerous, and why our gov't is pouring millions into it.
