#1  Yet, as he had started to ascend towards the light of the Heavens, devilish entities, or Jinns he called them, appeared and led him to the fiery pits of Hell. There he had to relive all the pain he had inflicted upon others and every death he had caused throughout his entire life. He even had to relive the decapitations of his victims through their own eyes.

“Then Allah, or God, spoke unto him and told him that he had failed miserably as a human soul, that he would be banned from the Gates of Heaven if he chose to die, but that if he chose to live again, he would have another chance to repent of his sins and walk along God’s path once again”

Somali pirates release four captives held since 2011
[Bangkok Post] Four Thai fishermen held hostage by Somali pirates for nearly five years have been released. Omar Sheikh Ali, an official in Somalia's central Galmudug administration, said, "We collected the four Thai men from a remote area."

The four fishermen were among 24 crew members seized in April 2010 when pirates hijacked their Taiwan-flagged fishing vessel. Their nearly five-year captivity is the longest suffered by any victims of Somali piracy.

Ali said the men were finally able to contact family members soon after their release on Wednesday. He said, "They called their families by phone and cried and cried and cried."

Sources said a $150,000 ransom was paid but the information could not be independently verified. Mohamed Abdi, who was close to the negotiations, said, "The pirates were fed up of feeding and taking care of the hostages, they had borrowed huge sums of money."

After its capture the FV Prantalay was used as a pirate mother ship from which to launch attacks before it capsized in July 2011. Of the original 24 crew members, six died from sickness during their captivity.

Libya Warns of more Air Strikes with Egypt against IS
[AnNahar] Libya's internationally recognized premier threatened new air strikes with Egypt against the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group in his country, warning Friday that the jihadists were poised to widen their presence there.

Abdullah al-Thani was referring to February 16 air strikes on the IS stronghold of Derna after the group released a video showing the beheading of 21 Coptic Christians, mostly Egyptians.

Thani was speaking to journalists after meeting Egyptian officials to discuss the security situation in Libya, where IS has recently gained a foothold among the many forces vying for control of the oil-rich North African nation.

Following this month's air strikes, in which Libyan forces also took part, Cairo called for international intervention against IS but that appeal was met with reticence by world powers.

But Thani on Friday made it clear that his government and Egypt would act on their own if need be, and reiterated a call for his government to be supplied with arms.

"Any time there is a danger and a threat, there will be air strikes, in complete coordination between Egypt and Libya," he said.

Asked if that meant Egyptian warplanes would take part, he said: "Of course I am speaking of Egyptian raids."

Using an Arabic acronym for IS, he said "Daesh is well-established in the region of Sirte and does not hide its presence in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
. If troops are not provided with the weapons they need, the group will deploy throughout Libya."

Last week, Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Dairi appealed to the U.N. Security Council to lift an arms embargo on Libya to allow its military to fight jihadists.

He emphasized that he was not seeking international military intervention, but that there was no time to lose to equip the army to confront the emboldened bad boys.

Libya has descended into chaos since the 2011 NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
-backed revolt that ousted dictator Muammar Qadaffy
...Proof that a madman with money will be politely received for at least 42 years until his people get tired of him and kill him...
Thani's government was forced to flee to the country's east in June after militias, among them Islamists, seized Tripoli and other main cities.

Some militias have pledged allegiance to IS, but the main ones, including the Islamist-backed Fajr Libya coalition that backs a rival government in Tripoli and has been involved in the peace talks, have not done so.

Algerian Intermediaries Table Draft Peace Deal for Mali
[AnNahar] Algerian mediators hosting peace talks between the Mali government and forces of Evil have produced a draft agreement transferring a raft of powers from Bamako to the country's restive north.

Ethnic divisions run deep in the west African nation's northern desert, the cradle of a Tuareg separatist movement which has spawned several rebellions since the 1960s.

Algeria and the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
are leading mediation talks in Algiers between ministers and six armed rebel groups amid a recent uptick in violence that threatened to jeopardize the grinding of the peace processor.

The 30-page "Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation in Mali from the Algiers Process", seen by Agence La Belle France-Presse on Friday, calls for "reconstruction of the country's national unity" in a manner that "respects its territorial integrity and takes account of its ethnic and cultural diversity."

The text was greeted with enthusiasm by the government, which called for it to be the basis of quick resolution to the talks, but has so far had a lukewarm reception from the anti-Bamako bad boys.

