#4 If the Saudis/Egyptians have any shipboard helicopters, they will be reconnaisance/anti-submarine.

I expect the US has attack helicopters in Djibouti, but they aint going to sink Iranian ships on suspicion. That's an act of war.

And, in any case, the original international law (the strong do as they wish) applies here. If Saudis, or more likely Egyptians, sink the convoy---who's going to do anything?
