#1 We (and that doesn't just mean Germany) need to rethink citizenship of people who join terrorist groups abroad.

Those people joined a foreign hostile "state". It doesn't matter whether this state was recognized by anyone.

Let them rot where they are now.

#2 The problem is that the Kurdish proto-state in Syria simply cannot afford to house, try, and imprison their captives properly. And nobody is offering to cover the costs, even just for their own former citizens and former residents.
