The "freedom fighters" will fake a chemical weapons' attack, and USA will strike at "Syrian Regime" - derailing the offensive.
Hopefully, somebody will discretely inform Assad that he should expect things like that as long as Iran remains in Syria.
More realistically, it's USA continuing the failed policy of supporting "their" rebels.
