Ocasio-Cortez Recruits Children To Help Her Fight Trump
h/t Instapundit - I must have my daily Alexandria fix
New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Saturday asked a group of children for help to win her election and "kick out Trump."

"I’m the Democratic nominee out here for Congress so I’m going to go to D.C., and we’re going to be fighting Trump," Ocasio-Cortez told the children in Corona, Queens.

She was met with raucous applause from the young audience, and a man can be heard saying, "That’s crazy that the kids get so excited about that."

"This is what we need to do: when you go back home, you talk to your mom, your dad, your aunt, grandma, sisters, anybody over the age of 18 that can vote ‐ first you need to ask your parents to vote because if they don’t vote, then we can’t kick out Trump," Ocasio-Cortez said.

Bishop apologises to Grande for side-boob grip and bad joke at Franklin funeral
[Guardian] Ariana Grande has received an apology from the bishop who led Aretha Franklin’s funeral after he was accused of touching her inappropriately while on stage.

Bishop Charles Ellis III, who officiated at Franklin’s funeral, awkwardly greeted Grande on stage after she performed (You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman. Images showed Ellis’s hand holding Grande well above her waist, with his fingers pressing against one side of her chest.

A video of the greeting has since gone viral, and within hours, the hashtag #RespectAriana was trending worldwide, with many viewers expressing their outrage over the clip.

The preacher later apologised at the cemetery where Franklin was interred on Friday evening and also said sorry for making a joke about her name. Ellis said: "It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast ... I don’t know, I guess I put my arm around her. Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar but, again, I apologise."

He said he hugged all the performers during Friday’s eight-hour service.

Obama, Bush, Meghan McCain Swipe at Trump During John McCain Funeral Service (video)
[Media] John McCain was eulogized by two former presidents, along with members of his family at a memorial service at Washington National Cathedral on Saturday.

The stirring tributes to the Arizona senator, who died last week at 81, balanced remembrances of his life and legacy as a statesman, father and husband. But they also included obvious swipes at current President Donald Trump ‐ who was not invited to the memorial and instead spent the morning golfing and tweeting ‐ and his worldview.

Meghan McCain was up first, and the senator’s daughter delivered an emotional tribute to her father, that turned fiery as she took pointed shots at Trump, notably his campaign slogan.

"The America of John McCain is generous and welcoming and bold. She is resourceful and confident and secure. She meets her responsibilities. She speaks quietly because she’s strong. America does not boast because she has no need to. The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always great." she said, to applause.

Her speech kicked off with a swipe as well: "We gather here to mourn the passing of American greatness, the real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly, nor the opportunistic appropriation of those who live lives of comfort and privilege while he suffered and served."

#2  I heard snippets of Meghan's little speech on TV. I was in the other room because I didn't want to hear it but much to my chagrin I could still hear it. It seems the young lady is carrying on a family tradition by being every bit as spiteful, bitter and hypocritical as her old man. And never any mention of the way her daddy would have preferred that Hillary won the election. Maverick my ass. He was the Manchurian candidate and, as bad as Baraq was, I think we dodged a bullet in 2008. Of course, Meggie's future is secure as one of the regulars on The View. Yeah, she's right up there with Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar. Spit!

Economy
Free College Booming in Dallas County
[DallasNews] A year ago, he never would have expected so many of his Grand Prairie High School classmates in college. Three-fourths of the school’s student body is economically disadvantaged, and the hurdles to a post-secondary education are high.

But in came the Dallas County Promise, he said, and it provided many of his friends ‐ and himself ‐ a viable path.
But not everyone, Alexandria.
The Promise, launched in October 2017 by the Dallas County Community College District and education nonprofit Commit, pledged to send every graduating senior at 31 area high schools, including Grand Prairie, to community college for free.

While the effort exceeded many of its benchmarks in its infancy ‐ getting 96 percent of 9,000 seniors to sign the pledge, and 67 percent of them to complete their financial aid forms in a timely fashion ‐ the true proof of the program’s success came on the first day of classes.
Financial aid forms? What happened to "free"? Don't they teach 'bait and switch' in high school?
As of Monday, 2,841 graduates from those 31 high schools are attending classes at a DCCCD campus or at the University of North Texas Dallas, a fellow partner, according to data from Commit.
Please tell us how many graduated and how much the average student (graduate or not) owes when they finish attending.
That's 40 percent growth in enrollment at DCCCD from those 31 schools (from 1,872 in 2017 to 2,659 in 2018), while UNT Dallas' enrollment went up 30 percent (from 138 to 182).

Based on a highly successful state program in Tennessee, the Promise is a last-dollar scholarship, meaning it covers the gaps between the cost of attending and state and federal grants the students receive. The goal is to boost post-secondary attainment across the board: four-year and associate’s degrees and trade certifications.
So the taxpayer pays some and they kids finance the rest? This is news? Still, it seems it helped one kid.
For Alvarez, the Promise came at a critical time, in the middle of his senior year. He'd always thought about continuing his education after high school, and had designs on attending Texas State or Texas A&M, but wasn't exactly sure how he was going to make ends meet.

The Promise solved a lot of those problems, he said.

Attending a four-year college is still the target, Alvarez said. But he can stay at home, get up to 60 college credits, and a dental hygienist certificate without being worried about tuition, room and board, and books.

While initially skeptical of Promise, Alvarez ‐ the Grand Prairie senior class president ‐ soon became one of its biggest boosters on his high school campus.

"I saw how this could help me, this could really help a lot of my friends," he said. "We don't have to have students working at McDonald's or at the mall or in construction ‐ some of the jobs that a lot of people get right out of high school. ... Imagine how much we as Dallas, Texas, will grow, if we have people who are more educated that live here."
You could go to work right now for the Democratic Socialist, Alexandria, or the Socialist, Bernie. No education required! Besides, there will be illegal immigrants coming in to fill those entry-level jobs.

#4  Seems like a pretty reasonable plan. Community colleges tend to offer mostly useful programs and costs are not ridiculous. Also, not known as party schools. Kids get a chance, at reasonable cost, to improve their position in life, if they choose to do the work. I'd invest in that.
Posted by: Glenmore || 09/02/2018 16:26 Comments || Top||

#5  Until the community colleges catch on and turn it into a cash cow scam like the rest of higher ed has done.
Posted by: Glenmore || 09/02/2018 16:27 Comments || Top||

#6  Sounds like the plan is to have every student fill out the FISA form and they will accept any GIVERNMENT aid provided (still ‘free’ to the student). Considering more than 50 percent of students never graduate the school gets a financial boost for provinding an opportunity for tax payer money to land.

Two Funerals and a Missing Cardinal
[AmericanThinker] The Mueller investigation continues without hitting paydirt and further diminishing the reputation of the special counsel and Clintonite team. I expect the president to shortly (maybe even this week) declassify the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) warrant on Carter Page. This warrant provided the means to spy on the president and his campaign. We learned this week that the warrant, which triggered this partisan witch hunt, was signed by the FISC (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court) without any hearing whatsoever.

...As the Mueller juggernaut keeps dropping bolts and rumbling to a final crash, we were temporarily distracted by the funerals of the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin and "Maverick" senator from Arizona.

In both cases, the pageantry was over the top.

