[MyCentralOregon.Com] (NEW YORK) ‐ A former IT contractor for Jeffrey Epstein who said that he ended their business relationship over personal concerns about gaggles of apparently unsupervised young women on the embattled financier’s private island told ABC News that his reluctance to continue working there was underscored by what he said was an extensive collection of photos of topless women displayed throughout the island’s compounds. Six years was about all I could stand.
"There were photos of topless women everywhere," said contractor Steve Scully, who said he worked for Epstein for six years beginning in 1999. "On his desk, in his office, in his bedroom," Scully, a 69-year-old father of three girls, said of the private island dubbed "Little St. James."
Scully told ABC News that he was the chief owner and operator of a telecommunications business on the island of St. Thomas when he was contracted by Epstein to set up a communications network on Little St. James. During his employment, he estimated that he visited the exclusive island more than 100 times. At lease a dozen of the visits were systems related.
He said his memories of Epstein remain vivid.
"He was the most intense person I ever met," Scully said.
Epstein, 66 ‐ who at one time socialized with former President Bill Clinton, Great Britain’s Prince Andrew, and President Donald Trump ‐ has been charged with alleged sex trafficking of minor girls in Florida and New York. Some of the charges date back to the early 2000s.
Epstein has denied the charges. An attorney for the financier did not immediately respond to a request for comment about Scully’s claims.

In fact, if a woman has two husbands, almost all possible eventualities arising herein are supposed to result in some kind of fatality. Like either the second man has to kill the first man, or the first man has to 'sell' her to him willingly, first divorcing her. In one, after the divorce she's got to be raped by the father or brother of the new guy (Nikah e Halala) before assuming married life.

[FoxNews] Iran’s state television said Thursday that regime forces captured a foreign tanker with a crew of 12 accused of smuggling oil.
Hours later, it was announced the USS Boxer, a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship, loaded with 2,000 Marines and dozens of helicopters entered the Persian Gulf.
The tanker was seized by Revolutionary Guard forces on July 14 after getting intercepted south of Iran’s Larak Island in the strategic Strait of Hormuz amid allegations that the tanker was smuggling fuel from Iranian smugglers to foreign customers.
It remains unclear to which country or company the tanker belongs but a tanker based in the United Arab Emirates disappeared earlier this week.

[Daily Beast] Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyers downplayed his possession of a foreign passport under a fake name by suggesting he’d never used it‐but prosecutors said Wednesday that’s not the case.
In a letter to the federal judge who will decide if the financier stays in jail until trial, the U.S. attorney’s office said that the travel document "contains numerous ingress and egress stamps, including stamps that reflect use of the passport to enter France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia in the 1980s."
Epstein’s attorneys then shot back that there was an innocent explanation for the passport: He acquired it as "personal protection," to hide his Jewish identity from hijackers, kidnappers, or terrorists during travel in the Middle East.
"The government offers nothing to suggest‐and certainly no evidence‐that Epstein ever used it," the defense wrote to the judge‐a day before the prosecutors did just that.
The passport‐which was Austrian but listed a Saudi Arabia address‐was found in a locked safe in Epstein’s Manhattan mansion, and prosecutors cited it in court earlier this week as evidence that the accused sex trafficker is a flight risk.

[Aljazeera] Saudi Arabia became the world's largest arms importer from 2014 to 2018, accounting for 12 percent of the imports, an increase of 192 percent over 2009-2013, according to the latest report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
According to data for 2018, the United States continued to supply the bulk of arms to Saudi Arabia, accounting for 88 percent of all arms sold to the country.
Between 2014 and 2018, Saudi Arabia received 22 percent of the US's arms exports, a sharp increase from 4.9 percent from 2009 to 2013.
The data includes major arms, such as armoured vehicles, guided missiles, aircraft, artillery and ships.
Arms deliveries to Saudi Arabia in 2014-2018 included 56 combat aircraft from the US and 38 from the United Kingdom, according to the report. In both cases, the aircraft were equipped with cruise missiles and other guided weapons.

"Something very interesting that hasn't been written about occurred," diGenova told guest host Gregg Jarrett. "Bob Mueller went into that meeting with [Deputy Attorney General] Rod Rosenstein, and it was just three of them in the Oval Office, and Bob Mueller had a telephone, a cellphone," diGenova told Jarrett.
"He left that cellphone in Oval Office after the meeting. And it is now believed by many people that cellphone was used to broadcast the meeting between the president, Rod Rosenstein, and Bob Mueller, back to FBI headquarters, where they recorded the conversation with the president," diGenova said, before adding that Mueller likely left the phone there to "record what happened after they left."
Talk of Mueller leaving behind his cellphone in the Oval Office began with a book written by former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. He only mentions the phone off-hand and makes no assertions about clandestine surveillance.

