#1 In Fort Worth? I'd have figured they'd just be jealous - like around here.

#2 I betcha its the neighbor across the street who sees the tank's gun barrel pointed at his front door every time he looks outside who can't seem to get used to the setup.

#3 "Sorry. The HOA rules don't say I can't park a tank on my lawn."

#4 "I betcha its the neighbor across the street who sees the tank's gun barrel pointed at his front door every time he looks outside who can't seem to get used to the setup"

Possibly by design.

#5 Obviously what is needed is desensitizing. This can be accomplished by encouraging more private tank ownership.

#6 If he's staying out of other people's lawns and he's not fired the main gun.... what is the issue ?

#7 the tank "impedes traffic"

Clearly the issue is street parking.

#9 Ok then. If you need a good lawyer I know an attorney down in Texas that owns a tank.

Some of you Texicans need to introduce him to Fred and the Rantburg U. Having an attorney on staff along with someone who knows armor and can advise on changing road wheels and tracks, what's not to like? Good chance he's a conservative.

#11 Mr. B - I called a native Texan that once, and he was deeply offended. I do not recall the explanation, I have lived I the state for 20 years - off and on,

#13 It takes about 3 generations ("My granddaddy drove his herd to the rail head in Kansas City and got so drunk his horse had to find the way home!") to really be settled in. I'm still a newcomer going on 10 years now.

#15 It is Dallas/Ft. Worth, you'd need one just for the traffic. Or a Churchill Crocodile.

#16 I don't know how Ft Worth got into the story on ZH.
The tank is in Houston on River Oaks Blvd.

#18 I've often considered acquiring a decent surplus commuter tank. The pre WWII Czech 38(t) is attractive in that as a light tank it has the desired fuel economy but mostly, it's the American designed Christie suspension that proves the clincher as it provides unparalleled comfort and stability.

#20 Speaking of LVT-4's with a Canadian Ronson flamethrower, this is the amphib my dad used to commute to work with at Peleliu. Park that one on the front lawn, all gassed up.
