#13 The name of the attacker looks familiar but Thugburg is kinda flakey to the point where I can't find the initial articles for other people with that surname (which had to do with a mosque in the Birmingham area). I still get the feeling I should recognize the name.

#16 I've been reading lately that knife crime is a growing problem in the UK. Just wondering if they have any stats on which particular ethnic group is responsible which percentage of the knife crimes?

#17 Abu, knife crime is a rumbling issue in the UK - less so at present than it was a year or two ago. Seems to either be on the wane, or getting less attention. IIUC, it's mainly black (on black) youths responsible, and tends to be blown out of proportion by the media. It certainly doesn't have a religious theme. First time I've heard of anything like this. I suspect the perp is a bog standard nutter.

#19 The name Choudry and its variants are very common in north east India and Pakistan, like Smith or Jones here. A caste-based name, its people were often affiliated with the military, IIUC.
