Former Miss Kentucky charged with sending nude photos to student
Son of a . . . .
A former Miss Kentucky who is a teacher in West Virginia has been charged with sending nude pictures to a 15-year-old former student. The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says that 28-year-old Ramsey Bearse was arrested Friday and charged with four felony counts of distributing or displaying "obscene" photographs to a minor.

A criminal complaint says the student's parent informed authorities of lewd pictures sent by Bearse that were found on the teenager's phone. The unidentified parent said Bearse had been the boy's teacher during part of his time at Andrew Jackson Middle School in Cross Lanes.

Authorities say Bearse admitted to sending the nude photos on Snapchat. It's unclear whether she has an attorney.

The sheriff's office said Bearse was released on a $10,000 bond following her arraignment.

A spokesman for Kanawha County Schools declined to comment but confirmed that Bearse was a teacher at the school.

Under her maiden name of Carpenter, Bearse was crowned Miss Kentucky in 2014.

Bearse is the second former Miss Kentucky in 17 months to be arrested. Last year a grand jury indicted 28-year-old Kia Hampton for smuggling marijuana into an Ohio prison for an inmate.

Migrants in Tijuana trickling over and under wall
A steady trickle of Central American migrants have been finding ways to climb over, tunnel under or slip through the U.S. border wall to plant their feet on U.S. soil and ask for asylum.
Two fences. Hungry alligators and landmines in between.
In recent weeks, Honduran migrant Joel Mendez fed his 8-month-old son, Daniel, before handing him over to his partner, Yesenia Martinez, who had crawled through a hole in the rain-softened soil under the wall.

A group of young people hoisted themselves over the wall to San Ysidro, California, hoping that their ticket to a better life was finally within reach. One migrant offered a hand to help the others jumping down onto U.S. territory.

They all sought to skip the long official wait on the Mexico side for filing asylum claim with the U.S. by getting over the wall and handing themselves over to U.S. agents. Last week, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said the San Diego sector had experienced a "slight uptick" in families entering the U.S. illegally with the goal of seeking asylum.

Thousands of migrants are living in crowded tent cities in Tijuana after undertaking a grueling journey from Central America to the U.S. border. A large number have decided to make new lives in Mexico, applying for work permits and taking jobs at local factories while they wait as the U.S. government processes about 100 asylum requests a day at the San Ysidro crossing, the United States’ busiest.

But by word of mouth, some have realized they can simply cross into U.S. territory, largely uninhibited by Mexican authorities. In twos or threes ‐ occasionally by the dozen ‐ they arrive at the border wall and manage to get over. Often within minutes, border officers quickly arrive to escort them to detention centers and begin "credible fear" interviews.

Over two nights last week, Associated Press journalists saw more than a dozen migrants taking the risk. A woman wearing a blue-beaded rosary waited with her children to see where they could cross. A Salvadoran migrant hid as he dug a hole in the sand under the wall. In the dark of night, migrants could be seen walking up a hill inside U.S. territory toward agents waiting to detain them.

European markets dip amid downbeat growth signals out of Germany and France
[MarketWatch] European markets traded lower on Monday, as investors failed to shake a hangover from last week’s selloff, with fresh signs of slowing growth in Germany and France, adding to the worries. Among individual stocks, BASF AG tumbled on a profit warning.

A decline for sterling gave the FTSE 100 a lift after a report a key parliamentary vote on Brexit has been canceled.

What is driving the market?

Sterling slid after a midday report from Bloomberg that U.K. Prime Minister May would cancel a key parliamentary vote expected Tuesday on her Brexit plan for and reschedule it. A stronger pound can weigh on the FTSE 100, as the index’s multinational companies generate most of their sales in other currencies, and the reverse works true as well.

Earlier Monday, the European Court of Justice ruled on Monday that the U.K. could officially cancel Brexit without the permission of the other 27 EU member states.

On the economic front, Germany’s Federal Statistical Office released showing that the county’s trade surplus with the rest of the world narrowed. Blaming protests across the country that have cut into industrial production for a number of sectors, the Bank of France said the French economy will grow slower than originally projected.

Global growth concerns and worries that the U.S. and China will struggle to meet common ground on trade were also hanging over stocks, with U.S. stock futures lower, while weaker oil prices also weighed on heavyweight energy companies.

Serving 1,500 drinks a day, Dutch Bros to open second Flagstaff location
[Arizona Daily Sun] When most think of traffic congestion in Flagstaff, Milton Road often comes to mind but business for Dutch Bros. Coffee in Aspen Place at the Sawmill may have rivaled it with lines at the drive-thru stacking many cars deep.

However, the neighboring shops and those Dutch Bros. employees might be getting some relief with the opening of a second Flagstaff location.

Samantha Sanchez, the operator of Dutch Bros. Flagstaff, said they have already broken ground on the new store which will be located at the intersection of Fourth Street and Route 66 and is planned to open in the spring of 2019.

"We're really excited about it," Sanchez said, adding that the new location will also mean nearly doubling their 45-employee workforce.

And the new location has been some time in the making, Sanchez said.

Dutch Bros. acquired the lease for the land only about a year after the first location opened in April 2016 Sanchez said, after the Dutch Bros. corporate office identified it as a good location.

