#1 The WH wanted to release the five prisoners and just jumped at the first opportunity without properly vetting the situation.

A couple of phone calls, and a email or two would have prevented this mess from happening.

The WH screwed the pooch on this one and could have avoided the whole thing by not jumping on the Bergdahl bandwagon.

#2 Aside from the terrorist swap, nothing wrong with bringing a POW back home. Nothing wrong with insisting he be held accountable for his actions as a service memeber. Something else is going on here.

#7 Here's a hypothetical scenario: The Army court martial's Bergdahl and in the course of the trial Bergdahl testifies that he was not a POW, but a willing convert to Islam who agreed to the swap so more important members of the Taliban could be freed.
