Afghanistan
Rand Paul Backs International Investigation of U.S. Military
[Wash Free Bacon] Rand Paul backed calls for an international investigation of the U.S. military after American forces inadvertently bombed an Afghan hospital over the weekend.

The hospital was "mistakenly struck" during an American air strike on Saturday, killing 22, according to the U.S. commander in Afghanistan.

The U.S. and Afghan militaries have already launched their own investigations into the incident, but activist groups are calling for a separate probe by an "independent international body."

Paul said he had no problem with such an investigation during an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday.

"You're a physician, you're a doctor," said Blitzer. "Do you agree with the executive director of Doctors Without Borders, that in addition to the U.S. investigation, the NATO investigation, the Afghan investigation, there should also be an impartial outside international investigation?"

"Yeah, I don't mind an outside international investigation," said Paul.
Yea, and 'I don't mind' if you go straight to bloody HELL !

Airstrikes Taking A Toll On Taliban
[Tolo News] Airstrikes carried out by the Afghan Air Force are starting to take a toll on murderous Moslem numbers but this is pushing the Taliban into hiding.

TOLOnews news hound Wali Arian, who joined the crew in one helicopter during an Arclight airstrike, says security forces say the Taliban is scared of such aerial attacks.

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
turbans are hiding out in civilian houses in a bid to escape such assaults.

One area in particular is that of Khan Abad district in Kunduz province where turbans are holed up in civilian homes.

Taliban Kills 16 Members Of One Kunduz Family
[Tolo News] Kunduz residents have spoken out about their terrifying ordeal at the hands of the Taliban last week, with one resident telling how he lost 16 family members to snuffies in just one incident.

Rahim Gul told TOLOnews news hound Wali Arian that "the Taliban has committed unforgivable crimes".

The clearly emotional man said 16 members of his family were killed in a rocket attack.

"The Taliban confiscated 40 hectares of my land and burned our house down. We left and went to another house but again the Taliban hit our house - with a rocket. Some of my children are now seriously maimed and the others are dead," he said.

Another resident, who escaped the city after last Monday's siege, has since returned to the city to check on his house. He said his son was also killed by the Taliban. He said: "The Taliban was shooting people in public."

"The Taliban killed two people in front of my eyes. One of them was carrying a maimed person," he said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the hanging, Butch continued with his last words, trying not to repeat himself too often......
Dawlat Waziri, deputy front man for the ministry of defense, said on Tuesday that military forces are providing health care services to the sick and injured in Kunduz city.

Ministery of Interior front man Sediq Sediqqi said that clearance operations continue and that eight snuffies were killed on Tuesday during festivities with security forces.

However officials have still not revealed casualty figures following nine days of fighting in the city.

The Taliban attacked the Afghan strategic town of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan last Monday. The siege lasted six days until Afghan cops managed to wrest the city back for the Death Eaters.

But at least 6,000 people have been left homeless after fleeing the city last week, said local officials.

The majority of those who left the city sought refuge in Badakhshan, Kabul

, Takhar and Baghlan provinces, officials said.

Reacting to the fall of Kunduz, rights groups on Sunday accused snuffies of committing major crimes during the siege and called for the perpetrators behind the attack to be brought to justice.

Sporadic clashes still erupt between security forces and Taliban in Kundoz city
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] As security forces are conducting clearance operation in the capital of northern Kundoz province after retaking it from Taliban, reports suggest that sporadic festivities still erupt in the city.

Hamdullah Danishi, acting governor of Kundoz said on Tuesday that Taliban have adopted new tactics.

He said now they come on cycle of violences, shoot on security forces and their checkpoints and run away.

Danishi believes Taliban want to create an environment of dread among the residents of the city.

Taliban occupied several areas of Kundoz city on the evening of Monday last week after severe festivities with security forces.

They had been controlling the seized areas for about two days before Security forces launched a large-scale operation to end their siege on those areas.

Ministry of Defense said that hundreds of Taliban were killed and maimed in the operation.

But others took cover in nearby residents from where they are once again attacking security forces.

Reports suggest that Taliban carried out some of the attacks in military suits.