At the moment, Sanchez said, they serve about 1,500 drinks a day at the Aspen Place location but with the addition of a second shop, this is sure to increase.

But if neighboring business at Aspen Place hope anything, it’s that the second location will also divert some of their current customers to Fourth Street.

Last month, the real estate company that owns Aspen Place was forced to reconfigure the Dutch Bros. drive-thru to better handle the long lines which had begun to stretch past the neighboring Wildflower Bread Company, about 150 feet away.

"It wasn’t ideal," Sanchez said, estimating that some days, they see as many as 1,000 cars coming through their drive-thru a day.

Does The Netherlands Have a Problem?
BLUF:
[GATESTONE] According to the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism of the Netherlands, Islamic terrorism has been growing for several years. "Despite stagnating growth, the size of the Dutch jihadist movement is cause for concern," it wrote. (Image source: iStock)

"Right-wing extremists are growing more confident. They continue to focus on protesting against the perceived Islamisation of the Netherlands, the arrival of asylum seekers and the perceived loss of Dutch identity..." [emphasis added] wrote Dutch authorities in a September threat assessment.

Islamization in the Netherlands, however, is not merely a "perception" of "right-wing extremists" but an increasingly established trend. The threat assessment by the country's National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism, for example, shows that Islamic terrorism has been growing for several years. "Despite stagnating growth, the size of the Dutch jihadist movement is cause for concern," it wrote.

Shunned or stabbed or shot. Ask Pim or Theo.

"[Right-wing extremists] continue to focus on protesting against the perceived Islamisation of the Netherlands, the arrival of asylum seekers and the perceived loss of Dutch identity"

A lot of cultures have an expression equivalent to "you can't piss on my back and tell me it's raining". Telling people it's raining works for a while. Then the preference cascade kicks off and your previously docile citizens are in the streets. This is a sign that your "enlightened policies" ain't generally perceived as such.

Congress In No Rush To Hold Themselves Accountable For Sexual Harassment Payments
[Hot Air] Do you recall, back during the initial rush of the #MeToo moment, when we discovered that legislators in the House and Senate had slush funds available to pay for the silence of sexual harassment accusers? There was a general uproar over that and we were assured that the members were going to get right to work on cleaning up their act. Good times, my friends. But what happened to that project?

As it turns out, not much. There were proposals written, and the House actually passed a bill, but when it hit the Senate, nobody could ever seem to agree on the details. And now, with the lame duck session drawing to a close, we don’t seem to be much closer to a final bill being passed. (Boston Globe)

2 shot after party at Omni hotel; suspected gunman arrested
[Atlanta Journal Constipation] A man shot two people who were trying to help him back to his Omni Atlanta Hotel room after a party early Sunday morning, police said.

Sedarius Dennis, 31, had been at a party in a hotel suite when two men noticed he was "highly intoxicated," Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Brown said.

Witness statements indicate the men, ages 31 and 37, tried to take Dennis back to his room.
But I'm not in 816, I'm in 421...kapow, kapow!
"Apparently, Dennis became angered with the victims and shot at them," Brown said.

When police arrived at the downtown hotel, they found the men lying on the ground on the 28th floor of the Omni suffering from gunshot wounds. Dennis had allegedly taken off.

He was captured by CNN security personnel in the parking deck across the street from the Omni, police said.

Investigators found a handgun and two spent shell casings in his hotel room. He faces two counts each of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
Which might indicate a revolver was used, unless Sed stopped long enough to pick up the brass.
The victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and are in stable condition, police said.

"The arrestees were hiding at a border village in Nineveh when they were caught by security forces," Rasool said, adding that the five are wanted by Iraqi judiciary on terror charges.

Murtaza Ahmadi, now aged 7, grabbed world headlines two years ago when his brother made him a shirt out of a blue and white plastic bag, with Messi’s name and number 10 playing number.

His sudden fame won him a meeting with his hero but caused problems for his family, members of the Hazara

ethnic minority from Jaghori district in the central province of Ghazni.

"Murtaza became famous around the world and we are not able to walk free and go anywhere. Murtaza and my other children were not able to go to school," his mother Shafiqa Ahmadi said in the home in Kabul where the family is staying.

"During the night suspected men were walking near our house and when the Taliban attacked our village we decided to leave."

Ghazni, about two hours drive south of the capital Kabul, has been the scene of intense fighting this year. The Taliban briefly overran Ghazni city in August and there has been heavy fighting in Jaghori, forcing thousands to flee.

"The security situation is not good and I am afraid to go outside," Murtaza said. "I want to become a footballer like Messi and I want to be able to go to school."

India-Pakistan
Govt asked to promote girl education, stop child marriage
[DAWN] The civil society organizations have demanded of the government to take effective steps to promote girl education and discourage child marriages in the province.

A joint statement of various organizations issued here on Sunday in connection with International Human Rights Day said that according to Unicef report 21 per cent of girls in the country got married before reaching the age of 18.

