#1 They punch this one up about every two weeks. I think they save it for when Anti-Japanese guy calls in sick. He's got the TM on "go reckless", Anti-American guy has it for "run amuck".

#2 The DPRK just doesn't get it, do they? Japan has what, eleven nuclear reactors generating energy? How many of those have "spent" nuclear rods that can be used to reprocess plutonium into weapons-grade material? Japan has a very formidable electronics industry. Good electronics are essential for good nuclear weapons. Japan has a very good, very reliable launch vehicle that has placed many Japanese payloads in orbit. Japan has 140 million people, a small but formidable army, navy, and air force, and a VERY good intelligence capability. Japan also has good relations with Israel, a nation that has recently deployed a highly-capable anti-missile defense system. And, of course, Japan has a mutual defense treaty with the world's only superpower.

It's one thing to wave a red flag when there's a fence between you and the bull. It's quite another story when the fence isn't there any more. If Korea keeps making these kinds of threats, it may find itself playing "inside the fence".
