#1 I recommend the book, "The Fate of Africa" by Martin Meredith. It starts in 1954 and documents all of Africas' countries fight for freedom. The chapter I am reading now, discusses Somali and Mogadishu fighting in 1992. African nations were created by Europeans that did not take into account tribal lands. If you want to understand what's happening in Africa and the Mid-East this book is a must read!