Aretha's open gilded casket was on display for four days, with the remains clothed in new flashy garb. Pink Cadillacs in tribute to her lined the streets of Detroit. Celebrities attended, and some managed to throw in a tribute to the deceased in speeches largely praising themselves and attacking the president. Former president Bill Clinton spoke, claiming he and "no ways tired" Hillary had been her groupies forever. He also quite obviously ogled the young singer Ariana Grande. On the stage in the front row were Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Louis Farrakhan, though MSNBC and CNN edited the latter out of the photos they ran.

The Maverick's five-day funeral rites were reportedly planned in every detail by the departed and reflected his bitter, vindictive streak. In particular, he disinvited Sarah Palin, his running mate in his unsuccessful run for the presidency, and the family made this gesture public. To my mind, without her, his campaign would have been an even bigger failure.

...And then there's the missing cardinal to make the crazy week even weirder. Pope Francis was under attack for failing to act on countless documented cases of sex abuse within the Catholic Church. The Vatican's ex-ambassador to Washington, Archbishop Carlo Viganò, fired the first salvo, detailing the misconduct of Archbishop Theodore McCarrick and Cardinal Donald Wuerl and calling on the pope to resign.

...There are calls for Cardinal Wuerl to resign and he appears to have gone missing, with rumors that he was spirited out of the country to avoid prosecution.

...In the meantime, the president goes about his business. This week, he seems to have brought Canada to heel on trade policies, and choked Hamas by cutting off funds to the corrupt UNRWA, which sustains those murderers. He is squeezing China on tariffs ‐ I think as much to ensure fairer trade policies as to make Xi stop pressuring North Korea to avoid denuclearizing. He certainly has set a pattern of using all the economic tools at his disposal to settle issues instead of the warm bodies of our men and women in the military.

Can't remember where I saw it but there was one picture where Farrakhan's face was blurred but you could tell it was him by the bow tie. Clinton, of course, had no problem sitting with those wolves in sheep's clothing.

Europe
Germany: Kid (10 y/o) raped by Muslim classmates
Here's a link to a German MSM report.
This story is outrageous and in need of stronger verification than a post on an opinion blog could provide.

This is Bacha Bazi, a recognized cultural practice being imposed on Europeans for the purpose of humiliation and intimidation. Which makes this a WOT topic, IMO

[Searchlight-Germany] According to media reports, a ten-year-old boy was raped by three fourth-graders, all from Syria and Afghanistan.

Shortly before the summer holidays 38 girls and boys went to the castle of Kröchlendorff. The operators of the facility there are particularly popular for their adventure pedagogy. Pupils should be able to escape from their everyday life and the house is situated in the middle of nature. For a ten-year-old boy, however, the stay should not be at all pleasant.

"We'll f*ck you today," his tormentors threatened him during the day. But because he was silent, it actually became bitterly serious. Two
allegedly
11-year-olds held the boy. A
allegdly
10-year-old boy in his class raped him. Two uninvolved classmates simply watched.

The three teachers and an educator allegedly didn't notice anything.

Several weeks later, a victim of the boy entrusted himself to a social worker at his school. After the rape became known to the school, the parents and the police were immediately informed.

The perpetrators were excluded from class until the beginning of the holiday. It was also agreed that none of the perpetrators should return to the old school. The two
allegdly
eleven-year-old accomplices from Syria and Afghanistan have already been placed in other schools.
...where the colonists will no doubt go on to do the same to other native children, having learnt there is no real punishment for taking their pleasure.
The main perpetrator, an Afghan, who is said to be even younger than his victim, was not medically diagnosed. The reason: he is supposedly recognizable as a child and can therefore not be punished. The
allegedly
10-year-old Afghan, who also lived in Iran,
... for eleven years...
had already attracted negative attention at his school several times before the sexual assault on the 10-year-old. He is said to have regularly hit other classmates and stood in their way.

#1  Germans have become multi-cultural pu**ies, who knew ? German fathers bend over for Moslems.?

Where is the father of this child? What is "socially acceptable" if a Moslem rapes your child?

Protest? Depend on the school to transfer the offender to another school? A child can't be charged with rape, no, no, no. But a Moslem child CAN rape another child. That's perfectly understandable. We must be tolerant of other cultural values.

What would YOU do if someone raped your child and you knew where to find them.....?

#5  At the very least, they and their entire families should be deported back to their desert hell holes.

The worst that could happen to them under German law is involuntary commitment to a closed psychiatric facility. This wouldn't be a punitive measure but a measure to prevent them from being a danger to themselves or others.

This isn't going to happen.

The victim's family would be well advised to lie very low.

Should they go public and demand political consequences they'd be a prime target for retribution, political and otherwise.

Right now the establishment would react very harshly to anyone who would dare interfere with the post Chemnitz anti rightist rectification campaign.

#12  Fact is, it's koranic.

BOYS.

Homosexuality was and is widely practised in Islamic countries. To please the homosexuals among his followers he promised them pre-pubescent boys in Paradise. So after committing plunder, loot, rape and murder in this life, the followers of Islam get "rewarded" by untouched virginal youths who are fresh like pearls.

(QURAN 52:24): "And there will go round boy-servants of theirs, to serve them as if they were preserved pearls."

(QURAN 56:17): "They will be served by immortal boys."

(QURAN 76:19): "And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls."

It is common in Arabic poetry to glorify homosexuality, take their famous poet Abu Nuwas:

O the joy of sodomy!
So now be sodomites, you Arabs.
Turn not away from it--
therein is wondrous pleasure.
Take some coy lad with kiss-curls
twisting on his temple
and ride as he stands like some gazelle
standing to her mate.
A lad whom all can see girt with sword
and belt not like your whore who has
to go veiled.
Make for smooth-faced boys and do your
very best to mount them, for women are
the mounts of the devils

1 dead, 7 wounded in Cleveland nightclub shooting
[Breitbart] CLEVELAND (AP) ‐ Police say a 28-year-old woman has been fatally shot and seven men wounded during an event featuring local rap artists at a Cleveland nightclub.

A Cleveland police spokeswoman says officers were called to Club X-Rated, near downtown, around 1 a.m. Saturday and found the woman at the back of the bar with a gunshot wound to the head. She died at a hospital. Police earlier reported her age as 31.

The spokesman says a fight broke out inside the club leading to gunfire. The fight then spilled outside and more shots were fired.

Six of the men, ranging in age from 19 to 53, were treated for gunshot wounds at local hospitals. A 25-year-old man was shot in the chest, arm and hand and is hospitalized.

No suspects have been arrested.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Series of explosions reported at Syrian military airport
[CNN, so who knows...] A series of explosions was reported late Saturday in al-Mazzeh, the location of a large military airport near Damascus.

The private, pro-regime news outlet al-Mayadeen originally reported that Israeli airstrikes hit the airbase near Damascus with multiple missiles. However, Syrian state media later cited an unnamed military source denying the base was hit by Israel.
And if you can't believe Syrian State Media...
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) and Syria state television reported a "military source denies the exposure of the Mazzeh Airport to any Israeli aggression and the sounds of explosions that were heard resulted from explosion of an ammunition depot near the airport because of electrical failure."
About four explosions were heard coming from the direction of the military airport Saturday, a Damascus resident told CNN.

"I assume it was from an airstrike because of the explosions afterwards and ambulances with firefighters that went to the scene," the resident said. Some clips of the explosions and the aftermath -- seemingly filmed by phones at a distance -- emerged on various forums including Facebook and WhatsApp. Video showed bright flashes of light in the night sky in some kind of explosion, but didn't reveal precisely what caused the blasts.

