#2 two points

1. geography. It looks to me like there is a real effort to clean up the provinces with light to moderate taliban presence, like Konduz, Nimruz, etc ahead of the hardest provinces in the East. While at the same time maintaining momentum in the SOuth, in Helmand and Kandahar. Nimruz hits both aspects.

2. ROE - Air power is still being used. But more carefully (non residential area, no civilians hit)
