#2 Denver's light rail system is one of the more successful ones in the US. The actual cost was close to the initial budget and the completion was on time (although that means it took about 15 years to get the first 35 miles built).

#3 No one will ride it. Why wait in the cold, rain, or heat for a train or bus when one can drive his or her vehicle? Waste of time and money.

#5 It's not that difficult to get around Nashville. The city does not have a layout that is particularly amenable to a mass transportation systems such as light rail. Why not work with the existing bus system?