ISIS claims responsibility for explosions in Yemen that killed 22

grabbed credit for deadly attacks in two major cities Tuesday that left at least 22 people dead, according to reports.

Suicide boom-mobileings targeting exiled Yemeni officials and the Saudi and Emirati troops backing their efforts to retake the country killed at least 15 people Tuesday in the port city of Aden, authorities said. The new Islamic State affiliate grabbed credit for the assault, which officials earlier blamed on Yemen's Iranian catspaws, known as Houthis.

In the country's capital, Sanaa, a bomb went kaboom! near a mosque, killing seven people and wounding three, Yemen's Houthi-controlled state news agency reported.

The Islamic State grabbed credit for that attack, according to Rooters.

The early morning attack in Aden took place at the Al Qasr Hotel & Resort, a large compound that Yemeni officials use as a headquarters. A blast struck the front of the 239-room hotel along the Arabian Sea, west of the port city's downtown, sending thick black smoke rising over it for hours as sirens wailed.

Rajeh Badi, a front man for Yemen's exiled government, said all government ministers and the prime minister were safe and unhurt.

Two other attacks followed on locations used by troops from the United Arab Emirates, which has the most overt presence among coalition forces inside Yemen. Those assaults hit the palace of Sheikh Fareed Al Awlaqi, which Emirati troops and the Emirati Red Islamic Thingy had been using, as well as a nearby coalition military camp, the state-owned The National newspaper of Abu Dhabi reported.

Car Bombs in Yemen Hit Aden Hotel and Building Used by Persian Gulf Troops
NYT (Sorry) - AL MUKALLA, Yemen ‐ The Islamic State extremist group claimed responsibility for a series of bombings in Yemen's two largest cities on Tuesday that killed at least 25 people, including troops from the UAE who are fighting Yemeni rebels.

The Qasr Hotel in Aden serves as headquarters for Yemen's internationally recognized government. According to a Yemeni government official, the buildings were struck by two unspecified missiles. However, an Arab Coalition military official said that the explosions were caused by two suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (SVBIED).
Why is ISIL attacking the forces that are attacking its enemy Iran? Mad dogs me-thinking.

Five arrested in western Sydney over terrorist attack outside police HQ
Follow up to this report of a few days ago.
[ABC.net.au] Three of four males arrested on Wednesday morning over last week's fatal terrorist attack at Parramatta police headquarters were targeted in Australia's biggest counter-terrorism raids a year ago.

Police arrested four males aged between 16 and 22 in counter-terror raids across western Sydney.

A fifth person, a 24-year-old man from Merrylands, was also arrested but was not detained as part of the joint counter-terror raids operation.

He was arrested as a result of an outstanding warrant for identity fraud and other fraud matters.

Police allege the four men arrested in the counter-terrorism operation are directly linked to the fatal shooting of police accountant Curtis Cheng outside the Parramatta police HQ last Friday.

Eighteen-year-old Raban Alou was arrested at Lane Street, Wentworthville, the same home where his older brother Kawa was arrested in sweeping raids in September last year and released without charge.

Police also arrested a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons and who was in the same year at Arthur Phillip High School as Farhad Jabar, the 15-year-old who shot Mr Cheng.

At Marsfield, police arrested another target of the September 2014 raids, 22-year-old Mustafa Dirani, a former student of Arthur Phillip High.

The 16-year-old boy and two 22-year-old men who were arrested have since been released, while the 18-year-old remained in custody overnight.

Police also returned to the Guildford home of Omarjan Azari, who is in jail on a charge of conspiracy to murder after being arrested in last year's raids.

The 2014 raids were sparked by a phone call to Azari in which Australia's most senior Islamic State lieutenant, Mohammad Ali Baryalei, allegedly directed him to kill a random member of the public.

Members of the group who were raided in 2014 and Baryalei, who has since been killed in Syria, were known to congregate at the Parramatta mosque where Farhad spent several hours before he carried out last Friday's attack.

The 15-year-old was shot and killed by police at the scene of the shooting.

15YO GUNMAN 'DID NOT ACT ALONE'
Police are investigating where the gun came from and whether one of the four men arrested on Wednesday morning supplied it to the gunman.