The organizations including Pakhtunkhwa Civil Society Network, Peace Justice and Youth Organisation, Provincial Alliance to End Early Child and Forced Marriages, Blue Veins, National Action Coordination Group and Partners for Prevention and Response (P4pR) said that civil society and government should work jointly for rights of the vulnerable segments of the society.

The statement also quoted a report of Human Rights Commission of Pakistain (HRCP), saying the age of 74 per cent of the married girls in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was less than 16 years.

"Child marriage is an appalling violation of human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
and robs girls of their education, health and long-term prospects," said Qamar Naseem, the programme coordinator of Blue Veins.

Pakhtunkhwa Civil Society Network coordinator Taimur Kamal said that by permitting child marriage, the government was responsible for serious harms suffered by the girls. He said that it required a comprehensive response to stop child marriage. "Having a law that sets a uniform, internationally recognised minimum marriage age of 18 for both boys and girls, is an important aspect," he said.

District Commission on Status of Women chairperson Shaheen Qureshi said that complications of pregnancy and childbirth were leading causes of death in young women. She said that girls, who married later and delayed pregnancy beyond their adolescence, had more chances to stay healthier and educate and build a better life for themselves and their families.

Yellow vest protests held in Montenegro
[AA.TR] Hundreds in Montenegrin capital Podgorica wearing yellow vests protested the government over an placed in durance vile

politician.

The yellow vests attended the demonstration held by a pro-opposition group, who were protesting the arrest of Nebojsa Medojevic.

The protesters gathered in front of the Montenegrin Parliament to walk towards the president's office and government building.

Many opposition leaders and Democratic Front (DF) politicians joined the protests.

One of the DF leaders Andrija Mandic said in a speech that life of Medojevic is risked, who was sentenced to two months prison term.

Mandic said that they would be able to change Montenegro when they compared the attendee figure of Podgorica protest with the ones in Gay Paree.

He added that they have to be brave and determined.

Mandic called on people, who were absent in Sunday's protests, for attending the next protests to be held on Wednesday.

The demonstration ended peacefully after speeches.

Since Nov. 17 thousands of protesters -- wearing yellow vests -- have been gathering in major French cities including Gay Paree to protest President Emmanuel Macron's controversial fuel tax hikes and the deteriorating economic situation.

The demonstrators, who generally live in rural areas due to high rents in the cities, have called on Macron to cut fuel taxes and ease their economic difficulties.

According to a recent survey, 84 percent of the French people -- mostly from the middle-income group -- support the protests.

Fuel prices in La Belle France have risen more than 20 percent this year.

This movement spread to Belgium and Netherlands in a short time.

ISIS kills 6 captives abducted from Libya’s Fuqaha town
[Libya Observer] The municipality of Jufra confirmed Sunday that ISIS bully boyz had killed 6 people whom they kidnapped from Fuqaha town late last October.

The mayor of Jufra Othman Hassouna told news hounds that 6 out of 10 persons were executed by ISIS terrorists, who attacked the town on October 29.

ISIS bully boyz want to exchange the remaining four persons with Lions of Islam detained by forces led by Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
, Hassouna added.

Four people were killed and 10 kidnapped by ISIS in Jufra last October after seizing control of the town of Fuqaha for hours.

Several families have left the town and others are still scared of an imminent ISIS attack as the authorities have taken no action to deter other attacks.

Indian troops kill 3 Kashmiri fighters in 18-hour-long gunbattle
[DAWN] Indian troops killed three suspected Kashmiri fighters in the outskirts of occupied Kashmire's main city, ending a nearly 18-hour-long gunbattle, officials said on Sunday.

Indian paramilitary front man Sanjay Sharma said the three fighters were killed on Sunday in the outskirts of Srinagar. Two police officials and a soldier were maimed, he said.

Sharma said Indian troops had laid a siege around a neighborhood on Saturday on a tip that fighters were hiding there.

The fighting sparked anti-India protests and festivities as residents tried to march to the site of the battle in solidarity with the fighters.

Indian forces fired warning shots, shotgun pellets and tear gas at the stone-throwing protesters. No one was immediately reported injured.

Residents said Indian forces blew up at least five houses with explosives during the fighting, a common tactic employed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmire.

Hezbollah has tunnels in Syria and Yemen too
[Ynet] Analysis: Hezbollah assists Houthis in their war with the Saudis and hides Iranian weapons underground in the Bekaa Valley. Now that Assad has regained control of Syria, Nasrallah is back to his usual focus: preparing for war with Israel.

Hezbollah's role in Syria has ended. The organization is now re-engaging in its regular role: preparing for a war against Israel. Hezbollah is preparing for the next battle in the air, on the ground and underground with thousands of recently upgraded missiles, battle-hardened fighters trained in Syria and underground tunnels.

In contrast to the uproar in Israel over the exposure of the Hezbollah tunnels, the terror group's al-Manar channel's news broadcast on Tuesday was quite laconic: "There is quiet on the southern border of Leb except for bulldozers near Kafr Kela and the Fatma Crossing, following statements by the military front man of the Israeli enemy regarding Operation Northern Shield to expose the tunnels Hezbollah had dug." The Lebanese al-Mayadeen channel also reported on the operation to expose the tunnels that "the Zionist enemy claims were dug by Hezbollah."

for threatening a local synagogue on Saturday.

