#7 And what exactly is a raid supposed to accomplish? At most it will simply delay things but it might not even do that. Iran is a country about the size of Alaska and as rugged as Wyoming. The only strike that could be effective would be one aimed at regime change. This would mean not just taking out the current Supreme Leader but removing that entire "Islamic Republic" form of government from Iran. Tall order.

Delay works fine for Israel's purposes, Cholet Angereting3428. Things move fast in the Middle East, and attention perforce follows events. For some reason Saddam Hussein never did get Iraq's nuclear program back on track after Osirak was destroyed, nor did Bashar al Assad after after Syria's North Korea-built facility was destroyed in 2007. If Iran's facilities are damaged, and Syria falls, Iran is going to have serious concerns about dealing with Hizb'allah, and Gulf Arab money is going to flow toward Iran's unhappy Sunni subjects.