NSW Police Force Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn it was unclear whether or not the four arrested inspired the terrorist attack on Parramatta Police HQ.

"We have certain suspicions and we are clearly going to have to sift through all of this over the next couple of days," she said.

She said the motivation of the 15-year-old was still unknown but police definitely had the suspicion he did not act alone.

"What we are investigating is a terrorism offence so what we would suggest and we suspect is that there was some influence — whether it was ideologically, religious or politically motivated — that determined and influenced the 15-year-old to go and commit this horrendous act of violence," she said.

But Ms Burn said the teen gunman had "not been a target of ours and is not somebody we would have assessed as a threat".

Acting Deputy Commissioner Neil Gaughan told reporters no terrorist organisation had claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, New South Wales Premier Mike Baird said "there's no doubt" Sydney had a problem with Islamic radicalisation.

"Importantly though, this is a minority. It is something that will be dealt with," he said.

"It will be dealt with on the basis of the Muslim community [and] it'll be done more broadly with the whole community."

Three arrested plus gunman went to same school

Mr Baird said he was concerned about religious radicalisation in the state's schools, but insisted the problem was not widespread.

Two of the males arrested on Wednesday, along with a teenager charged with threatening police on Tuesday, and the teenage gunman from the Parramatta attack all went to Arthur Phillip High School.

Mr Baird said he had asked the Education Department to accelerate the work it was doing to combat radicalisation among school students, but he downplayed the extent of the problem.

The Grand Turk
Turkey-PKK clashes erupt in Diyarbakir
[Rudaw] At least four civilians were reportedly killed after festivities resumed between the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the Turkish army in Diyarbakir, the most populous Kurdish city in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
, locals told Rudaw.

Following the lift of a curfew on vehicles in the township of Nusaybin in the Merdin province, the Turkish army declared a new military curfew in the town of Bismil in Diyarbakir earlier Tuesday. After that, in a military campaign by the Turkish army in the town, four non-combatants were killed.

"At around 12:30 pm, the Turkish army declared a curfew on vehicles in the township of Bismil and its three neighborhoods were blockaded by Turkish forces. Following that, festivities started between the Turkish army and PKK cells in the area," locals said.

The aftermath of festivities between the Turkish army and PKK guerrillas resulted in the death of four civilians in nearby areas caught between gunfire from the two factions. Locals told Rudaw that the identities of the slain are unknown, and they were transferred to the town's hospital morgue.

No casualty figures for the Turkish army or the PKK have been announced yet by either party.

Iraq
Iraqi forces retake areas around Ramadi
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iraqi forces have retaken several areas north and west of Ramadi as efforts to close in on the Anbar picturesque provincial capital seized by ISIS gunnies in May intensify, officials said Wednesday.

An operation involving 2,000 troops backed by air strikes from the U.S.-led coalition led to the recapture of several neighborhoods from the ISIS.

A brigadier general from the Anbar operations command said those included Zankura, Albu Jleib, Al-Adnaniyah and parts of Albu Risha and an area known as Kilometre 5.

"The Iraqi security forces also took control of the main road west of Ramadi and they are now using it to support the forces positioned to liberate Ramadi," Adhal Fahdawi, a member of the provincial council, told AFP.

According to the U.S.-led coalition's daily tally of air strikes in Iraq and Syria, a total of 27 strikes have been conducted in the Ramadi area since the start of October.

"The coalition's air support has played a big part in this progress," Fahdawi said. "If operations continue at this pace, I expect the liberation of Ramadi to be possible by the end of the month."

Ahmed al-Assadi, front man for the Hashed al-Shaabi paramilitary organization also involved in the operation, even predicted it would happen "in the next few days".

Iraqi officials, including Assadi and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, had said immediately after ISIS fighters blitzed the security forces out of Ramadi in mid-May that a reconquest would be a matter of days.

Besieged Peshmerga fights off ISIS for 7 hours
[Rudaw] SAID SADIQ, Kurdistan Region-- A Peshmerga fighter has grown famous in the Kurdistan region after mobile videos went viral on social media sites showing the young man single-handedly fighting off ISIS murderous Moslems for seven hours.

