China-Japan-Koreas
Japan ramping up defense spending
[Shoebat.com] The Japanese government is planning on creating the largest defense budget for its military since World War Two. The budget will be 5.17 trillion yen ($51.7 billion) for the 2017 fiscal year. It will be done, not just to intimidate China, but also to show the world that Japan still has the capabilities to be a very dangerous country. The plan includes upgrading the PAC-3 missile defense system, so that it can launch missiles at a farther distance, more than 30 km (19 miles), according to Reuters.

The Japanese will also be spending on the production of the Block IIA version of the Standard Missile-3 system, which it has been developing in conjunction with the United States, supposedly for the purpose of intercepting and shooting down missiles at higher altitudes. Japan also wants to create "a new submarine model with advanced detection capabilities." Japan, moreover, desires to and plans on purchasing "an upgraded version of the F-35 stealth fighter, made by Lockheed Martin Corp." Japan is also currently developing its own fighter jet, the F-2, which will be designed "to conduct ground-strike and close-air support missions" and "to maintain air defense capability and to ensure air superiority surrounding Japan." I find it concerning that the Japanese are interested in ground striking. Who do they want to strike? Who do they want to bomb? The last time Japan was involved in ariel striking, they bombed the US, China and other Asian lands.

A Clinton Presidency Would Be the Political Equivalent of an Extinction Level Event
[AmericanThinker] Forget the arrogance and corruption -- $153 million in Clinton family speaking fees from 2001, mainly bribes during her State Department years. Forget the lies, the lies about lies, and the perjury. Forget the security breaches. Forget enabling America’s most prominent sexual predator. Forget the trail of bodies stretching from Little Rock to Benghazi. Forget every scandal from Whitewater to deleted e-mails. Forget all of it.

Instead, focus on coming attractions -- what a Clinton presidency would mean for America. It would be the political equivalent of an extinction level event. Obama began the process of transforming America. Hillary will finish it -- and us too.
However, if you elect Trump, sophisticated Europeans will make fun of you --- just like they did when you elected Reagan.

#1  Clinton will maintain the pretense of fighting ISIS while importing the poison. She’s called for increasing the number of Syrian refugees by 500% -- that’s on top of the 100,000 immigrants from the Middle East (overwhelmingly Muslim) admitted each year. The FBI and Homeland Security will be told not to do or say anything that might offend the jihad community.

The signals aren’t even subtle -- Huma Abedin with her family’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, Sharia advocate Khizr Kahn baiting Trump at the Democratic National Convention, and (in a Rod Serling-esque moment) the father of Orlando mass murderer Omar Mateen seated behind the candidate at a Florida rally, telling an interviewer Hillary is “good for America” -- i.e., good for the coming Caliphate.

All according to the plan.

#3  The bad news about Hills is that she can be bought. That's also the good news. (She reminds me exactly of former governor Edwin Edwards, except much uglier.) So the issue boils down to whether the American taxpayer can make larger donations to the Clinton Foundation than the Chinese, Putin, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Mad Mullahs, etc.

#5  Think California, which went from reliably red to true blue in a generation.

I've been telling you people this for years. It is not the fault of the people who lived here in the 1960's, 1970's or 1980's. But by the 1990's the transformation was complete. I know. I was here watching helplessly as it happened. Coming to a state near you.

#6  I love California but the pension crisis will destroy this state and nobody is doing anything about it. It is easy to live the blue model lifestyle when you don't pay your bills.

#7  Why would anyone obey the law under a Clinton presidency? Why would anyone want to be in the military or follow Clinton as the commander-In-Chief? It would be a cruel joke. You certainly couldn't believe anything she said. You couldn't trust her to have your back if things went to hell. She wouldn't take the 3:00 a.m. call unless there was some money it for her; she didn't things went to $hit at Benghazi.

#8  Well, it could very well help end the theatrical facade of the old republic and give even the rubes the awareness that its an oligarchy. Maybe they'll quit giving up their sons to die to maintain its power then.

