#3 ....called the 28-year-old's comments "crass", and asked how he knew those he'd killed were actually members of the Taliban.

They were all reading copies of.... "A People's History of London".

#5 "is hardly likely to win hearts and minds"

Probably not the hearts and minds of schoolgirl killers but I don't see a downside here

#6  asked how he knew those he'd killed were actually members of the Taliban.

Because they were shooting at him? I'm amused people are upset about this. Maybe his bro Charlie has set a bad example, but what did they think Harry was doing over there in an attack helicopter?

#7 I remember a former colleague telling me about the difficulty he had leading brave Montagnard fighters in Vietnam. For them there was no grey area... "all Vietnamese are enemy"

#8 I guess was people's "sensitivity" that prevented him from answering "Anyone who runs is a Taliban. Anyone who stands still is a well disciplined Taliban."

#12 "win hearts and minds - a supposed aim of the war"

The original aim of this war was to let the Taliban share in the terrorist's fate, i.e. to hunt them down and to kill them.(*)

To put it bluntly the objective was to avenge 9/11 and to restore deterrence by obliterating the Taliban.

(*)It is true that the Bush administration went wobbly as early as October 2001 but that is another story.

#13 Besoeker, Montgnard or ROK, I'd gladly follow either through a village. With ROKs, nothing was left. I always thought that was the way you fought wars.

#15 "Prince Harry returns to a life of idleness and luxury, unlike most soldiers who face unemployment, austerity and social problems."

What I really like about Prince Harry is that he chose to leave a life of idleness and luxury TWICE to serve in Afghanistan. His first tour was cut short when a journalist revealed the unit he was serving with. Then he chose to become an attack helicopter pilot. Good on him!

#16 IIRC the Hard Boyz put a high bounty on Vegas Harry's head when they learned vee the MSM-Net that the Prince was coming to AFPAK Region for military duty. PUBLIC MILTERR THREATS AGZ THE UK ROYAL FAMILY WERE ALSO MADE AT THE TIME.

Correct me iff I'm wrong, but AFAIK the bounty on the Nekkid Prince, + threats agz the UK Royal Family in general STILL STAND???