Aventura police announced that they arrested Nadim Siddiqui, a 35-year-old from Hollywood for making threats to the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center and possibly other Jewish establishments.

Siddiqui became a "known nuisance in the area after a series of incidents many considered [antisemitic], such as tipping over menorahs and repeatedly trespassing at a Jewish market," according to the Miami Herald.

The arrest was part of a "coordinated investigation" involving local agencies, the State Attorney’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI’s Miami bureau, the newspaper reported.

The arrest warrant includes enhanced charges for hate crimes, the ABC affiliate Local 10 News, reported.

Siddiqui has been arrested several times by Aventura police in the last few weeks, the Miami Herald reported.

He entered a kosher grocery store and damaged merchandise twice in October, including smashing a bottle of wine on the floor and throwing an egg from the store at its front window. On December 4th, he damaged a menorah in the lobby of a building in Aventura, according to Local 10 News.

The Miami Herald names him as Nadim Benjamin Siddiqui and has a photo.

Mother allegedly drowns twin baby boys in Tulare motel room
[Your CentralValley.com] TULARE, Calif. - Twin babies drowned in Tulare on Thursday morning, according to the Tulare Police Department. Investigators said the babies' mother, 37-year old Heather Langdon, is to blame. Langdon has been arrested for the double homicide of her 10-month old boys. Police said they do not yet have a motive for the alleged killings.
Postpartum depression?
Police said it all happened at the Virginia Motor Lodge Motel near Bardsley Avenue and K Street.

Surveillance video from the motel shows Langdon and her twin baby boys getting dropped off at the motel on Wednesday night by Tulare Police officers. Police said Langdon had been staying at a local women's shelter, but she allegedly caused a disturbance there and police were called. Tulare Police said they brought her and her babies to the motel. Motel owner Jay Bhakta said Langdon checked in around 9pm.

"She don't have nowhere to go, so they just help one night, and they willing to pay,
Desperation? There were times I felt deperate with just one baby, a supportive husband, and enough money. I can’t imagine dealing with twins without money or support...
but I just say, that room, I donate. I don't need the money," said Bhakta. The motel owner said he didn't suspect anything wrong with the mother of two. "She seemed alright, you know, like she be alright."

Sgt. Jon Hamlin said Langdon, who is originally from Lindsay, drowned her twin babies in the bathtub. Bhakta said a next door neighbor was flagged down by Langdon around 7:45am to call 911.

[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas

"In a legal manner, we will dissolve the [Paleostinian] Legislative Council and this will occur soon," Abbas said, two people who attended the event told The Times of Israel.

Since the latter half of 2007, the PLC has not convened, essentially becoming defunct. Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, ousted the Fatah-dominated PA in 2007 from the Gazoo Strip.

SDF, coaliton battle through ISIS-laid mines in Hajin
[Rudaw] Mines and booby traps have slowed advances by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into eastern Syria's Deir ez-Zor, but the US-led international coalition's partnered ground force reportedly now controls more than half of Hajin town following intense fighting.

The SDF are advancing on two fronts ‐ Baghuz and Hajin ‐ the local force announced in a statement on Sunday.

"In the evening, engagements continued on several points in this front, where the terrorist organization tried to regain the points and areas that they lost, and due to that [a] number of bad boyz were potted," read the SDF statement on the Baghuz advance.

The forces advanced a kilometer and have established more than a dozen defensive positions. The SDF have faced a number of ISIS counterattacks in the fight for Hajin.

Additionally, "the engineering units of our forces dismantled a number of mines that [were] laid by terrorists."

On the Hajin axis, the SDF "launched a violent attack on the terrorists’ positions and fortifications." Progress was described as "good."

The forces also had to detonate or dismantle mines and booby traps left by ISIS. SDF has established nearly three dozen defensive positions, according to its statement.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights detailed that the SDF force is comprised of Jaish al-Thuwar (an Arab force), Jabhat al-Akrad (a Kurdish force), al-Shaitat (an Arab force), and the Deir ez-Zor and Manbij Military Councils (mixed forces).

There was no direct mention of the predominately Kurdish Peoples' Protection Units (YPG) participating in the fight, although the group has been allied with the other forces under the SDF umbrella throughout the ISIS conflict in northeast Syria.

The UK-based monitor added that the SDF now controls 70 percent of Hajin following the festivities. It also reported "intensive mines" left by ISIS.

In late October and November the US-led international coalition was reportedly unable to fully provide air support because of poor weather conditions.

The Observatory said coalition war planes conducted bombardments on Saturday morning.

The SDF's Operation Roundup began on May 1 with the goal of clearing ISIS from east of the Euphrates.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF warns Lebanese to leave homes covering Hezbollah attack tunnels
[Jpost] The IDF issued a warning on Sunday to Lebanese citizens to "temporarily leave" homes standing on top of cross-border attack tunnels built by Hezbollah, as troops began operating beyond the border fence.

"Hezbollah built terror tunnels under Kfar Kila and Ramiyeh that infiltrate into Israeli territory, making the area a barrel of explosives," read a Twitter post by the IDF’s spokesperson for Arabic media, Maj. Avichay Adraee. "We are determined to neutralize these tunnels, and we do not know the outcome of these actions on the relevant buildings on the Lebanese side.

