#2 How soon will it be before Assad's Russian allies attack the Kurds in northeastern Syria. I give it six months or less. The poor Kurds. They are now surrounded by natural enemies; the Iraqis to the south, the Turks to the north, and the Syrians to the west. And the US dithers.
