#1 Jerusalem saw 30 mm. of rainfall.

That's just about 1.2". BFD. Even the South of California got 6" in 1 hour. I'm sure Florida and other nasty places have had worse. We've had that much (rarely) here in Tucson, a desert city. While I'd rather not drive in it, I have. No huhu.

Ever been in the Texas panhandle? Or Nebraska?

I guess living in a Mediterranean climate makes one a weather wimp.