"Is it not time for you to insist that Hezbollah give you clear answers?," he continued. "Are you living in safety when you know that your houses are located above a barrel of explosives? We recommend that you thoroughly consider temporarily leaving the relevant buildings for your safety."

Adraee wrote the warning days after Israel found three cross-border attack tunnels built from the Shi’ite villages of Kfar Kila and Ramiyeh in southern Leb. The IDF says the tunnels are under its full control, and have been filled with explosives pending their demolitions.

On Sunday, the Hezbollah-affiliated al-Manar website said that the Lebanese army reinforced units deployed to the border with additional vehicles and artillery, to "prevent the Zionist army from putting demarcation marks on the Blue Line. The Lebanese army rejected the Zionist move during the absence of Leb’s topographic units, forcing the enemy troops to plant wedges 10 meters away from the Blue Line off Mays al-Jabal town," the report said.

Dozens of Hezbollah tunnels are believed to have been dug along the 130-kilometer border between the two countries, and the IDF said the operation to locate and destroy these tunnels, dubbed "Northern Shield," would take weeks or months to complete.

On Friday, the IDF fired warning shots at three Hezbollah holy warriors dressed in civilian clothing attempting to approach the border area where the IDF was carrying out tunnel excavation work. According to the military, the three men ‐ who fled back to Leb after IDF troops opened fire ‐ took advantage of bad weather to steal IDF equipment deployed to uncover the tunnels.

Leb said that IDF troops opened fire on a "Lebanese army patrol near the Blue Line in Kroum al-Sharaqi region to the east of Meis al-Jabal village because of heavy fog in the area."

Later Saturday evening, Leb’s NNA reported that 25 Israeli troops had crossed the technical fence separating Israel and Leb but not the Blue Line. Lebanese troops and UNIFIL Peacekeepers were reportedly monitoring the situation from the Lebanese side.

Friday’s incident took place in one of the many enclaves beyond Israel’s security fence with Leb, but still inside the Blue Line which marks the demarcation line between the two countries.

These areas, which are not covered by Israel’s fence with Leb due to the uneven terrain, have been previously neglected by Israel, and a Hezbollah ambush of an IDF patrol in the area led to the Second Leb War in 2006. Israel has since increased its presence in those areas, fortifying the fence and clearing away brush to allow for clearer observation.

While the IDF said that it only plans to operate against the Hezbollah attack tunnels on the Israeli side of the border, Leb fears that Israel will not be bound by that limitation and will also operate against the tunnels in southern Leb.

Despite the tensions along the border, UNIFIL front man Andrea Tenenti said no violation of the Blue Line has been recorded, and that the situation remains calm with UN peacekeepers present on the ground to monitor the situation and maintain stability.

Al Sharpton's Daughter Bags $95,000 Settlement for Sprained Ankle
[Breitbart] Al Sharpton’s daughter bagged $95,000 in settlement money from New York City for spraining her ankle on an uneven Manhattan street‐even after posting photos of herself on social media climbing mountains and wearing high heels months after the fall.

Lawyers for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio paid Dominique Sharpton, 32, a $95,000 settlement after admitting the city had been aware of the cracked pavement but did not fix it.
Hizzoner has been busy with more important issues, like global warming.
"After a thorough evaluation, we determined that settling this case was in the best interest of the city," a spokesman for New York City’s Law Department said in a statement.

The 32-year-old, who is Sharpton’s eldest daughter, sued New York City for $5 million in April 2015 for "severely" injuring her ankle while crossing an uneven Manhattan street in 2014.

"I sprained my ankle real bad lol," Dominique Sharpton wrote in an Instagram post after she took a tumble in October 2014.

Sharpton claimed in her lawsuit that she suffered from "permanent physical pain," but subsequent social media posts just months after the fall showed she had a very active lifestyle.

One of her Instagram posts showed Sharpton climbing mountains on vacation, while she sported high heels and climbed a ladder to hang Christmas decorations in other social media photos.

Obamas Promise To Donate All Proceeds From Multimillion-Dollar Book, Netflix Deals To Combat Wealth Inequality
CAUTION: SATIRE AHEAD [Babylon Bee] WASHINGTON, D.C.‐ Barack and Michelle Obama have committed to donate all of the money they are slated to receive as part of their recent multimillion-dollar book and Netflix deals to combat wealth inequality in the nation, the celebrity politician couple announced Monday.

Obama told the press he wanted to make sure people didn’t think he was using his experiences in public service for his own personal gain, but rather for the good of all, in order to remain consistent with his party’s platform.

"We talk a big talk when it comes to wealth inequality in our nation, and it’s time for us to start walking the walk," Obama said, speaking to reporters in front of his newly purchased $8.1-million home in an exclusive neighborhood in D.C. "That’s why we’ll be giving every dollar of our ridiculously profitable book and film deals to charities that help the less fortunate."

Obama also confirmed the millions of dollars he makes from speaking engagements with large Wall Street banks and other private sector firms will be donated to help the poorest of the poor in our nation. "It’s time we redistribute the exorbitant fees these Wall Street scumbags gave me to the people they oppress the most."

