#3 Of course, you know - One man's journalist just might be another man's terrorist collaborator....

#4  A single bullet pierced his windshield and struck him in the head.

#5 Can we put NBC's Brian Williams at the top of the target list?

Yesterday, he equated our Founding Fathers with modern-day terrorists like Iran's newly elected President (see www.MichelleMalkin.com).

#6 KR like many newsppaer congoloms is financially circling the drain. It's fun to watch in a pull-the-wings-off-the-fly kinda way, the local paper, the aptly named Tallahasssee Democrat is KR.

#7 I'm no ballistics expert, but - from what I've seen - if one of our snipers got him the damage would be pretty distinctive.

#8 If I were a member of the media it would really give me nightmares to know that (a) the American public totally dismisses stories such as troops targetting the media because other stories have been so outlandish in the past as to degrade credibility (b) Americans shrug and think if so who cares anyway.

It bothers me that targetting the media doesn't bother me and it should. Perhaps if they didn't hire stringers working with the bad guys in order to get the shot of freshly bloodied Americans I'd care more about the actual targetting and not about my own feelings on the situation.

#10 It bothers me that targetting the media doesn't bother me and it should.

I'm with you rj. As they say, live by the sword, die by the sword. All things equal, I'd prefer they die by the pen, and as someone said, they are all circling the drain. But sometimes I feel we should learn from our own revolution, and stop marching in line with our red coats on, just cause that was how it was done in the past. If they produce propaganda, they are combatants. It's time we treated them, and their producers as such. I understand it is a fine line, and I am uncomfortable with it...but as they also say, pornography is difficult to define, but I know it when I see it. If the reporters want to fight the war with propaganda, then we need to understand they too are combatants. How we deal with it, like torture, is a difficult question. Time we discuss it.

#11 Me as well, but I trace it to the journos using their writing as war against America by otehr means. Sometimes they catch one. I try not to celebrate, (see: Michael Kelly, who WAS a real journo and hero...dammit) but fuck it, some expect to be treated like royalty while they damage the American efforts deliberately

#12 I'm so glad there have been so many responses in support of troops. As far as I can tell, a whole bunch of so called "journalists" have been doing their damndest to put our troops in harm's way. (Maybe they were abused as children) I work in an industry that tries to determine what assets are worth in dollars. Some of the media appears to value their assets in terms of how many lives can be lost by their telling....could you blame somebody for trying to even the score ??