Syrian state media in the past have widely reported Israeli and other airstrikes targeting regime bases, outposts or other Syrian targets.

Besides the military airport, the al-Mazzeh area is home to embassies, security buildings and the homes of some members of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's inner circle, according to opposition activists.

VA nurse admits fatally poisoning ‘unfaithful' hubby with Visine
[NY Post] A Bible-studying South Carolina woman who once griped online that her hubby was unfaithful was charged with murder ‐ after admitting to poisoning him with eye drops, officials said.

Lana Clayton, 52, was booked Friday after an autopsy uncovered a high amount of tetrahydrozoline in her husband’s body, officials said.

The chemical is found in over-the-counter drops, such as Visine, and reduces redness by restricting blood vessels. But when it’s swallowed, it acts as a neurotoxin and attacks the nervous system.

Lana Clayton admitted to spiking her husband’s water with eye drops over a three day span, between July 19 and 21, the York County Sherriff’s office said.

Steven Clayton, 64, was found dead July 21 in their palatial home, worth over $800,000, in Clover, South Carolina, about 30 miles southwest of Charlotte, N.C. It appeared he had fallen down the stairs.

The home was designed as a copy of George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate, and Steven Clayton had carefully worked to restore his property, according to The Herald of Rock Hill, S.C.

An accountant, Steven Clayton was the founder of Physical Therapy Resources, a national company with branches throughout the United States. He retired in 1995, according to his obituary in the Herald.

His funeral was held in the home’s back yard on Aug. 4, before the autopsy results revealed the cause of death, according to WSOC-TV in Charlotte.

One neighbor said she knew Lana Clayton from a neighborhood Bible Study group.

A friend told a local newspaper that Lana worked in nursing for the VA hospital in Charlotte. Police have not released a motive for the crime.

Iraq
Iraqi security forces kill senior Daesh leader in Salahuddin
[PRESSTV] Iraqi security forces have killed a high-ranking commander of the ISIS Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
terrorist group in the country’s north-central province of Salahuddin as government troops, backed by allied fighters from the Popular Mobilization Units, are seeking to purge the war-ravaged Arab country of remnants of the bad boy outfit.

Colonel Mohammed al-Bazi, a provincial police source, said members of the Federal Police force and pro-government fighters ‐ more commonly known by the Arabic name Hashd al-Sha’abi ‐ engaged in a fierce exchange of gunfire with ISIS Takfiris in a rural area west of Shirqat town, located some 280 kilometers north of the capital Baghdad, early on Saturday.

Bazi added that Iraqi soldiers and their allies managed to fatally shoot Salih Karkaz, wanted by Iraqi forces as the leader of the so-called Nahavand Battalion.

OVER TWO DOZEN DAESH TERRORISTS CAPTURED NORTHWEST OF MOSUL

Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Nunzio wondered: Where the hell was Chumbaloni? And where was his $600?...
at least 26 ISIS snuffies have been tossed in the slammer
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
during a counter-terrorism operation near Badush village, situated 24 kilometers west of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
.

Captain Omar Sabah of the Nineveh Operations Command said Iraqi security forces also seized weapons and hand grenades from the captured Takfiris.

Sabah added that the bandidos snuffies have been transferred to prison pending trial.

DAESH TERRORISTS MURDER HASHD SHA’ABI CMDR., FAMILY

Elsewhere in Khuwair village of the northern province of Nineveh, ISIS snuffies executed a senior Hashd al-Sha’abi commander and seven members of his family.

A security source, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, told Arabic-language Baghdad Today news website that the Takfiri krazed killers, disguised as security forces, stormed the house of Hussein al-Hamad, shooting him, his wife, five children and his father to death.

The source added that Iraqi army troops and police forces have been dispatched to the village, and launched an operation to capture the perpetrators.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, who is also the commander-in-chief of Iraqi forces, pledged on June 30 to hunt down ISIS snuffies across Iraq after a series of attacks and abductions carried out by the terrorist group.

"We will chase the remaining cells of terrorism in their hideouts and we will kill them, we will chase them everywhere, in the mountains and the desert," Abadi said.

India-Pakistan
Pentagon cancels aid to Pakistan over record on militants
[REUTERS] The U.S. military said it has made a final decision to cancel $300 million in aid to Pakistain that had been suspended over Islamabad’s perceived failure to take decisive action against turbans, in a new blow to deteriorating ties.

The so-called Coalition Support Funds were part of a broader suspension in aid to Pakistain announced by President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
at the start of the year, when he accused Pakistain of rewarding past assistance with "nothing but lies & deceit."

The Trump administration says Islamabad is granting safe haven to snuffies who are waging a 17-year-old war in neighboring Afghanistan, a charge Pakistain denies.

But U.S. officials had held out the possibility that Pakistain could win back that support if it changed its behavior.

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, in particular, had an opportunity to authorize $300 million in CSF funds through this summer - if he saw concrete Pak actions to go after myrmidons. Mattis chose not to, a U.S. official told Rooters.

"Due to a lack of Pak decisive actions in support of the South Asia Strategy the remaining $300 (million) was reprogrammed," Pentagon front man Lieutenant Colonel Kone Faulkner said.

Faulkner said the Pentagon aimed to spend the $300 million on "other urgent priorities" if approved by Congress. He said another $500 million in CSF was stripped by Congress from Pakistain earlier this year, to bring the total withheld to $800 million.

The disclosure came ahead of an expected visit by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the top U.S. military officer, General Joseph Dunford, to Islamabad. Mattis told news hounds on Tuesday that combating forces of Evil would be a "primary part of the discussion."

Florida man arrested after he allegedly gave girlfriend a 'wet willy,' affidavit says
[FOXNEWS] A man in St. Lucie County, Fla. , was arrested after he allegedly gave his girlfriend a “wet willy” while he was belligerent, an affidavit says.
One of us present has no idea what a "wet willy" might be.
A local sheriff’s deputy was called to the home of 47-year-old Joseph Sireci in mid-August. The man’s girlfriend claimed that she found Sireci drunk on the living room floor after she returned home from work.
"A-yup.I come home, an' there he wuz!"
According to an affidavit reviewed by the Treasure Coast Newspapers, Sireci went with his girlfriend, who has not been identified, and her daughter to a different person’s trailer house home.
"Long as he wuz there we brung him with us."
There, Sireci “continued to drink and be belligerent,” according to the affidavit.
"Thet's kinda what he duz..."
Then, on the way home, Sireci allegedly grabbed his girlfriend’s hand, pulled her arm and “continued by giving her a ‘wet willy’ sticking his finger in her ear,” the affidavit says, according to the newspaper.
"And he hollered 'Stick it in the ear, dear!' an' that's whut he dun! Right in front of my, an' possibly his, own daughter!
According to inmate records, Sireci was arrested on a battery charge. He declined to give a written statement, but said he wasn't drunk.
"No, sir! I wuz cold sober when I stick my finger in her ear right in front of her and possibly our daughter!"

Slain 83-year-old West Baltimore woman was independent, well-known throughout the neighborhood
[BALTIMORESUN] Neighbors grew concerned when they didn’t see 83-year-old Dorothy Mae Neal walking with her cane to the bus stop as she did almost daily.

The elderly woman was independent, and always could be seen leaving her apartment in the 2300 block of Winchester St. in West Baltimore.

"She wasn’t the type to stay in the house," said her neighbor of 20 years, who didn’t want her name published out of safety concerns.

