#1 I keep telling Trunk acquaintances that the day after Romney is elected to go down and register as an independent. Enough Trunks do that and the Beltway Party can't assume they'll be around in two years after forcing us to eat the crap they do to us for 'bi-partisanship'.

#2 The election will be won by which ever candidate can run closest to the center without losing his base. It will make zero difference how conservitive Romney is or isn't, if he doesn't win the election.

#5 conservatives simply can't make of Romney a "what we believe in" choice. He is instead a "prudent tactics" choice: a placeholder who will basically not be Obama for the next four years. That seems to sum up where we are. Romney is not Obama. Romney appears to be a fairly decent man.
