#1 The return of "Wonder Wart-Hog".
(All former fans of R Crumbs' 'Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers' will get the joke. If they have any brain cells left, that is.)

#2 Of course the theme song is to be found at 19:20. Still I feel that Philbert Dessanex is writing for the NYT!

#7 Might not have been Chernobyl. The Russians were very careless with nuclear material, and had some in Saxony. Of course, even we had radioactive fallout from Chernobyl in England while I was stationed there. Between that and Mad Cow, I can no longer be a doner -- blood or body parts.

#9 At one time a few years back, techs at Oak Ridge tested frogs, ducks, and other animal life, and trees for radioactivity. They probably still do the monitoring. The flora and fauna occasionally tested positive. The radioactivity was a legacy from WWII when low-level radioactive waste was dumped into settling ponds at OR to get rid of it.

#10 Bores taking trips (and explorer)
All bake in a boat -- it's a snorer,
Till pickled pig lips
Whisper in an eclipse
Up in darkest Hambodia: "Horror!"

#12 Hit submit too soon. Some areas were seeded with cesium 137 and others with cobalt isotopes and constantly monitored to see what effect they had on the flora and fauna. There is a deer hunt on National laboratory land each year and every animal taken is tested. If radiation levels are too high the animal is confiscated.