When Neal was not seen for several days, the neighbor said she called police Wednesday and officers responded a short time later. Outside Neal’s basement unit at the Rosemont Gardens Apartments, Neal’s mail lay on the ground, which the neighbor said was unusual.

Inside police found Neal just inside the door, the neighbor said.

She was unresponsive and the apparent victim of an assault, police said. She was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Police are investigating her death as a homicide.

Neal’s neighbor, 67, knew Neal since she bought a home on the block 20 years ago. She said Neal lived alone and only has family out of state.

"She had no one to look after her," the neighbor said.

Another neighbor who lives in Neal’s building, Eartha Davis, said she didn’t know Neal well, but often saw her coming and going from the bus stop with her cane.

"It’s sad when anyone dies, but she was an elderly woman," Davis said. "It’s very scary. It’s the first time I heard of anything so close."

Davis said she watched as paramedics carried Neal out of the apartment. Police came to her door and left a flyer asking for information, offering up to a $4,000 reward.

Victims in Amsterdam stabbing are Americans
[YAHOO] Two people maimed in a knife attack at the Dutch capital's busy main railway station on Friday are both American citizens who were visiting the Netherlands, the U.S. ambassador said Saturday as police investigated possible motives, including the possibility it was an bad boy act.

Police shot and maimed a 19-year-old Afghan man immediately after the attack and are questioning him as a suspect.

A dramatic photo captured by a passerby shows two coppers pointing their pistols at a man wearing jeans and sneakers lying on the ground inside a tunnel in the station.

Ambassador Pete Hoekstra issued a written statement saying embassy officials had been in touch with the victims or their families. Police say they have serious but not life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not disclose the identities of the victims.

"We wish them a speedy recovery and are working closely with the City of Amsterdam to provide assistance to them and their families," Hoekstra said.

Police say they are still trying to establish a reason for the attack, including whether it was motivated by extremism.

A statement issued late Friday by Amsterdam's city council said that the Americans did not appear to have been victims of a assassination.

Initial police inquiries did not indicate that the victims were chosen deliberately or with a clear reason, Amsterdam authorities said. "The investigation is still underway, and all scenarios remain open for the investigation team," the City Hall statement said.

Police said in a statement Saturday that the Afghan man was being questioned in the hospital with the help of an interpreter. His identity has not been released, but police say he has a German residency permit.

The stabbings occurred shortly after noon (1000 GMT; 6 a.m. EDT) on Friday at Central Station in downtown Amsterdam.

"Something happened, we don't know yet what, but during that two people were stabbed and one person with a knife in his hand walked away and he was shot by police," police front man Rob van der Veen said Friday.

Betsy DeVos is getting savaged for closing campus kangaroo courts
[NYPOST] judicial process that doesn’t allow the accused to cross-examine his accuser or reliably see the evidence against him is a civil libertarian’s nightmare. It traduces every principle of fairness and is blatantly un-American.

Yet Education Secretary Betsy DeVos is about to get savaged for replacing just such a process with something more in keeping with our longstanding legal norms.

The Education Department is preparing new rules that would roll back the monstrously unfair Obama-era requirements for how colleges handle sexual-assault and harassment allegations. It will be a significant advance for due process, which is almost as out of style on campus as free speech.

In one of its least defensible actions, the B.O. regime used its Office for Civil Rights to impose its preferred procedures for handling sexual-assault cases on all the universities in the country that receive federal funds. It did it via a 19-page "Dear Colleague" letter, in the name of Title IX, the provision in federal law prohibiting sexual discrimination in education.

The process was terrible. It blew right by the Administrative Procedure Act, which requires public notice and comment before such rules go into effect. And the substance was worse. If the letter reads as if it was written by inflamed activists who had no interest in balanced proceedings, that’s because it was.

It required colleges to adopt a "preponderance of evidence" standard rather than a "clear and convincing" standard.

POTUS Drops Bomb on Deep State: Illicit Actions Revealed – Obama Admin Caught in Act Spying on Political Opponent
[Gateway Pundit] On Monday evening Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) revealed Congressional investigators have learned the FBI and DOJ previously leaked information to the press then used those same press stories as a separate source to justify seeking FISA warrants on Trump advisor Carter Page. They knew all along the story was bogus and planted the evidence in the liberal media.

On Friday conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch dropped another bombshell. The Justice Department admitted in a court filing that the FISA Court never held hearings on the FISA applications for former Trump advisor Carter Page.
Emphasis added
Now it appears and is likely that the Obama administration bypassed the FISA Court to spy on the Trump campaign based on a story they knew to be false.

ImperatorRex on Twitter explained how the Obama administration went around the FISA Court to spy on the opposition party based on lies they helped push in the liberal fake news media.

Political Movement Unveils Thousands Of Fake ID Cards
If even a brand new democracy like Afghanistan cares about fake votes, how much more should an old democracy like America be concerned.
[ToloNews] A political movement which is called the Grand National Coalition of Afghanistan by its members displayed thousands of fake national identity cards and voter stickers at an event on Saturday.

Members of coalition said such an attempt will provide the ground for a widespread fraud in the upcoming elections.

Photos of government officials, influential figures and MPs were used in the fake identity cards. The photo of Jabbar Qahraman, an MP and analyst, was used for five ID cards with stickers on them.

"The identity cards include photos of dead people, photos of government officials while all have stickers on them," said Humayun Humayun, member of the coalition’s leadership.

Members of the coalition said some employees of the Independent Election Commission have helped them in collecting the fake identity cards.

"We will use all our resources to have a transparent election otherwise there will be a need for an alternative administration to pave the ground for election reforms," said Ahmad Zia Massoud, member of the coalition’s leadership and former special envoy for President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
TOLOnews could not get Afghanistan's Central Civil Registration Authority’s comment on the report despite repeated attempts.

The commission said it is security agencies’ task to arrest those who commit fraud by printing fake identity cards.

"This is not our task. This is security and intelligence agencies’ task to find out who has done fraud," said Hafizullah Hashemi, a front man for Independent Election Commission.

"We will not let a fraudulent election to be held because the future of our country will be damaged by it," said Humayun.

According to the election commission, more than nine million people have registered to vote in the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections in the country.

Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
rebels concluded on Saturday that "mistakes" had been made in the August 9 air raid in Saada province.

At the day of the attack, coalition spokesperson Colonel Turki al-Malki had defended the air raid, saying his forces hit a "legitimate military target", which included "operators and planners".

But in a rare concession, the military alliance's investigative body, the Joint Incident Assessment Team (JIAT), said that those behind it should be held accountable.

"The Joint Team ... is of the opinion that the coalition forces should initiate legal action to try and penalise those responsible for the mistakes, which caused collateral damage in the area," Mansour Ahmed al-Mansour, a legal adviser to JIAT, told news hounds in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Woman knifed in north London amid surge in stabbings
[PRESSTV] Police in London have attended to another scene of violence involving knife after a young woman was badly stabbed in broad daylight.

The attack on the woman, who was reported to be in her 20s, took place around noon local time on Saturday in Caledonian Road in north London.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital. Her injuries was described as not life threatening.

“We were called at 10:16am, there were a number of calls to us reporting a stabbing incident ... We sent a number of vehicles,” said a health official after the incident.

Police officers were in the scene of the attack while traffic was being diverted from the area. Authorities said they had detained an unidentified man on suspicion of attempted murder. Earlier reports suggested the perpetrator or perpetrators had been at large.