The draft deal proposes the creation of powerful elected regional assemblies led by a directly-elected president, as well as "greater representation of the northern populations in national institutions."

From 2018 the government will set up a "mechanism to transfer 30 percent of budget revenues from the state to local authorities... with particular attention to the North", according to the document.

It envisages an internationally-funded Northern Development Zone to raise living standards to the levels enjoyed by the inhabitants of the rest of the country within 10-15 years.

The document refers to "Azawad" -- the local name for a swathe of disputed territory the size of Texas -- as "a socio-cultural reality... shared by different populations of northern Mali."

- 'Balanced document' -
The draft sets out plans for a national conference bringing all sides together within two years of the signing of a "final and comprehensive peace agreement."

That meeting will aim to conduct "a thorough debate between the components of the Malian nation on the root causes of the conflict" in order to achieve a "charter for peace, unity and national reconciliation."

Ministers have been negotiating with the gangs in a fifth round of talks that started on February 16 to bring a lasting peace to northern Mali, which remains unstable despite French-led military intervention against Salafist tough guys launched in 2013.

The bad boy organizations are dominated by Tuareg and Arabs, however, and no jihadist group has been invited to the dialogue.

"We commend the quality of the draft agreement which, in our view, is a balanced document," Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop said in a statement to news hounds in Algiers.

He said he was pleased there was no suggestion of moving towards federalism or autonomy for the north, noting that the document preserved the territorial integrity and "secular and republican nature" of Mali.

The pro-government bad boy groups hailed a "balanced document" that they were happy to sign.

"People will be able to take charge of their own affairs, map out their own destiny without constraint," a front man told AFP.

But Mohammed Ousmane Mouhamedoun, a front man for the rebel side of the gangs, said they had yet to decide whether to adopt the draft.

"We are listening to the comments of the intermediaries. During the day tomorrow we will send them back the document with some suggestions," he told AFP.

Africa Subsaharan
SA not safe from al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab
[IOL.CO.ZA] The revelations in the secret State Security Agency (SSA) reports leaked to Al Jazeera should finally dispel any illusions that might still remain that South Africa is safe from attack by groups such as al-Qaeda because our government has the correct international stance.

Documents written in 2012 reveal that the SSA, working with secret services of other countries, foiled at least two al-Qaeda/al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
suicide kabooms in South Africa between 2007 and 2010. One target was a Jewish centre in Cape Town.

Another of the attacks was also aimed at a conference it seems, though whether that was also a Jewish event is not clear.

The SSA linked the faceless myrmidons who were planning these attacks both with al-Qaeda and al-Shabaab, the Somali myrmidon group which is fighting to topple the precarious government of that failed state.

The so-called "white bomber" Samantha Lewthwaite (aka Natalie Faye Webb), a British citizen who is suspected of involvement in al-Shabaab attacks in Kenya, figures prominently in the SSA reports.

As we already knew, she lived in South Africa between 2009 and 2011 under a stolen South African identity. She is still believed to be working for al-Shabaab.

Although the reports don't mention this, intelligence agencies suspected at the time that al-Shabaab intended to carry out an attack against the US embassy in South Africa in 2009. All embassy buildings were shut for several days.

The plans for an attack had apparently been intercepted in calls between an al-Shabaab operative in Somalia and Somalis in South Africa. So it seems that the al-Qaeda/al-Shabaab operatives are at least ready to target Jewish and US interests in South Africa. This illustrates the problem with the thesis that South Africa will be spared because it is not considered politically hostile -- or not as much as others.

Counseling helps 2,950 extremists mend ways
[ARABNEWS] Maj. Gen. Nasser Al-Mutairi, director of the Mohammed bin Nayef Center for Counseling and Care, said that his facility has reformed 2,950 young men who are now all fully integrated in society.

Nasser made these remarks on Monday, during a lecture at the headquarters of the Moslem World League, where several Saudi experts talked about the experience of fighting terrorism in the Kingdom. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
the center's success of retrievals of youth in danger of becoming bandidos bully boyz currently stands at 13 percent.

Despite the grim data, 120 individuals coming from Guantanamo Bay were successfully integrated in society thanks to the center, with 98 percent of them giving up krazed killer ideas.

Al-Mutairi said the center has a five-year strategy based on three propositions: psychological treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

Khaled Al Towayyan, president of the International Lawyers Commission, called on the workshop to launch an initiative to fight Daesh, the terror organization in Iraq and Syria behind the so-called Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
, and praised the role of the Kingdom in the fight against terrorism at all levels.