A Rasmussen poll from last month showed that 26 percent of voters thought the phrase "undocumented Democrat" was offensive, compared to 61 percent who said it was not. Only 30 percent of Democrats polled said the term was offensive, compared to 50 percent who did not.
2020 presidential candidate Julian Castro, the brother of Rep. Joaquin Castro, has called for the decriminalization of border crossings. Julian Castro did not respond to a request for comment.
The News Agency that Dare Not be Named stylebook removed usage of the term "undocumented Democrat" in 2013, saying that "illegal" should "describe only an action, such as living in or immigrating to a country illegally." The anti-government armed elements including ISIS sympathizers have not commented regarding the operations so far.

[DAWN] India will identify and deport illegal immigrants colonists from across the country, the Indian interior minister said on Wednesday, stepping up a campaign that critics say could stoke religious tension and further alienate minority Moslems.
An exercise to identify alien immigrants colonists from Moslem-majority Bangladesh has been going on in the northeastern state of Assam for years, but Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Hindu nationalist-led government has taken it up in earnest.
The campaign was a key issue in this year's general election, won by Narendra Modi's Hindu-nationalist party.
Indian Home Minister Amit Shah told parliament the government would not limit its efforts to Assam, but would come down hard on illegal immigrants colonists anywhere.
"Illegal immigrants colonists living on every inch of this country will be deported according to the law," Shah told the upper house of parliament.
Shah, seen as a Hindu nationalist hardliner and a possible future replacement for Modi in the top job, called illegal migrants colonists "termites" eating into Assam's resources during the election campaign.
Critics accuse Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of a deep-seated bias against minority Moslems and say the campaign against illegal migrants colonists is aimed at Moslems, and threatens to further marginalise the community. The BJP denies the accusation and says it is opposed to the appeasement of any group.

[IsraelTimes] Two additional suspects injured in exchange, while Israeli security forces unhurt.
One suspected drug smuggler was killed and two others were maimed in a shootout with IDF troops along the Egyptian border, the Israeli army said Wednesday.
Upon being spotted, the group of suspects shot up the IDF and Border Police troops, who shot back in accordance with live-fire regulations, the army said.
None of the Israeli security forces were maimed in the exchange of fire.
There was no comment from Egyptian authorities.
The rugged desert border between Israel and Egypt is notorious as a drug smuggling route. Earlier this year, police released footage showing an attempt to smuggle around 100 kilograms (220 pounds) of drugs into Israel across the Egyptian border. The footage, captured in January 2018, showed several dozen smugglers congregating near the border fence while, unbeknownst to them, an Israel Border Police force lay in ambush nearby. The smugglers were eventually caught and arrested, and their drug haul was confiscated, police said.
The half-minute long video can be seen at the link, demonstrating why even a basic fence is helpful at the border. The Jerusalem Post adds that these events took place Tuesday night.

(PTI) fired off over two dozen tweets in English and Urdu late Tuesday, lambasting the press for criticism, saying it can be deemed "Anti-State".
"Freedom of Expression is beauty of Democracy. Expressing Enemy's Stance is Not Freedom of speech but treason against its people," read one tweet.
"Media houses & journalists must take care that in their quest for criticism on State, they intentionally or unintentionally do not end up propagating enemy's stance," read another, with the hashtag JournalismNotAgenda.
Pakistain routinely ranks among the world's most dangerous countries for media workers, and news hounds have frequently been detained, beaten and even killed for being critical of the government or military.
In recent years, the space for dissent has shrunk further, with the government announcing a crackdown on social networks and traditional media houses decrying pressure from authorities that they say has resulted in widespread self-censorship.

One of the attackers was killed and another was maimed, Aman said.

