#1 I am curious why the opposition to ISIS/AQ has not yet realized the necessity of fighting to the death once engaged with their enemy, since surrendering or running has pretty much the same result, without even the satisfaction of taking some of the bastards with them.

#3 That's right. Most of government conscripts are Sunni with no desire to kill other Sunnis.
