Fascinating. When I was a child, the Jews who'd fled that part of the world and ended up in Buffalo (French-speaking Montreal, their previous stop, was too cold), referred to themselves as Persian Jews. But a number of non-Jews who'd escaped the Ayatollahs haughtily informed me they were not Persians but Iranian. Have they now changed their minds for some reason?