Iran arrests 10 suspects in suicide bombing that killed two
[AlAhram] Iranian security forces have detained 10 people suspected of links to a suicide car kaboom this week that killed at least two coppers, police chief Hossein Ashtari said on Sunday.

"Good clues have been obtained and hopefully with the public’s cooperation ... we will get to the main leads," Ashtari was quoted by the state news agency IRNA as saying.

More suspects have been identified and are being sought, Ashtari added.

At least 48 people were also injured in Thursday’s suicide car kaboom by a Sunni murderous Moslem group on a police headquarters in the port city of Chabahar in southeast Iran, according to state media.

While suicide kabooms are rare in Iran, Sunni murderous Moslem groups have carried out several attacks on security forces in recent years in Sistan-Baluchestan province, where Chabahar is located.

The province is home to a Sunni minority in the largely Shi’ite country, and it has also long been plagued by violence from both drug smugglers and separatists.

The U.S.-based SITE Intelligence Group and Iranian state media reported that Sunni Baluch murderous Moslem group Ansar al-Furqan
...the Sunni Arab jihadi/separatist group based along the Iranian border with Pakistan’s Baluchistan province. It’s been a thorn in the Iranian side for the past quarter century...
had grabbed credit for the attack.

Tehran accuses its Sunni-led regional rival Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and its arch-enemy, the United States, of funding Sunni murderous Moslems, a charge Riyadh and Washington deny.

Iran has threatened to hit murderous Moslem bases in neighboring Pakistain unless Islamabad took action to secure its border area, which Tehran says has become a safe haven for anti-Iran groups to operate.

Women accuse famous Brazil spiritual 'healer' of sex abuse
[PULSE.NG] Several women have come forward in Brazil to accuse an internationally known self-proclaimed spiritual healer of sexually abusing them under pretext of trying to "cure" them of depression or other problems.

The allegations against Joao Teixeira de Faria, 76, better known as "Joao de Deus" ("Joao of God") were made late Friday on a program on the widely viewed Globo Television network.

A Dutch choreographer identified as Zahira Leeneke Maus and nine Brazilian women who remained anonymous accused Faria of making them masturbate him or perform fellatio, which he insisted was the only way to transfer his "cleansing" energy to them.

Maus also told the program that Faria had raped her.

The associated O Globo newspaper later reported that it had spoken to two other women who gave similar accounts of sexual abuse by Faria, bringing the total to a dozen.

All the women said they were aged in their 30s when the alleged acts took place between 2010 and early this year in Faria's "spiritual hospital" in the town of Abadiania, close to the capital Brasilia.

A vehement denial
Globo's G1 news website cited a statement from Faria's press service saying he had used his powers to treat thousands of people over the past 44 years and "he vehemently rejects (allegations of) any improper practice during his treatments."

Faria's reputation reaches far beyond Brazil, with followers in the United States, Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and Australia.

Oprah Winfrey, the US television celebrity and producer, visited Faria in 2013 to look into his "miracles."

Several media outlets have done critical investigations into Faria's claims of healing, and some uncovered previous allegations of sexual abuse and other improprieties for which Faria has never been prosecuted.

The fresh allegations aired by Globo come amid a global reckoning of alleged sexual misconduct by powerful men against women under the #MeToo campaign.

, security sources tell AFP.

The twin gun and suicide kabooms happened early Saturday evening at Gulumba village, in the Bama district of Borno state.

The use of human bombs is a hallmark of the Shekau faction, which is known to operate in the area. Last month, Shekau released a video claiming attacks against troops in Gulumba.

"We lost two soldiers and two more were maimed in the attack by the Shekau faction," says one military source.

"The faceless myrmidons came in nine gun trucks with a jacket wallah at about 5:50 pm (1650 GMT) and attacked the base."

A second source says the suicide bomber tried to infiltrate the base but was "neutralized" by troops. He also says two soldiers were killed and two others were maimed.

"The faceless myrmidons faced stiff resistance and were forced to withdraw," he adds.

Neither source wanted to be identified as they were not authorized to speak to the media.

Attacks by fighters loyal to Shekau have reduced considerably in recent months, which sources attribute to the firebrand

Iraq
ISIS cell captured in Sulaimani Asayesh ambush
[Rudaw] Kurdish security forces (Asayesh) announced Saturday they have captured a group of ISIS turbans that was allegedly plotting attacks in Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
Diyala, and the Kurdistan Region.

Two prominent ISIS suspects were apprehended in an operation on September 9, leading to the capture of several more suspects, Sulaimani Asayesh said in a statement.

"After the increase of ISIS movements in Kirkuk and Diyala provinces, the Kurdistan Region Security Agency/Sulaimani Asayesh started to build a strong military fence and formed a joint investigating and follow-up center to monitor the security situation of Sulaimani and other cities and towns of the Kurdistan Region," the statement read.

ISIS turbans had reorganized themselves outside the borders of the Kurdistan Region and were plotting to send attackers and jacket wallahs into the Region, Kirkuk, and Diyala outlying areas, it said.

