#1 My son, air medic redneck, did 3 weeks at the rush university emergency room before going to Afghanistan. He said he saw more trama there in 3 weeks than the 52 in Afghanistan.

#6 Besoeker, I think what Obama meant was that killing 9 people in a single shooting doesn't happen in advanced countries. Killing 9 people in a single weekend is different.

1) what is a 7 year old doing out at midnight,
2) how is this 26 yr old woman involved with this seven year old?

This sounds like one of those cultural differences of which we're supposed to be tolerant, no?

#9 Chicago radio stations did say that the number of shootings were proportionally down last weekend based on previous summer weekend data when the weather was good (which last weekend was).

Stroger ER was busy as usual with the 'non-reportable incidents' involving knives, projectile near-misses and whatnot, though. Just not added to the data that the county uses for their 'war on crime' statistical reports.