The Kurdish fighter, Pola Osman, was later rescued by a group of Peshmerga in east Kirkuk province. He had refused to leave a maimed fellow Peshmerga despite being surrounded by krazed killers.

"There were many of them there. But they didn't come all at once. They came in groups of two and three and four," Pola said of the ISIS murderous Moslems who shelled the house he was positioned in with artillery and grenades.

The fighting was part of last week's massive Peshmerga campaign in western Kirkuk province.

"I found a way to confront them: Jumping from one place to another and changing positions and firing at the same time. So they thought I wasn't alone. I fired at them and deterred them not to come closer."

Pola said his maimed comrade asked him not to leave him to the krazed killers, so he stayed.

"Well, it was out of the question for me to abandon him," Pola said.

Soon Pola's brother and a group of Peshmerga arrived to his rescue, but his maimed comrade passed away. The rescuers brought Pola home as well as the body of the fallen Peshmerga.

Guns kill people
A Jewish Israeli man is in stable condition after being stabbed in the back of his neck by a knife-wielding female terrorist, whom he was able to shoot, near Jerusalem's Lion's Gate in the Old City on Wednesday morning.

It is the second stabbing attack at the historic site, located in the Arab Quarter's Hagai Street, in five days.

According to Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, CCTV surveillance footage showed the unidentified 18-year-old woman following the 35-year-old man as he entered the Old City via Damascus gate at approximately 10:30 a.m.

"She closely followed him, and when she had the opportunity, the footage shows her stabbing him in the neck from behind," said Rosenfeld. "He was armed, and was able to draw his weapon and shoot the female terrorist at close range."

Turbulent day as Palestinian storm continues
[Ynet] Tensions around the country remain on knife's edge, with violence erupting in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Jaffa. About 50 Paleostinians were maimed, as well as several Israelis, including a baby girl.

Tensions remained on a knife's edge Tuesday as violent festivities maimed at least 50 Paleostinians, 3 IDF soldiers, 3 coppers, and a baby girl.

Three coppers were lightly maimed by rocks thrown Tuesday night by masked Paleostinians during festivities that erupted in Israel's centrally-located city of Jaffa, just kilometers south of Tel Aviv.

The violence came as an Arab protest against Israeli policy on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem got out of control and two of the rioters were jugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
. Police said the protest was held without the proper licenses.

A bus and vehicle were also damaged by the rock throwers. It is the first time festivities have reached central Israel since a wave of violence began recently in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The latter's Shuafat neighborhood was the scene of particularly dramatic violence, near the mourning tent put up by the family of Fadi Aloun, who stabbed 15-year-old Moshe Malka overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

Jerusalem police detectives came to the area in order to arrest a stone-thrower, and were immediately surrounded by locals, who tried to prevent them from executing the arrest. A border police force that was close by was called in, and assisted the officers with the arrest.

Violence also erupted Tuesday at the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Jerusalem, when Paleostinians threw stones at police and border police forces. One border police soldier was lightly maimed by a stone thrown by Paleostinians.

Incidents of stone-throwing at police also occurred Tuesday afternoon at the Beit Hanina neighborhood in northern East Jerusalem. They were dispersed after a short time and no one was hurt.

In a seperate incident, dozens of Paleostinian teenagers and children threw stones and Molotov cocktails from the Jilazoun area in the West Bank towards the settlement of Beit El, and at nearby vehicles. An IDF soldier arrested one of them.

A baby girl was lightly maimed when the vehicle she was in was hit by a stone near the settlement Eli in the West Bank. She was treated at the scene.

Severe violence erupted near the Israeli Civil Administration building in the Mateh Binyamin regional Council and near Ma'ale Labone.

Coordination with Paleostinian security forces is still in effect, but the situation is making work difficult. The IDF, meanwhile, also has to contend with Jewish rioters, whom security forces have dubbed as showing similar behavioral patterns to Paleostinian rioters, such as stone-throwing and forcing drivers out of their cars.

Twelve Jewish Israelis were arrested due to these activities.

The Jerusalem Police Department also summoned several merchants and passers by who were in the area during the stabbing attack in which Aharon Bennett and Rabbi Nahmia Lavi were murdered, and Bennett's wife, Adele, and their son were maimed.