"The Sulaimani Asayesh continued its follow-ups and thus obtained more precise information on the influential terrorist Haji Masab who was leading the group of ISIS jihadists," the statement read.

"The group had created a wide network of bandidos faceless myrmidons in Kirkuk and Diyala supervised by both bandidos faceless myrmidons Abu Huraira and Abu Mujahid."

"Together with Abu Fatih and Abu Saif, they were bringing bandidos faceless myrmidons from other parts of Iraq to Kirkuk and Diyala in order to destabilize their security," it added.

Sulaimani security forces were ordered to track down the desperados ‐ capturing two of them when they entered the Kurdistan Region.

"They were captured in an ambush," said Sulaimani Asayesh.

With their arrest, security forces were able to glean further intelligence, leading to the arrest of more suspects accused of plotting attacks in Sulaimani.

"With continued monitoring and more precise investigation of new ISIS plots, stronger plans were set up to deter any plots to destabilize the security of the Kurdistan Region. ISIS sleeper cells present in the Kurdistan Region were also discovered and were tossed in the calaboose
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
in some raids," it said.

"Some other suspects, mercenaries and smugglers who had been directly and indirectly involved in assisting the ISIS bandidos faceless myrmidons were also captured."

The Kurdistan Region has been largely spared the kind of attacks, bombings and kidnappings taking place in Kirkuk, Diyala, Saladin, Anbar and Nineveh.

Afghanistan
Iran-Made Weapons Seized from Taliban In Ghazni
[ToloNews] Local officials of Ghazni province said on Sunday that they have seized weapons from Talibs in the province which are made in Iran.

Ghazni governor and police chief said, in a clearing operation on the outskirts of Ghazni city, security forces gained access to a Taliban

hideout, where they recovered Iran-made weapons.

"Around nine light weapons, which have been recovered by security forces are made in Iran," Wahidullah Kalimzai, Ghazni governor said.

"The weapons that you saw, which were very new, were in the hands of turbans and are made in Iran. The weapons were brought here for the continuation of war," Ghulam Daud Tarakhil, Ghazni police chief said.

Reacting to the reports over Iranian weaponry in Afghanistan fighting, the Afghanistan Interior Ministry said they have started investigations to find out how Iranian weaponry arrived on Afghanistan battlefields.

"Security departments have started investigations and we do not have the final results yet. As soon as the results are finalized they will be shared with you," interior ministry front man Najib Danish said.

"Afghan government is very weak and cannot defend Afghanistan’s illusory sovereignty and independence," Fazl Ahmad Oria, front man for the Grand Coalition of Afghanistan said.

So far, neither Iran nor the Taliban has commented on the issue.

Official: U.S. forces to establish new headquarters in Iraq’s Anbar
Anbar (IraqiNews.com) ‐ U.S. forces will establish a new headquarters in western Anbar, a move which is expected to give the Americans a chance to seize control of the border areas with Nineveh, a well-placed municipal official said.

Speaking to Almaalomah news agency on Sunday, member of the Anbar provincial council Mohammed al-Delimy said that American forces have been surprisingly stationed 30 km north of the Euphrates river, a location seen as vital to control the desert areas between Anbar and Nineveh provinces.

Al-Delimy warned that Islamic State

Last March, the Iraqi parliament obliged the government to set a timetable for the withdrawal of foreign troops from the country after the military operations against Islamic State bandidos hard boyz ended last December.

The officials noted that those forces contribute to the rehabilitation of Iraqi artillery forces damaged by the war.

The U.S. has led an international coalition backing Iraqi forces against IS since 2014. The Pentagon had said late 2017 it maintained slightly more than 8000 troops in Iraq.

and its allies joined the government fight against the rebels.

The conflict has triggered what the UN calls the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

"If we leave these consultations having made progress -- progress in building confidence and finding a framework -- we can hold a new round of talks" in the coming months, Huthi front man Mohammed Abdelsalam told news hounds.

Abdelsalam, who heads the rebel delegation, spoke on the sidelines of UN-brokered talks in the rural village of Rimbo, where warring Yemeni parties are gathered.

Among the issues under discussion in Sweden are potential humanitarian corridors, a prisoner swap, the reopening of the defunct Sanaa international airport, and Hodeida, the rebel-held port city at the heart of a government offensive.

Two government delegates on Sunday said their representatives had met face-to-face on the prisoner swap, which had been agreed to by both parties before the Sweden talks.

A UN official confirmed a "committee" meeting on Sunday on the prisoner swap.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Rep. Nunes: FBI Officials Knew Of ‘Really Bad And Nefarious Activity' By Christopher Steele And Associates
[Daily Caller via Political Insider] Chuck Ross on December 7, 2018

An FBI and Justice Department email chain shows that top government officials knew that dossier author Christopher Steele and his associates "were up to some really bad and nefarious activity," House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes said Thursday.

In an interview on Fox News, Nunes claimed that the email constitutes "the first clear evidence" that the FBI committed a "major crime" by lying to federal judges in applications for spy warrants against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

"It would be very clear that there were people within the FBI and DOJ that knew well and good before they went to the FISA Court that Christopher Steele and others were up to some really bad and nefarious activity," Nunes, a California Republican, said in an interview with Fox’s Sean Hannity.

