56-year-old Russell Biddle Ford a New Jersey native was born on August 7, 1962. He is the son of Ruth Guthery Ford and John Bailey Ford, of Wyckoff, New Jersey.

He graduated from Stanford University School of engineering with a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering and a BS Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester.

Russell Ford worked for Abbott Medical Optics; also spent some time with Boston Scientific Neurovascular, Zosano Pharma. Nowadays, Russell Ford, is a principal mechanical engineer at Triple Ring Technologies*. Prior to that, he worked for the Cygnus Corporation in Redwood City, California.

* His name does not appear on the company employee page, possibly in response to the current situation.