Adele said that not only did those present not help her, they cursed her and spat at her while the murderer's knife was still in her body. These individuals were identified via security camera footage and police said they would be investigated for failing to prevent a crime. The possibility of ordering the closing of the businesses belonging to the merchants among the suspects is also being examined.

Abu Sayyaf fruit bombing attempt foiled
[Inquirer] The Philippine military on Monday night foiled a bomb attempt in Jolo, Sulu, after soldiers discovered an explosive device left hidden in some fruit by the roadside. Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado said the bomb attempt was believed to be the work of the Abu Sayyaf, possibly targeting a nearby military camp.

Two men on a motorcycle were seen leaving the fruit by the roadside, by a Marine checkpoint. A soldier saw the pair aboard the motorcycle stopping about 20 meters before the checkpoint. The men appeared to be experiencing engine trouble, after which one of the men left the bunch of fruit by the side of the road. Arrojado said the men then pushed their motorcycle through the checkpoint.

Troops from the checkpoints checked out the abandoned fruit, which appeared to have electric wires mixed in. Soldiers cordoned off the area and called for assistance from explosives and ordnance units.

The IED consisted of 60 mm mortar ammunition, a small plastic box containing two kilos of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil, three 9-volt batteries, and a cell phone trigger.

ISIS using chemical artillery shells
Struck from afar by a blister-agent shell, the family would suffer from an agonizing form of violence that since the 1990s, when the Convention on Chemical Weapons took force in much of the world, had seemed to fade into the past, only to be revived by the Islamic State.

Since the spring, the group has used two types of chemical weapons in Iraq and Syria multiple times, according to international arms analysts, victims, local activists and Western officials, joining Syria's government as a party in the conflict that has used chemical weapons.

The weapons have included improvised bombs containing chlorine, a toxic industrial chemical that Sunni militants in Iraq have crudely weaponized in vehicle and roadside bombs for roughly a decade, and artillery or mortar projectiles containing a blister agent that appeared this summer after being fired from Islamic State battlefield positions.

These projectiles have delivered sulfur mustard, an internationally banned chemical warfare agent, according to American officials familiar with the analysis of soil samples, ordnance and victims' clothing collected after several attacks. Two American officials said items analyzed from the Aug. 21 attack on Marea were among those that confirmed the agent's use.
Blister agents are fairly easy to make, but putting them in an artillery shell and keeping everything intact during firing and flight and making sure the dispersal on impact works is a fairly complicated process. My first question where did this knowledge come from and are they making the shells on site or are they being trucked in? My first instinct to both is yes and Iran.

#4  Mustard gas (see blister agent above) is easy for pretty much anyone with a basic understanding of chemistry. Deploying it through artillery shells is complicated and requires a mechanical engineer. Not impossible for ISIS to make on their own, but I bet an outside force is supplying shells and/or knowledge on how to make them.

Islamic State Published Address of Navy SEAL Who Killed Osama Bin Laden
[Wash Free Bacon] A British supporter of the Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIL or ISIS) published the name and address of the Navy SEAL who killed Osama bin Laden, demanding that American extremists kill him.
Shoulda kept his pie hole shut and avoided the talks. "If you're going to be stupid, you've got to be tough!"
Mirror Online has been monitoring jihadi chat on social media and has spotted several people linking to a text file containing instructions on how to find Robert O'Neill, who claimed to have killed the al Qaeda chief. This information was shared by a British extremist claiming to be "Mrs Terror" Sally Jones, who dubbed O'Neill a "number one target" and called for his immediate death. The address is now being shared on social media along with a sinister hashtag.

"I leave this info of Robert O'Neill for my brothers in America and al Qaeda in the U.S, as a number one target to eventually hunt down and kill," the British IS supporter wrote online.

She accused O'Neill of "traveling around America putting on seminars boasting about killing Sheikh Osama."

Since, the Navy SEAL's personal information has been shared by dozens of extremists online though social media firms and the website on which it was originally posted have attempted to censor the address.

The British extremist told the Mirror, "This is what he gets for not shutting his mouth about the operation."

"There is more to come," she added.

Meanwhile, Americans have rallied behind O'Neill, dubbing him a hero.