Trump on immigration: 'We are going to obey the existing laws'
[The Hill] Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Monday attempted to clarify his position on immigration, suggesting he would use similar tactics as President Obama and former President George W. Bush.

"We are going to obey the existing laws. Now, the existing laws are very strong. The existing laws, the first thing we are going to do if and when I win, is we are going to get rid of all of the bad ones," Trump said Monday on "The O'Reilly Factor."

"We have gang members. We have killers. We have a lot of bad people that have to get out of this country. We are going to get them out. And the police know who they are."

Trump said these people are known to law enforcement, alleging that they go around "killing people and hurting people."

"And they are going to be out of this country so fast your head will spin. We have existing laws that will allow you to do that as far as everybody else, we are going to go through the process," Trump said.

"What people don't know is that Obama got tremendous numbers of people out of the country. Bush, the same thing. Lots of people were brought out of the country with the existing laws. Well, I'm going to do the same thing and I just said that."

But the GOP nominee said he wanted to do this in a "humane manner."

#4  Obeying the current laws would be a great start, first call them what they are - illegal aliens - again, when an illegal commits a crime - kick them out immediately after their sentence is served, try to vote - kick them out and send them back to Mexico to vote, ask for a public hand out - agree that Mexico should give them one and send them back... I would be cool with all of the above.

#7  Tactically it is a smart move. Court the Latino vote that has been confused by the twisting of his words. Existing law says send illegals back which is what his policy has been. Build a wall to keep them out in the first place.

But really hammer anyone that employs illegals and you'll find they self-deport.

Then work on streamlining the proper immigration process and setting quotas from countries we want to see more of, and less from countries that just send trouble.

#8  This part is interesting:

"Trump struck a starkly different tone during an interview with Bill O’Reilly of Fox News that aired on Monday night. Trump said he would separate the country’s undocumented immigrants into two groups: The “bad ones” who would be kicked out of the country as soon as he takes office and “everybody else” who would go through the same process that the Obama Administration is currently using."

India-Pakistan
Registering madressahs
[DAWN] MORE than two years after its formulation, the National Action Plan took its first and most credible step towards registering and regulating religious seminaries in Sindh when the Madressah Registration Bill 2016 received cabinet approval. It now moves to the Assembly where its passage is almost assured since the provincial legislature is dominated by political parties that have virtually no roots in the religious establishment. Registering the seminaries was an essential part of the National Action Plan, and the task met its stiffest resistance in Punjab, where the authorities were the last to submit a detailed count of the number of seminaries operating in the province, as well as geo-mapping the locations of all the establishments.

Working under the ambit of the Apex Committee, Sindh completed these tasks faster than anybody else. Where other provinces argued that regulating seminaries -- their finances, syllabi and other activities -- was largely a federal matter, Sindh is demonstrating how a provincial mandate can be brought to bear on the matter. In Punjab, the opposition to any heightened surveillance of seminaries was led by the Wafaqul Madaris al Arabia, a federal body. But in Sindh this body has a much smaller presence. Instead, the opposition is coming from political parties, the JUI-F more specifically, whose leadership is threatening the state with street protests in the event the bill is passed into law.

The political challenge should be taken seriously since the JUI-F has considerable street power, even if it cannot translate that into representation in the legislature. But just like the opposition from the Wafaq in the case of Punjab, the substance of the opposition is without foundation. Only a few seminaries can be said to be involved in myrmidon activities but a strong and continuous effort is required to keep a check on these few. During the geo-mapping exercise in Sindh, out of a total of 9,590 seminaries, 167 were found to be built illegally, at least 48 were identified by intelligence agencies for their links to myrmidons, and more than 3,000 were not registered with any government department, according to police figures given at the time. Given the fact that at least a few of them have been found to have links with myrmidon groups, and many have funds from overseas flowing into their coffers, it is necessary to bring their activities within view of the state. Monitoring of syllabi and teachers’ credentials can be left to the federal government, but provincial governments clearly have a role in this matter. Contrary to its image as a floundering enterprise, the Sindh government is leading the way in this effort, perhaps because the political stars are best aligned for the job in the province. Nevertheless, safe passage of the bill will establish that centre-province issues need not be the obstacle they have been presented to be in the past.

