#2 One does have to wonder, Grom. I found nothing at all on this story in the Times of Israel, the Jerusalem Post, Deutsche Welle, The Local, or Breitbart. A search of Al Arabiya for articles about Germany or Mohammad Barakat yields nothing on this story. The fact that we’re getting it from a Pakistani news site quoting Jordanian media suggests that if a Jordanian citizen died in Germany in Hamburg last week, it was not considered newsworthy.

I would note that it is now illegal to support Hamas in Germany, and people are being arrested for it. So if he was posting a lot of pro-Hamas material, the police would have arrested him, and that would have been reported.

#8 ^Mohamed Barakat, a Jordanian student in Hamburg, Germany, was fatally shot after he posted about Gaza on Facebook, several media reports claimed after Dr. Sufyan Qudah, Director of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, confirmed that
the ministry is actively monitoring an incident involving the death of a Jordanian citizen.

"The Director of the Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs in #وزارة_الخارجية_وشؤون_المغتربين , Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, said that the Ministry is following up on the death of a Jordanian citizen in the German city of #هامبورغ . He also confirmed that there were no Jordanian casualties as a result of the armed attack that took place at a university in the Czech capital #براغ , on Thursday," Qudah said in a post on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

The official shared a notice by the Jordanian ministry that said German authorities are investigating the incident. The motive of the shooting cannot be confirmed as of now.
