#1 Wow! The legendary spiked falsies....
(Heinlein reference)

#2 Two Scituate sisters named Harrison,
Whose probity beggared comparison,
Went wobbly in Paris,
And, bosoms caparisoned,
Shimmied out East and turned Saracen.

#4 re: #2 and I thought that I had a decent vocabulary.

SMH yet again at the magnificence that is Zenobia.

#5 Zenobia writes down in rhyme
What we're thinking (most of the time)
With wording most stellar
He's a right fine ol' feller
And making us laugh's his design

#6 In this case it wasn't a vocabulary issue, AlanC, but geography.

Cleverly done, jay-dubya!

#7 I dunno - "caparisoned" ranks pretty high up on the vocabulary list.

#8 Sorry TW, Scituate is just down the street from me no big deal at all.

caparisoned on the other hand is, as Pappy pointed out, a trifle recherche.

#9 Fantastic all around.

Our focus above, most conical
Among the crocus, likely barnacle
For two Neptune beauties
And four pointy hooies
Careful, lust you need a monocle.

#10 swksvolFF,

is "lust" rather than "lest" a deliberate pun or a typo?

Works either way.

#11 It was a coin flip; went with lust to play off #3.

#12 You people are too nice to me. But thanks -- I needed it today. From the reject box...

The sailor enlists her: "Hey, sister!"
She shyly resists, but he kissed her.
"Just gimme your number..."
...he stumbles on lumber...
She coyly insists, "Call me mister!"

#13 Happy coincidence... "caparisoned" apparently used to mean "chaperoned," among other things. Okay, back to the paper mines (hi, Mom!). Oh, wait, have I thanked y'all lately for being you?

#14 That last one was a doozy. Shore leave in the Philippines?

#15 Caparisoned ought to be familiar to anyone who read King Arthur stories or fairy tales-- all those knights at tournaments riding gaily caparisoned horses.

swksvolFF, love the double play of lust, which I read as deliberate because u and e are not typed with the same hand. Typos are usually nearby letters or letter order scrambles.

Zenobia F, I look for your little gems as I scroll through the comments. anticipating future pleasures. Your reject responded to that murdered transgender the other day, I assume.

Is this our first four limerick thread? Long ago there used to be koan threads like this, but I'm a simple soul, and koans elude me.

#16 TW, typos, at least mine, have two causes; one is fumble fingers which are the close together ones; but there's also fumble brained where your typing doesn't keep up to the thought and you can see word one as word two.

Given my sweetie is an equestrienne who learned me all about the Spanish Riding school and I read all the KA stories as a yoot I was surprised that I had never encountered caparisoned before.

#18 ZF's latest is a work of art hanging by a comma.
"Call me mister" is way different than "Call me, mister".