The attack is the latest to come from a spate of knife crimes in London. At least 20 young people have been stabbed to death in the British capital since the start of the year. A man in his 20s died on 25 August after being knifed on Creek Road in Deptford, south east London.

Syrian Army reinforcements continue to pour into Idlib for upcoming offensive
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has sent another large convoy to northern Syria, as their upcoming Idlib offensive approaches.

According to a military report, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Corps were the latest group to make their way to the Idlib Governorate this upcoming offensive.

The 5th Corps, who was trained by the Russian military, has been relatively successful since their formation in 2016.

Afghanistan
Up To 10,000 Afghans Return Home From Iran Daily
[ToloNews] The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said this week that the number of Afghan refugees returning home from Iran has doubled recently as Iranian currency loses its value against dollar unprecedentedly.

IOM statistics show that between 8,000 to 10,000 undocumented Afghan return home from Iran every day.

IOM says the main reason behind the increase of returnees from Iran is the economic crisis in Iran that has loomed following new US sanctions on Tehran.

"429,845 refugees from Iran and 23,301 refugees from Pakistain have been deported or voluntary returned," said Kazim Elham, head of border returnees department at IOM.

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) meanwhile said the number of return refugees has increased unprecedentedly in recent weeks.

"When the currency loses its value, refugees cannot afford their daily expenses there therefore they decide to return to Afghanistan," said Islamuddin Jurat, head of Communication and Public Relations Department of MoRR.

An Afghan refugee who has returned from Iran last month said the money a refugee gains form working in Iran is only enough for his living costs and that he cannot save the money for his family.

Shahida Durani said he was working in Tehran but was not earning enough money due to the fall of Iranian Rial against US dollar.

"Six months ago, we would work from 16,000 to 17,000 AFs in a month. But now one million Iranian Toman is equal to 7,000 AFs which is not enough," said Durani.

Durani, 28, said two years ago he spent lots of money to reach Iran through illegal routes, but this year he had no option but to leave as he could not make savings there.

IOM statistics show that 514,405 Afghans returned home from Iran and Pakistain from January 1 to August 25 of which 492,343 of them returned home from Iran.

Statistics show that Iran still hosts 2.14 million Afghan refugees.

In-N-Out burger chain receives invitation from Alabama lawmaker
[FOXNEWS] An Alabama state senator has invited the California-based In-N-Out hamburger chain to his state after some California Democrats called for a boycott of the chain over donations made to the state's GOP.

State Sen. Phil Williams, a Republican from Rainbow City, Ala., tweeted his invitation Thursday night.

"Hey #InNOutBurger c'mon to Alabama! We love burgers, and we love #Republicans! #alpolitics," Williams tweeted.

— Sen. Phil Williams (@SenPhilWilliams) August 31, 2018

In-N-Out reportedly donated $25,000 to the California Republican Party earlier this week, and the revelation has caused many who identify as Democrats — or just not Republican — to demand a boycott of the chain.

"Tens of thousands of dollars donated to the California Republican Party ... it's time to #BoycottInNOut - let Trump and his cronies support these creeps... perhaps animal style!" Eric Bauman, chairman of the California Democratic Party, tweeted Thursday.

— EricBauman (@EricBauman) August 30, 2018

This is not the first time In-N-Out has donated to the GOP. In 2016 and 2017, the company donated $30,000 to the Republican Party for general expenses, Los Angeles magazine reported.

But the fast-food restaurant has also given thousands of dollars to support the Democratic PAC "Californians for Jobs and a Strong Economy," a pro-business group created by Democrat David Townsend in 2009.

In-N-Out was founded in Baldwin Park, Calif., in 1948. Its headquarters is currently in Irvine, Calif. It operates restaurants in six states: California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Texas and Utah.

Turkish-backed rebels, Russians reach agreement to allow Syrian Army offensive in west Aleppo
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels and the Russian Reconciliation Center have allegedly reached an agreement regarding the situation in west Aleppo.

According to opposition activists, Ottoman Turkish-backed Harakat Noureddine al-Zinki agreed to retreat from several areas in west Aleppo so that the Russian and Syrian forces can attack the remaining jihadists from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
.

Furthermore, Harakat Noureddine al-Zinki has allegedly agreed to fight Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in the western countryside of Aleppo.

In turn, the Russian and Syrian forces will not target any of Harakat Noureddine al-Zinki positions in western Aleppo.

Harakat Nouriddeen al-Zinki has yet to corroborate these claims; however, negotiations between the Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels and the Russian Reconciliation Center have been going on for days.

Turkey officially adds large Syrian jihadist group to terror list ahead of Idlib offensive
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
has officially added the Syrian jihadist group "Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
" to their national terror list.

This move by the Ottoman Turkish government comes on the eve of the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) scheduled offensive in the Idlib, Hama, and Latakia governorates.

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham is one of the largest jihadist groups in Syria; they are primarily active in the Hama, Aleppo, Idlib, and Latakia governorates.

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham’s positions in northwestern Syria are expected to be the Syrian Arab Army’s primary target during their offensive.

Russia has been pressuring the Ottoman Turkish regime to eliminate the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham snuffies from the Idlib Governorate for several months now; however, they have often been reluctant due to their relationship with the jihadist group.

Flights suspended from Libyan capital Tripoli’s only working airport
[ARABNEWS] The only operational airport in the unrest-hit Libyan capital Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
suspended all flights Friday, an airport source said, after fierce fighting near the city that has left at least 39 dead this week.

Hundreds of people have been injured in the festivities between rival militias, which broke out on Monday in suburbs south of Tripoli, according to a new toll by the health ministry released Friday.

Fighting had temporarily ceased on Thursday following a cease-fire deal, but reignited in the evening and continued into Friday, with intermittent bursts of heavy fire.

Witnesses and Libyan rescue services said rockets and shells had hit multiple areas around and within the capital, causing civilian casualties.

Several rockets landed near Tripoli’s Mitiga airport, forcing authorities to suspend flights for at least 48 hours for security reasons, according to the airport official.

The UN in Libya said it "strongly condemns the loss of civilian lives" in the city and called on all parties to prevent further casualties and cease hostilities in a statement on Twitter.

Flights were temporarily rerouted to the airport in Misrata, some 200 kilometers (125 miles) east of Tripoli, the airport source said.

Iran says it plans to boost ballistic, cruise missile capacity
[ARABNEWS] Iran plans to boost its ballistic and cruise missile capacity and acquire modern fighter planes and submarines, the Iranian state news agency IRNA quoted a senior Defense Ministry official as saying on Saturday.

News of the military development plans came a day after Iran dismissed a French call for negotiations on Tehran’s future nuclear plans, its ballistic missile arsenal and its role in wars in Syria and Yemen, following the US pullout from Tehran’s nuclear agreement with world powers.

State media also reported the launch earlier this week of war games involving some 150,000 volunteer Basij militia members, who vowed to defend the Islamic state against "foreign threats" including its arch foe, the United States.

Tehran is furious over US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s decision to withdraw from the accord on Iran’s nuclear program and re-impose sanctions on Tehran.

Senior Iranian officials have warned the country will not yield easily to a renewed US campaign to strangle Iran’s vital oil exports. They say the country’s missile program is solely for defense purposes and is not negotiable as demanded by the United States and European countries.

"Increasing ballistic and cruise missile capacity ... and the acquisition of next-generation fighters and heavy and long-range vessels and submarines with various weapons capabilities are among the new plans of this ministry," said Mohammad Ahadi, deputy defense minister for international affairs, IRNA said.

