#1 The hysterical laughter in this part of Canuckistan will probably continue for the entire day because of the following sentence:

"The grenade did not detonate because the fuse was not in the grenade."

So why not throw a goodly sized rock? At least it might have a sharp edge or two.

Oh. Wait. . . . "with the fuse of the grenade left in the passenger front seat." AH HA!!! Now I understand.

What we have here are Bad Guys who are (take your choice or favourite combinations): ADHD, dumb, dumber, forgetful, easily distracted from the task at hand, perhaps leftists making a anti-weaponry point and/or seniors like me with a horrible memory.

And I think I'm having a bad day when I can't find where I've left my car keys.

#2 I have read of two such incidents of hand grenades being thrown but with the fuse not installed. One was in May at Mexican Federal police quarters in downtown Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

My guess is that a team is assigned the task of throwing the grenade and is given the grenade and the fuse separate for transportation purposes. Then they are instructed to assemble the grenade and then KFB.
