#1 So long as the war continues to divide Dems into hardline antiwar and prowar camps, the Dems will not be competitive in presidential elections. The only way to end this schism is for our involvement in Iraq to end, with nearly all of the troops coming home, and for Iran to give up its nuclear drive. Not likely.