Speaking to Tehran-based foreign military attaches, Ahadi said international sanctions had not hampered the development of Iran’s arms industry.

As far as I'm concerned, let the Iranian people eat missile fuel and new fighters. No one is going to get them out of this mess except themselves, and until they face up to that it's not going to change. The mullahs will continue to crush them with religious insanity and their lives will keep getting just a little bit worse.

fighters who overran a military base in the country's northeast, according to military sources.

Scores of fighters in trucks stormed the base at Zari village in Borno state late on Thursday and briefly captured it after intense fighting, two sources told AFP news agency on Saturday.

"They came in large numbers in trucks and carrying heavy weapons and engaged soldiers in a battle that lasted for an hour," a military officer said.

"They overwhelmed the troops who were forced to temporarily withdraw before reinforcements arrived," said the officer who asked not to be named because he was not authorised to speak.

Boko Haram took weapons and military equipment before they were pushed out of the base by troops with aerial support, said a second military source who gave a similar corpse count.

"The gunnies also suffered heavy casualty from the bombardment," one of the military officers said.

Boko Haram are thought to have attacked the base from the nearby Garunda village, where 17 troops were killed and 14 maimed in an attack on another military base last month, the sources said.

Tehran denies providing ballistic missiles to Iraqi militias
[IsraelTimes] Foreign ministry front man calls Reuter’s report on weapons reportedly capable of reaching Tel Aviv an 'unfounded lie' intended to 'cause panic among countries in the region'.

The Friday report stated that several dozen rockets capable of hitting Israel and Tehran’s Sunni rival Soddy Arabia

The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
had been deployed with Iran’s Shiite proxies in Iraq.

It added that Iran was working to provide its allies with missile manufacturing facilities, and has been training militia members in operating the new weapons.

The deployment is meant to improve Iran’s ability to retaliate against any Western or Arab attacks on its territory, as well as to expand its options for attacking opponents in the region, Rooters said.

The report cited "three Iranian officials, two Iraqi intelligence sources and two Western intelligence sources."

Iran’s proxies, allied militias as well as its own forces are involved in internal conflicts in Syria, Leb, Iraq, and Yemen.

The move makes Iran’s allies in Iraq better able to attack US troops in the country in the event Iran is attacked.

"We have bases like that in many places and Iraq is one of them. If America attacks us, our friends will attack America’s interests and its allies in the region," one top IRGC commander said.

Florida's Democratic gubernatorial candidate under attack
[YAHOO] Andrew Gillum, who engineered a surprising upset victory in Florida's Democratic primary this week, is picking up endorsements, money and plenty of national attention in the aftermath of his win.

But as the Tallahassee mayor mounts his bid to become Florida's first black governor, he is already coming under swift attack from Republican opponents who are trying to use a slow-moving corruption investigation into Tallahassee city government to portray Gillum as untrustworthy.

The investigation broke into the open last summer shortly after Gillum joined the race, but it was not extensively debated or discussed by his Democratic opponents before he won Tuesday's primary. But by Thursday, the Republican Governor's Association launched a digital ad that blasted Gillum. It focused on both the City Hall probe and an earlier incident in which Gillum paid back the city after he used city money to buy software that was used to send out campaign emails. Likewise, the campaign of U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, who won the GOP primary, is also trying to draw attention to the investigation.

The 39-year-old Gillum ‐ who will appear on NBC's "Meet the Press" and CNN"s "State of the Union" this Sunday ‐contends he is ready for the onslaught of attacks that have just begun to ramp up.

"A lot of people counted us out, they thought we would completely surrender under all the innuendo and the pressure of the moment," said Gillum this week. "I spoke directly to voters. I answered their questions. ... It wasn't as if those voters weren't aware of all the issues that were swirling."

UNHCR chief calls for ‘dignified return’ of Syrian exiles
[ARABNEWS] The UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi said on Friday that Syrian refugees in Leb need assurances of a "safe and dignified return" to their homeland.
That probably means we should pay for it.
Grandi’s comments follow confirmation by Leb’s President Michel Aoun
...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
...

that Leb will continue to organize a gradual voluntary return of refugees in accordance with a Russian initiative.

Mu’in al-Marabi, Leb’s deputy secretary of state, who took part in the meeting between Grandi and Prime Minister Saad Hariri
Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too.
, told Arab News that the UN commissioner had no problem with the Russian initiative, but insisted that conditions should be suitable for repatriation of Syrian refugees.

"Grandi said we must be logical and unbiased when we discuss refugees’ return," al-Marabi said.

The UN commissioner cautioned against a hasty solution for the return of refugees, saying this would be counterproductive.

After defunding UNRWA, US said seeking to limit others’ aid to it, then close it
[IsraelTimes] Trump Administration will allow Gulf and Arab allies to help keep UN's Paleostinian refugee agency afloat for now, but ultimately wants it dismantled, Israeli TV reports

A day after the US announced it will not give any further funding to UNWRA, the UN agency that aids Paleostinian refugees, Israeli officials said the Trump Administration has made clear to them that it intends to see UNRWA closed down altogether and all its functions taken over by other agencies.

The US will not prevent the Gulf states, Arab nations, and others from providing emergency funding to keep UNRWA (the UN’s Relief and Works Agency for Paleostine Refugees) functioning this year, Israel’s Hadashot TV news reported on Saturday, quoting senior Israeli diplomatic sources. But it will condition its consent to further funding by US allies in the Arab world on a reevaluation of UNRWA’s role and a redefinition of who the agency defines as a Paleostinian refugee. Ultimately the TV report said, the US goal is to "close down UNRWA altogether."

Iraq
The puzzle of the US agenda in Iraq
[AlAhram] There was a time when people thought that the United States would not withdraw from Iraq and abandon the country that it had invaded to topple an entrenched and autocratic regime and allegedly build a modern state that could eventually join the club of secular democracies.

And there was a time, too, just a few years later, when scepticism greeted the idea that Washington would curtail the US military presence in Iraq after the administration of former president George W Bush finalised a pact with Baghdad that set out a path for the US withdrawal.

In both cases, doubters said that Washington would not really exit from Iraq after nearly a decade of costly intervention, even if some American politicians were eager to leave the messy conflict that had started with the 2003 US-led invasion.

The US military is quietly talking about a new hybrid fighter jet that could kill the F-35
  • [BUSINESSINSIDER] Lockheed Martin has been pitching the US Air Force a hybrid between the F-22 and the F-35.

  • The F-22 is the world's best air-to-air combat plane, and the F-35 has the best sensors and abilities to knock out air defenses.

  • Combining the two would create a jet much better than either one individually.

  • But by creating an all-around better jet could kill the market for the F-35, which has just started to come online and is the most expensive weapons system in history.

#1  ...This idea was originally pitched to the Japanese, and I gather aside from some cost issues (natch) they're quite interested. I'm hearing USAF and USN are also quietly looking into this - it might be a practical workaround for the F-22 shutdown and puts more and more capable birds on flight decks. Stay tuned...

#4  ...It goes back to two things:

1) The only - ONLY - aircraft that has ever served equally well with the USAF and USN/USMC is the F-4 Phantom II....and that was a happy accident.

2) The insistence on a Swiss Army knife airplane didn't start growing until the mid-90s, when the last corporate knowledge of what a clusterfark the USN/USAF F-111 had been went away from DOD. Along with it went the knowledge that the F-4 working out had been a fluke. But the beancounters - and let there be no mistake, that's where the blame lies - insisted that "the F-4 could serve two masters, therefore the JTF shall as well, selah."