Abdulrahman Al-Hadlaq, head of Security Management in the Interior Ministry, said that the Kingdom has used different scientific methods to confront terrorism as well as a number of initiatives in different fields.

Part of these initiatives include tracking money transfers from banks, carefully monitoring charities, as well as creating new job opportunities for the youth.

UAE Reopens Yemen Embassy, in Aden not Sanaa
[AnNahar] The United Arab Emirates Friday followed Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
in announcing that its Yemen embassy will reopen, but in the coastal city of Aden not the militia-held capital.

"The UAE has decided its embassy would resume work in the city of Aden," Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, minister of state for foreign affairs, was quoted by the official WAM news agency as saying.

Aden is increasingly becoming Yemen's de facto capital since President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi fled there after escaping house arrest in Sanaa, controlled by the Shiite Huthi militia.

The UAE was among many countries, including Britannia, La Belle France, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Turkey that shuttered their embassies in Sanaa this month over security fears.

Western-backed Hadi, who rescinded a resignation he offered last month and has declared all actions by the Huthis to be illegitimate, has said he hopes to make Aden secure for foreign diplomatic missions.

In its day, Aden was the capital of an independent south Yemen.

In a first step, the Saudi embassy said Thursday that Ambassador Mohammed Saeed al-Jaber had resumed his duties from the kingdom's consulate in Aden.

The Huthis, who have long clashed with central authorities, descended from their power base in northern Yemen to seize Sanaa in September.

After their attempts to expand into southern and central Yemen were checked by fierce resistance from Al-Qaeda and from Sunni rustics, they moved to seize power this month in what Yemen's Gulf neighbors branded a coup.

UAE's Gargash said the decision to operate from Aden "comes to consolidate the constitutional legitimacy in the sisterly state of Yemen represented" by Hadi.

Ukraine Prepares for an Attack Against Russia? Installs Anti-Ballistic Missile System (ABM)
[GlobalResearch] The S-300 (otherwise called "SAM C-300") is designed to protect against retaliation. The entire purpose of ABMs is to disable retaliation. In that sense, ABMs are the most aggressive weapons of all. They are specifically designed to prevent retaliation from a nation that has been attacked and that is responding by sending in its own bombers to retaliate. [the S-300 technology is Russian. As I've said before, RUSSIA fears ...
> General ISLAMIST-JIHADIST THREAT.

Most espec vee the Hard Boyz.

IMO RUSSIA COVERTLY WANTS THE NATO-THREATENED BUILDUP IN EASTERN EUROPE + BALTICS, as a means of keeping Turkey + Germany under strict International = UNO, NATO-EU overwatch + control, + espec vee protecting still struggling Russia from the Hard Boyz i.e. the still-growing ISIS/ISIL + AL-NUSRA.

, recently captured on camera.

"We see how they demonstrate barbarism and how they destroyed the artifacts with sledgehammers in their hands," Celik said on Feb. 27 during a meeting in Istanbul's Topkapi Palace.

A video released on Feb. 26 showed ISIL murderous Moslems gleefully smashing ancient statues to pieces with sledgehammers in the main museum and an archeological site in Mosul, drawing global condemnation.

"The members of the civilization that created those artifacts cannot believe in the same religion as those who committed that barbarism," Celik added.

"Even one word, one sentence of these artifacts is a big challenge to the ill-intended messages that these groups are trying to give the world by abusing our religion," he also said.

U.S. concerned over 'deteriorating rights' in Turkey
[Hurriyet Daily News] People in a democratic country should be able to express criticism of their leaders, a senior U.S. official has said, voicing Washington's concern over The Sick Man of Europe Turkey's
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....

situation, amid a series of recent cases in which senior elected officials have opened cases against citizens upon alleged "insults."

"We are very concerned about this. People have been prosecuted for speaking their mind. In a democratic country that respects freedom of expression, people should not be prosecuted for expressing their views on the government of the day or public officials," said Thomas O. Melia, the deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL).

Melia's comments came upon a question about people facing criminal charges due to their criticism against Turkish leaders posted on social media.

jihadists and as a result imported muscle are able to travel through the country into Syria, U.S. intelligence chief James Clapper said Thursday.

When asked, Clapper told senators he wasn't optimistic Turkey would take a more active role in the war against the IS group.

"I think Turkey has other priorities and other interests," he told the Senate Armed Services Committee.