The Ottoman Turkish representative for advocacy group Reporters Without Borders has been acquitted in a national court, after facing charges of spreading terrorist propaganda.
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) representative Erol Onderoglu faced 14 years in jail. He was acquitted alongside author Ahmet Nesin and Human Rights Foundation of Turkey president Sebnem Korur Fincanci on Wednesday. They had faced similar allegations.
The three press freedom campaigners were accused of spreading terrorist propaganda and incitement to crime, in the Caglayan courthouse in Istanbul.
"I warmly thank all those who supported us during the trial," Onderoglu told the AFP news agency in a text message.
'THE FIGHT CONTINUES'
"The fight continues for all our colleagues unjustly on trial or imprisoned," he added. The three defendants had already served time in 2016 when they were initially arrested, and are now able to apply for financial compensation for that time spent in jail.
Onderoglu also faces another legal case in November, for supporting Ottoman Turkish academics, who had signed a letter asking for an end to the fighting between Ottoman Turkish armed forces, and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
Along with his two colleagues, Onderoglu was on trial for guest editing the Ozgur Gundem, a newspaper focusing on Kurdish events.
They had also campaigned to keep the publication afloat after the Ottoman Turkish government closed it in 2016. "The autopsy reveals that Suzan had been subjected to repeated rape since the afternoon of Monday (the 8th) until early Tuesday morning, only hours before her discovery. As a martyr, she is joined in heaven by thousands of Christian brothers, who died in the arena of barbarism," SOS Chrétien’s d’Orient added.
SOS Chrétiens d’Orient describes itself as a non-political NGO that works "in the heart of the secured areas of the Middle East. It’s young and dynamic members, work on a 24/7 basis the field supporting the Christians of the East, whether Orthodox or Catholic, providing concrete and humanitarian material aid."
ICC wrote that Suzan worked as a gardener and Arabic teacher. After her retirement, she was a volunteer at the Kneye Village Church "where she helped youth achieve their baccalaureate."

Claire Evans, ICC’s Regional Manager for the Middle East, said, "Suzan was a pillar in her community. Her untimely death and the manner of her murder is horrifying. Rule of law, justice, and accountability must be restored in Syria. Otherwise, we are witness to the slow, but fierce, extermination of Christianity from a country where it has existed for over 2,000 years."
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights wrote on its website that it "learned that the body of a citizen woman in her fifties was found on Tuesday, the 9th of July, 2019, and it was revealed later that she is a Christian woman... Her body was found with marks of torture on it and, according to forensic medicine, the woman had been tortured for about 9 hours before she was stoned to death by unidentified persons."
ICC noted that "It is widely reported among locals that Suzan’s attackers were members of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group, which maintains a strong presence in the Idlib governorate. al-Yaqoubiyeh is a Christian village, but most of the women have left because of violent aggression from the terrorists. Some estimate that only 18 women, including Suzan, were living in the village."

[DAWN] Sudan's protesters and ruling generals on Wednesday inked a power sharing deal that aims to install a civilian administration, a key demand of demonstrators since president Omar al-Bashir Head of the National Congress Party. He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself president-for-life. He has fallen out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it. was deposed three months ago.
The move loosens a deadlock that has gripped the country, following months of nationwide mass protests that began against Bashir but then continued after a military council deposed him in a palace coup on April 11.
The deputy chief of the military council General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo ‐ who initialled the deal on behalf of the generals on Wednesday ‐ told AFP the agreement was a "historic moment" for Sudan.
It has "opened a new and promising era of partnership between the armed forces, RSF (Rapid Support Forces) and leaders of the glorious Sudanese revolution," Dagalo said after he had put pen to paper.
Alongside his position as deputy of the military council, Dagalo heads the RSF, a feared paramilitary organization. Ibrahim al-Amin, a key protest leader, confirmed "today, we completed the political declaration".

They were accused of making "terror propaganda" on behalf of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) after guest-editing pro-Kurdish Ottoman Turkish newspaper Ozgur Gundem.
The three risked 14 years in jail.
The newspaper was raided and permanently shut down in August 2016, accused of links with the PKK which has waged an insurgency against the Ottoman Turkish state since 1984.
The three campaigners were detained for a short period in 2016, and can now apply for financial compensation for time spent in jail.
The case triggered international alarm over press freedom in Turkey with activists claiming the climate for media had deteriorated under President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. [THESMOKINGGUN] -A gun-toting Florida Man broke into the home of his wife’s lover and cut off the man’s penis with a pair of scissors, according to police who said that the intruder fled the residence with the severed organ.
The victim told cops that a neighbor, Alex Bonilla, 49, entered his mobile home in the town of Bell Sunday morning and threatened to kill him, according to a Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office arrest report.
Once inside, cops say, Bonilla warned the victim that he would kill him if he resisted. Bonilla then "took the Victim into his bedroom, tied him up, and forcefully cut off the Victim’s penis with a pair of scissors." Bonilla, cops added, "then fled the Victim’s residence with the Victim’s severed penis in his possession."
Investigators reported that there were two juveniles in the home (seen below) when Bonilla--armed with a 9mm handgun--burst in through an unlocked rear door.
According to the arrest report, Bonilla recently caught his wife and the victim having sex. Bonilla lives directly across the street from the victim.
Seen above, Bonilla, who works for a dairy, was charged with multiple felony charges for "completely severing" the victim’s sexual organ. Bonilla is being held in the Gilchrist County jail in lieu of $1.25 million bond.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The arrest report does not detail the man's condition or whether the severed penis was recovered.

