#1 We'll see. Dictatorships have weathered protests before. Usually they fall from infighting, not popular pressure alone.

Hope it happens but not holding my breath.

#2 the vendors in the bazaars have yet to align themselves with the opposition - they are probably neutral at this point

the military is probably also a net neutral at this point

the labor unions are almost certainly with the opposition but haven't had a strike in coordination with an oppo event yet -- this seems a reasonable next step