The email chain is part of a group of documents that Nunes and other Republicans want President Donald Trump to declassify. The lawmakers claim that the documents will show that the FBI and Justice Department misled federal judges when they applied for four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against Page, an energy consultant who joined the Trump campaign in March 2016.

The FBI relied heavily on the unverified Steele dossier, which was funded by Democrats, to obtain the warrants.

On Wednesday, The Hill reported some details of an email chain that appears to be the same being sought by Nunes for declassification.

According to The Hill, the email chain was exchanged in October 2016, before the FBI obtained its first FISA warrant against Page.

The emails, which included then-FBI Director James Comey, FBI officials, and Justice Department lawyers, show that the intelligence community expressed concerns about Steele’s reporting, The Hill reported. The documents also include evidence that the FBI was aware that Steele, a former MI6 official, was in contact with reporters before applying for the first Page FISA.

The FBI stopped formally using Steele as a confidential source on Nov. 1, 2016, after discovering that the private eye was in contact with Mother Jones reporter David Corn.

But Steele has revealed in a court case in London that he briefed reporters from several other news organizations in September and October 2016.

Steele was also the main source for a Sept. 23, 2016 article published by Yahoo News. That article, which was the first to level allegations contained in the dossier about Page, was cited in the FBI’s FISA applications.

Eight minutes by cab from Steele's Orbis Bus Ltd to HQ SIS. Note also the location of the U.S. Embassy, London. Yes, that would be the new £800m embassy that President Trump refused to visit back in January. The veracity of Christopher Steele? You decide.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Israel clears landmines from seven monasteries by Jesus’ Baptismal site
[Jpost] War long ago silenced the words of God that once resounded in the seven abandoned monasteries along the small paved road that leads to Jesus’ baptismal site on the Israeli side of the Jordan River, known as Qasr al Yehud.

Israel shut down the monasteries for safety reasons during the War of Attrition in the aftermath of the 1967 Six Day War, when there were cross-border raids between Israel and Jordan. It declared the area a military zone and planted thousands of land mines there to stop infiltrations from holy warriors and the Jordanian Army.

Now, the Israel National Mines Action Authority, together with the IDF and the international NGO HALO Trust, are in the midst of deactivating some 5,000 land mines spread across 100,000 square meters of land just a few feet away from the Jordanian border.

On Sunday, the IDF and the INMAA gave journalists a rare glimpse of two of the seven buildings that are part of the Land of the Monasteries project that no longer pose a danger: the Franciscan chapel and the Æthiopian monastery. The Greek Orthodox monastery has also been de-mined, but was not part of the tour.

Given the 1994 peace treaty with Jordan and the fact that land mines are no longer part of Israel’s defensive strategy, there is no need for such explosives along the Jordanian border.

"Now, this is a border of peace," INMAA director Marcel Aviv told news hounds as he stood on a small hilltop overlooking the monasteries, presenting the project to news hounds.

Aviv described the work done under the NIS 20 million project to clear land mines, anti-tank mines, booby traps and other unwent kaboom! devices.

The area is still cordoned off from the small single-lane road by rusted barbed wire and signs that state "danger, mines" in English and Hebrew.

The project, which began in 2017, is expected to be finished within the next year or two.

Israel’s National Parks Authority is also working jointly with the churches on whose land the monasteries sit. Israel and the churches want to attract 2.4 million tourists annually to an area already visited by 800,000 people a year, Aviv said.

As he led news hounds through the Franciscan monastery, Land of the Monasteries Project Manager Moshe Hillman showed the bullet and pock marks on the monastery walls.

Fifty years of dust and rubble fill the small rooms lit only by sunlight that streams through the broken windows.

"When we opened the doors we entered a world that no one treaded on for close to 50 years."

"I am talking about bottles of wine that had not been touched," he said. They also found wood crosses and small metal bells.

Everything they found of value was returned to the churches, he said.

Looking at a chair thick with dust, he pointed out the small marks of a bird’s feet. "A bird was the last person to use this chair," he said.

Walking into these buildings, he said, "has been a journey back in time."

[IsraelTimes] Iran has more than doubled the number of missile tests it has performed in the past year in possible violation of the 2015 nuclear deal, the German Die Welt daily reports.

In 2018, Tehran test-fired at least seven medium-range missiles and at least five short-range missiles and cruise missiles, according to Die Welt.

The report did not specify whether the missiles were nuclear-capable ballistic weapons, which the Islamic Theocratic Republic was banned from testing as part of the 2015 internationally supported agreement.

Belgium's government loses majority over UN migration pact
Good.
[THEGUARDIAN] The Belgian prime minister, Charles Michel, is fighting for his political survival after the Phlegmish nationalist party quit the ruling coalition over his support for a UN migration agreement, leaving him in charge of a minority government.

After the resignation of ministers representing the New Phlegmish Alliance (N-VA), the largest of the coalition’s four parties, Michel was forced to present himself on Sunday to Belgium’s King Philippe.

Michel was given permission to form a minority administration but at a presser later in the day he appealed to MPs in the federal parliament not to force an election.