And this is where our troubles began.

#5  I think the last of the Phantoms was used as a QF drone (except for museum and privately owned few) There are more people who believe if all the Tomcats at AMARC were returned to flight worthy status and a new A-10 line were built we would be at "the end of history." Fears over Iranian proxies’ Iraq missile factories
[ARABNEWS] Iraqi armed factions backed by Iran have been working for months to develop ballistic missiles and are threatening to use them against American forces in the country, Shiite commanders and Iraqi security officials told Arab News.

Improved missile technology being developed by Iranian proxy forces in another country in the Middle East will be of grave concern to Arab countries and the US.

, and helping Hezbollah build factories in Leb that produce similar weapons.

Iran has been financing and equipping dozens of Shiite and Sunni bad boy groups operating in Iraq since 2005. Some have become the most powerful military groups in Iraq and the region, including Badr Organization, Assaib Ahl al-Haq, Kattaib Hezbollah-Iraq and Saraya al-Kharasani.

All of the groups fought against ISIS over the last four years under the umbrella of the Popular Mobilization, alongside the regular Iraqi military and which was backed by the US-led coalition in Iraq.

LATEST VERSIONS

Although most of these groups have been equipped by Iran, many have established factories to manufacture they own weapons across the country.

They succeeded in producing some short-range missiles such as al-Ashtar, al-Muntaqim and al-Qaher, and have moved on to expand the ranges of these missiles.

The most advanced ‐ al-Fatah ‐ is the result two years work, a senior Shiite commander within the Saraya al-Kharassani faction told Arab News.

He said the ranges of the latest versions are still unclear as they have not yet had a chance to test them.

"All the (Shiite) armed factions have participated in this by using Iraqi and foreign experts," he said. "The missiles are ready but have not been used before. We may experiment them in the next few days near the border in Basra."

A report by Rooters on Friday said ballistic missiles had been transferred from Iran to Iraq over the past few months to threaten Iran’s enemies in the region.

The report said the missiles had a range of between 200 and 700 kilometers, putting Riyadh or the Israeli city of Tel Aviv within striking distance if the weapons were deployed in southern or western Iraq.

Shiite commanders and Iraqi security officials, however, told Arab News that these missiles have been built in Iraq and their range has not yet been tested to be classified as medium-range. They said their use for targets outside Iraq has not even discussed.

Sharjeel Memon sent back to jail after 'liquor bottles' recovered from hospital room
[DAWN] Chief Justice of Pakistain (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar said on Saturday he'd found three bottles of 'liquor' in the hospital room of incarcerated PPP leader Sharjeel Memon at Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
's Ziauddin Hospital.

"When Sharjeel Memon was asked [about the liquor], he said they were not his," Justice Nisar said, relating his surprise early-morning visit before hearing cases at the Supreme Court's Karachi registry.
"Ain't mine. Somebody left it here."
Memon had been under treatment and in judicial custody at the Ziauddin Hospital's Shirin Jinnah branch, where his room had been declared a sub-jail.

He was parcelled off to Karachi's Central Jail soon after the discovery of 'liquor' in his room, as police and hospital authorities scrambled to save face.

The CJP addressed the newly appointed attorney general, saying: "Anwar Mansoor Khan sahib, pay a little attention to this issue as well."

After the CJP's 'raid', the Sindh chief secretary and DIG Prisons Aftab Pathan reportedly reached Ziauddin Hospital in an effort to 'record evidence' and 'take action'.

Two people were subsequently taken into custody in connection with the presence of liquor at the hospital, DIG Aftab told DawnNewsTV.

One was said to be a driver employed by Memon. He claimed that one of the bottles had held cooking oil, and the other honey.

SSP South Omar Shahid Hamid said they'd collected blood samples from Memon and that "there will be an inquiry" and "action will be taken against those found responsible".

The facility housing the PPP MPA was one of three hospitals that the chief justice paid surprise visits to this morning before arriving at the court, DawnNewsTV reported.

Gateway Pundit follow-up on Gregg Jarrett story: 'POTUS Will Declassify Russia Docs This Week' (VIDEO)
[Gateway Pundit] On Saturday, FOX News legal analyst and attorney, Gregg Jarrett predicted President Trump will declassify the Russia docs this week in response to a Judicial Watch bombshell which revealed there was no FISA court hearings on the Carter Page warrants.

Jarrett also predicted the President will fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions after the midterm elections.

Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch dropped a bombshell on Spygate Friday.

The Justice Department admitted in a court filing this week that the FISA court never held hearings on the FISA applications for former Trump advisor Carter Page.

One FISA warrant and three subsequent FISA renewals on Carter Page were obtained by Obama’s corrupt FBI in order to spy on Trump’s campaign.

Comey, Rosenstein, McCabe and Sally Yates all signed the FISA applications even though Hillary’s fraudulent Russia dossier was used as a pretext to obtain the warrants.

Imran Khan assassination threat: Taliban 'Plot To Assassinate' new Pakistan prime minister
[EXPRESS.CO.UK] A TALIBAN terror group has been contacted about plans to assassinate newly-elected Prime Minster Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree...
, shock claims have emerged.

The terrifying threat against the former cricket star was announced by Pak journalist and TV anchor Sadia Afzaal on Friday night.

She claimed that Tehrik-e-Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
(TTP) local groups were contacted by a famous religious-political personality of Pakistain to order the execution of Mr Khan.

Speaking on Public News, Ms Afzaal, who assured the news was confirmed by ’very reliable sources’, said: "I cannot reveal the name of that person but it has been stated in a Military-Intelligence (MI) reports."

And News One TV anchor Jasmeen Manzoor made a similar claim alerting to the severe security threats faced by Imran Khan.

Taking to Twitter, @jasmeenmanzoor wrote: "High placed sources have disclosed that severe security threat to PM Imran Khan. I will also disclose who contacted TTP local groups for planning to assassinate him. May Allah protect him, Ameen."

This is not the first time the Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman has been a victim of a security threat.

Back in April, intelligence reports revealed that the Taliban may attack Mr Khan, The Times of Islamabad reported, and the Pakistain Prime Minister has been forced to increase his security protocol.

Old ways are best
[PopularMechanics] One of the dangers of floating in a space station is that you really have to worry about leaks. After all, there’s only a thin metal shell standing between you and the vacuum of space, and even a small hole can quickly prove disastrous.

That’s the reality the astronauts aboard the International Space Station awoke to yesterday, when it was discovered that a small leak in the station was causing the air pressure inside to drop. Fortunately, the hole was small enough that it wasn’t life-threatening, and one of the astronauts simply plugged the hole with his finger while waiting for a more permanent fix.

[ALMASDARNEWS] A high ranking jihadist commander was reportedly assassinated in the Idlib Governorate on Saturday.

According to opposition activists, the field commander of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
, Ahmad Fouad Deeb, was killed on Saturday when an IED exploded under his car in the Idlib Governorate town of Saraqib.

The opposition activists reported that Deeb was the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham military commander of the Badiya sector.

No group has grabbed credit for this latest liquidation in the Idlib Governorate.

Meanwhile,

rebel activists have taken to social media to accuse the Syrian Arab Army’s sleeper cells of carrying out the attack.

9/11 hijackers were brought to US from Saudi Arabia by CIA: Scholar
[PRESSTV] Fifteen of the 9/11 "hijackers" from Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
were CIA agents who were brought to the United States by the American spy agency, says Dr. Kevin Barrett, an American academic who has been studying the events of 9/11 since late 2003.