Terror Networks
Just a bit about Huma Abedin's Mooslim World League from Joe Klein
[Front Page] The 28 classified pages of the “Congressional Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001” (“Report”) have been finally de-classified and released, with some redactions, to the public. The material in these pages points to evidence of connections between Saudi individuals and groups affiliated in some way with the Saudi government or its funded entities and terrorist organizations. Individuals named in the Report include Omar Al-Bayoumi, Osama Bassnan, Shakyh al-Thumiary, Saleh Hussayen and Osama Bin Laden’s half-brother Abdullah Bin Laden. The Report also mentions groups such as the World Arab Muslim Youth Association (WAMY), based in Saudi Arabia, which the FBI believes is ‘closely associated with funding and financing of international terrorist activities.”

The information in the Report details the activities of these Saudi individuals and related groups, including in the United States. There is a network of links to Saudi government entities, Saudi-funded front groups espousing radical Islam and jihad on the Wahhabist model, and terrorist organizations or individuals. A study of organizations in this network, with the Saudi government agencies or front groups at its hub, is very instructive in itself. But it reveals something else, highly relevant to this year’s presidential election. There are direct links of Islamic organizations in the network to those to which Hillary Clinton’s top aide and confidante Huma Abedin has belonged. To be clear, Huma Abedin is not named in the Report. However, her associations with groups linked to what is referenced in the Report is highly troubling, to say the least.

The Muslim Student Association was founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood. It spreads radical Islamist propaganda. FrontPage Magazine has documented the MSA’s indoctrination activities on U.S. campuses in an essay entitled “The Muslim Students Association and the Jihad Network.” The MSA has had close ties with the Muslim World League (MWL), an organization with ties to jihadist terrorist groups, including Hamas and al Qaeda. MWL was founded by members of the Saudi government. The MSA also has close ties with WAMY, one of the organizations mentioned specifically in the Report and which is the youth wing of the Muslim World League. The Report referenced the FBI’s account of the connections of Osama bin Laden’s half-brother, Abdullah Bin Laden, to terrorist organizations. Mentioned specifically was the fact that he was “the President and Director of the World Arab Muslim Youth Association (WAMY) and the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Science in America.”

A cable released by WikiLeaks under then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s name stated that, according to intelligence, the Muslim World League and the World Assembly of Muslim Youth “continue to send money overseas and, at times, fund extremism overseas.”

#2  "Abdullah [bin Laden], who lived with his brother Omar at the time in Falls Church, a town just outside Washington, was the US director of WAMY, whose offices were in a basement nearby.
But the FBI files were closed in 1996 apparently before any conclusions could be reached on either the Bin Laden brothers or the organisation itself. High-placed intelligence sources in Washington told the Guardian this week: "There were always constraints on investigating the Saudis". The Guardian 2001.

Daily News' Wildly Dishonest Story About The Crown Heights Pogrom
Daniel Greenfield

The New York Daily News is best known these days for its desperate trolling stories and covers trying to make some headway on Twitter. Their piece on the 25th anniversary of the Crown Heights Pogrom in which the Dinkins administration's tolerance for racist black activism led to sustained racist attacks on the Jewish community in Crown Heights is more like old-fashioned media sleaziness.

The opening frame is the Cato family. The implicit worldview here is that of the anti-Semitic rioters. And the rest of the story reeks of the same dishonesty.

Here's how the disturbingly biased piece by the Daily News' Rich Shapiro and Ginger Adams Otis describes the racist mob attacks on the Jewish parts of the area.