"The lapis lazuli deposit will be a good source of income for the Taliban. The government should not remain silent," said Raees Khaliq, an MP.

[DAWN] At least one gunman killed the Ottoman Turkish vice-consul to Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region in an attack on Wednesday in the regional capital of Arbil, a police source told AFP.
"Three people, including the Ottoman Turkish vice consul, were killed in an armed attack targeting the consul and the consulate's employees in a restaurant in Arbil," the source said, adding the attackers had expeditiously departed at a goodly pace.
Witnesses in the city said checkpoints had been quickly set up inside and around the neighbourhood of Ainkawa, which hosts numerous restaurants and the Ottoman Turkish consulate.

In addition to Varto (Emrullah Dursun), the dear departed include PKK members Sinane Sor (Ali Aktash), Navdar Sinegir (Mikail Ozdemir), Serhat Shafak (Vehip Tekin) and Shiyar Farahinin (Celal Ozturk), ANF News another media outlet close to group detailed on Wednesday, citing the Solidarity Committee of the PKK. Party members often use a nom de guerre to obfuscate personal details.
ANF added that notifying the victims’ families has been underway since July 14. The reported message praised the sacrifices for the "struggle" and "the movement" for the Kurdish people resisting.

Following his release, he went to Qandil to fight, but began working in PKK's more diplomatic and political offices, resigning from a fighting role. The PKK hailed Varto as someone who has "struggled with great spirit."
Sor was born in 1959 in the Qosere area of Mardin province in southeastern Turkey. He joined the PKK at a young age. In the statement released by ANF, Sor was hailed as a "handpicked" guerilla of PKK founder Abdullah Ocalan who solved issues "with a strong moral force" and represented PKK's bully boy expertise.
He is described as a regional manager for Qandil.

[FOXNEWS] A Democratic candidate who was seeking election to the Mississippi House of Representatives, and who had just been served divorce papers, walked into the medical clinic where his estranged wife worked as a receptionist Tuesday and shot her to death before turning the gun on himself, officials said.
Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson said the shootings happened Tuesday at Williams Medical Clinic in Potts Camp after Carl Robinson received divorce papers.
"We found the shooter dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head," Dickerson told the Daily Journal newspaper. "He and his wife were in the process of a divorce. His wife was lying on the floor near his body."
Dickerson said Robinson, 43, shot 34-year-old Latoya Thompson before killing himself in what police are calling a murder-suicide, according to the Daily Journal. The sheriff says she died as emergency workers were trying to put her on a medical helicopter.
Witnesses told the Daily Journal they saw Robinson pacing around outside the clinic before going into the building. A .38-caliber Smith & Wesson pistol was recovered at the scene, Dickerson added, noting nobody else was hurt.
Prior to the shooting, Robinson had been gearing up for the Democratic primary on Aug. 6. He was seeking the District 5 seat in the Mississippi House of Representatives.
The couple lived in nearby Benton County, and a neighbor that spoke to FOX13 Memphis described Thompson as a "real nice girl" who was "friendly and would help you do anything."

Perhaps it was the rise in polling numbers, the massive fundraising haul, or both that made Warren feel confidently contemptuous enough to treat Defense Secretary nominee Mark Esper like a corruptocrat-in-waiting during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on his nomination on Tuesday. RTWT

The Gulf state announced on Friday that secret police arrested the men on charges of being members of a "terrorist" cell who had been sentenced to prison in Egypt.
Kuwait’s deputy foreign minister Khaled al-Jarallah told news hounds on Sunday the men were handed over to the Egyptian authorities.
"The deportation of the men appears to violate Kuwait’s obligations under international law," HRW said in a statement.
The New York-based rights group called on Kuwait to end further deportations to Egypt of anyone at risk of mistreatment.