Dr. Barrett, a founding member of the Scientific Panel for the Investigation of 9/11, made the remarks in a phone interview with Press TV on Friday while commenting on a Newsweek report about a new explosive book on 9/11 that has revealed a US government-wide cover-up of Saudi complicity in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

#1  Buried within Dr. Barrett's rubbish:

But it becomes even more sensitive when we go one step beyond what Newsweek is reporting and what this book is reporting and ask: ‘Why were higher-ups telling the FBI to stay away from these guys who would be later blamed for the alleged 9/11 hijackings?’” he said.

“The reason they are giving is that, well, perhaps the CIA was interested in recruiting these guys, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi among them, and therefore the FBI would be getting in the way of their recruitment.

#2  Barrett has, for over a decade, been pushing a variety of 9-11 conspiracy theories.

He also has other conspiracy theories, e.g., he believes the Charlie Hebdo massacre was an Israeli false flag op; he also claims Israel was behind the disappearance of Malaysia Flight 370.

He is interviewed frequently by PressTV and he has a small but dedicated following in the US that buy his books and pay a subscription fee for his regular output.

US-trained militants planned to carry out terrorist attacks in Palmyra -- Russian MoD
[RT] US specialists were training Death Eaters in Syria who were set to carry out a terrorist attacks in Palmyra, the Russian Defense Ministry has said. It received the information from fighters captured by the Syrian Army.

The captured Death Eaters said that they were from the Lions of the East Army group, which is affiliated with the Free Syrian Army
... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
, according to the ministry. Some 500 fighters were based at the holy warriors’ camp, which was located near the US-led international coalition’s al-Tanf military base.

The Death Eaters were to carry out "a series of terrorist attacks in Palmyra area" and ensure the passage of around 300 fighters to capture the city within the next week, the ministry said. One of the captured Death Eaters said that they were trained by US instructors, and that the group was receiving weapons and ammunition from the US base.

Al-Tanf base is close to the Rukban refugee camp, which contains over 60,000 women and kiddies from the cities of Raqqa and Der ez-Zor.

In late July, the Russian Defense Ministry also warned about chemical-weapons provocations planned by Death Eaters in Idlib province, northwestern Syria. It said that an attack would be used as a pretext for Arclight airstrikes on Syrian targets by the US, UK and La Belle France.

The Defense Ministry added that USS ’The Sullivans,’ an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided missile destroyer, had already been deployed to the Persian Gulf for the operation.

In April, the US, UK and La Belle France unleashed a bombing campaign on Syria. The airstrikes were carried out in response to an alleged gas attack in Douma on April 7, which the West blamed on Bashir al-Assad’s government. The operation started hours before a team from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) was due to reach the city.

They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Death Eaters initially captured Palmyra, often referred to as the Bride of the Syrian Desert, in 2015, deliberately demolishing and damaging some of its world-famous historic sites. In March 2016, it was recaptured by the Syrian Army, supported by Russian airstrikes. IS managed to win Palmyra back the following December and to hold it until March 2017, when it was finally liberated by Damascus.

RINOs in the Senate have threatened to revolt if Sessions is fired. Party is expected to pick up a few Senate seats during midterms, so Trump can afford to lose a couple.

Overall Sessions has been decent. It's just his unwillingness to uproot the deep state that makes him a disaster.

Julia Salazar's lips were moving
h/t Instapundit
[FreeBeacon] The brother and mother of a New York City democratic socialist candidate went on the record to dispute many of the biographical claims she has made throughout the campaign.

A Tablet profile last week first revealed that state Senate candidate Julia Salazar, a progressive darling depicting herself as a Jewish immigrant, was actually born in the United States and ran several Christian organizations in college. One of the sources negating Salazar's claims was her own brother Alex Salazar, who told Tablet that they were both born in Miami and their father was not Jewish.

In a piece published Thursday, New York magazine City & State sat down with Alex and their mother Christine Salazar and discovered even more discrepancies in her life story.

Contrary to Salazar's claim that "my mom ended up raising my brother and me as a single mom, without a college degree and from a working-class background," her brother says they lived comfortably and their father made six-figures as a pilot and continued to pay child support following their divorce.

"We were very much middle class. We had a house in Jupiter along the river, it was in a beautiful neighborhood," he said.

The Grand Turk
Erdogan labels rating agencies as 'impostors' and 'racketeers'
[Al Jazeera] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
has accused Western credit-rating agencies of deliberately attempting to undermine the banking sector amid attacks on its currency, the lira.

Friday's scathing comments from Ottoman Turkish President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...
and his son-in-law, Finance Minister Berat Albayrak, came after two agencies, Moody's and Fitch, sounded more alarm this week about the state of Turkey's banks, citing the impact of the currency sell-off.

"These rating agencies - in a way that has no precedent in the world - right after every forex attack, have weighed in and made intensive efforts to create a pessimistic view of our banks," Albayrak said in a speech in Istanbul.

He said banks' balance sheets were stronger than most of their global rivals.

"If they have their dollars, we have our God. They can't topple Turkey with dollars," he told supporters in the northwestern province of Balikesir.

Arabia
Spyware sheik-down: UAE government accused of hacking phones of a prince, emir and other rivals
[RT] The United Arab Emirates (UAE) asked an Israel-based surveillance company to spy on a prince, a Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i emir, and other rivals by hacking their phones, according to leaked emails obtained by the New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

.

The emails cited in the Times report, which was published on Friday, were submitted in lawsuits against Israel-based NSO Group. The correspondence suggests that the surveillance company may have been involved in illegal spying for clients, with evidence indicating that the UAE signed a contract to license the spyware from "as early as August 2013."

The UAE sought to intercept the calls of some major rivals with the spyware ‐ including Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Ali Thani in 2014, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri
When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too.
, and Saudi Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah, who was seen as a contender for the throne at the time.

To trick their targets into downloading the Pegasus program, a text message ‐ usually carefully worded bait for the target ‐ was sent to the mobile phone with a link. Targets in the Persian Gulf received seemingly innocent text messages with apparently innocuous offers: "Ramadan is near ‐ incredible discounts," and "Keep your car tires from exploding in the heat."

When the link is clicked, spyware is secretly downloaded, giving the perpetrators access to a target’s contact information, text messages, emails, and social media data, including Facebook, Skype, WhatsApp, and Telegram. They could also listen in on phone calls and even potentially monitor "face-to-face conversations conducted nearby."

The lawsuits were filed in Israel and Cyprus by a Qatari national and Mexican journalists and activists, who say they were targeted by NSO’s spyware program, Pegasus.

According to the New York Times, four years ago ‐ at the request of the UAE ‐ the NSO Group’s affiliate successfully recorded the calls of the editor of London-based newspaper Al Araba and attempted to spy on foreign government officials to prove to the Emiratis what the software could do.

The NSO Group has previously sold the same spyware technology to Mexico, on the proviso that the software only be used against criminals and terrorists. Despite the caveat, countries that purchase the software are left to operate it on their own, and this has allegedly seen some of Mexico’s most prominent journalists, academics, human rights

lawyers, and criminal Sherlocks targeted.

NSO has previously admitted charging customers $650,000 to hack 10 devices... after an initial $500,000 installation fee. In the dual lawsuits, it is believed that the UAE may have forked out a total licensing fee of at least $18 million.
