#5 Oh, it can always get worse. The last thing the administration needs is for Jordan to get dragged into a civil war. On the other hand, it would be a solution if the Jordanians did wind up with the rump of the state.

If the Israelis have half a brain they do not want to stick themselves with a one-state solution.
