#1 Where are the vaunted Gurkhas in all this? Looks like the royals are so bad even the Brits, USA and others are siding with the Maoists. Sounds like a crazy situation. I guess I will put off my climb to the top of Everest for a few more years. Huff, huff, puf, puf.

#2 The climbing is still going on at the same old pace it always has, Ed Viestors is even now attempting to summit Anapurna. If he makes, he would finish off the top 14 8,000 meter peaks in the world, and all without supplemental oxygen.
