#1 Note the presence of Shiekh Abd al-Majid al-Zindani. Zindani is a Muslim Brother and noted Islamist thinker. who was responsible for the creation of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) in 1990. Since then the Islah took control of Yemen's minuscule education establishment and staffed it with Muslim Brothers. In later yearss the Brotherhood and Islah followers entered government, established charities, and even a university. They made alliances with Sunni tribal leaders. Today the Sunni tribes can be considered the military wing of the Ikhwan, and it is they who are now doing battle with the Shiite Houthis of northern Yemen, a tribal element supported by Iran.

#2 Interesting, Beldar Sloque3832. I hadn't realized the muslim Brotherhood had moved into Yemen. Frankly, it never occurred to me that the Yemenis were interested in that level of modernity, which is no doubt my prejudice speaking.