The Turkish government was more concerned with Kurdish opposition and the country's economy, the director of national intelligence said.

"Public opinion polls show in Turkey they don't see ISIL as a primary threat," said Clapper, using an alternative acronym for the Death Eaters.

The effect of Turkey's approach was to allow a "permissive" climate for foreign recruits heading to Syria to take arms for the IS group, he said.

"And of course, the consequence of that is a permissive environment... because of their laws and the ability of people to travel through Turkey en route to Syria," Clapper said.

"So somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 percent of those imported muscle find their way to Syria through Turkey."

The spy chief said some other governments in the Middle East have been reluctant to join the U.S.-led coalition against the IS group because of Washington's reluctance to directly confront the regime of Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Horror of Homs...
But the "brutal savagery" of the IS murderous Moslems, including the beheadings of hostages and the immolation of a captured Jordanian fighter pilot, "have had a galvanizing effect on opinion in the Mideast region," he said.

There was more willingness to cooperate with the United States in the war effort, with some Arab countries now sharing intelligence with Washington, he said.

The spy chief acknowledged that the United States faced intelligence "gaps" in Syria, as Washington had no embassy or any major presence on the ground.

- IS money problems -
In the northern Iraqi city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, the Islamic State group was struggling to find the money to pay for electrical power and other services, Clapper said.

"They do not have enough financial wherewithal to provide the services, municipal services that are required to run a city of a million people," he said.

"We're seeing signs of electricity outages, shortages of food and commodities."

There were signs the IS group was resorting to conscription to fill their ranks after having suffered heavy losses on the battlefield, especially in the Syrian border town of Kobane where large numbers of jihadists were killed in U.S.-led air strikes, he said.

"At least" 3,000 IS fighters were killed in Kobane, he said.

US trial: Pakistani says he 'posed as a woman' to meet women, not plot terror
[DAWN] A Pak man on trial in the US for planning to bomb a British shopping center testified on Thursday he was exaggerating his prowess with women in online chats and emails he sent mentioning potential wedding dates and a bride, denying the communiqués were coded to disguise an Al Qaeda plot.

Abid Naseer, taking the stand in his own defense, told a jury in Brooklyn federal court that he was posing as a woman to meet other women in a Yahoo chat-room in November 2008 when he connected with another man also posing as a woman.
Seriously? Wow.
Prosecutors charge Naseer was actually communicating with an Al Qaeda handler who communicated from the same email account with Najibullah Zazi, who pleaded guilty in 2010 to plotting to bomb the city's subway system.

"We discussed studies, life and women," said Naseer, who has pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
"I exaggerated my success with women ... to keep my male pride."
"Really, I'm a pathetic loser. But you can't just come out and admit it, y'know."
The government alleges Naseer headed an Al Qaeda cell in the United Kingdom that was part of a larger conspiracy by the terror group to carry out attacks in Denmark and New York City.

He faces life in prison if convicted. He was extradited to New York in 2013.

Questioned by a court-appointed adviser, Naseer denied emails mentioning a nikah, or Islamic wedding, specific female names and a ceremony to take place on Easter weekend 2009 were coded to disguise a forthcoming plot.

While he did have an on-again-off-again relationship with at least one woman, they were broken up at the time and had no wedding planned when the emails were sent, Naseer testified.

"I'm bored of being a bachelor now," he wrote in a January 2009 email to the person prosecutors say was the Al Qaeda handler, known in the emails as Sohaib. "There will be a huge party for everyone. "

Naseer testified he never learned the true identity of Sohaib because the Internet is meant to be anonymous.

"In the Internet world it's very rare to know real identities," he said. "The Internet is a world where you have multiple identities."
And that "woman" he was having a relationship with? You've heard how on the internet no one can tell if you're a dog...
The complicated terror case has featured testimony from MI5 agents posing in light disguises and declassified Al Qaeda documents recovered from the Pak compound of the late Osama bin Laden
... who is now beyond all cares and woe...
following the 2011 raid by US Navy SEALs.

India-Pakistan
Girl granted bail in extortion case
[DAWN] An anti-terrorism court on Friday granted bail to a teenaged girl arrested on charges of demanding extortion from local traders in the name of a militant outfit.
"Looky here, judge! Either I get bail or GeoTV finds out about that bleached blond hussy you've got hidden away in Gilgit-Baltistan!"
The girl stated to be 17 belongs to Mashokhel area of Peshawar, and was arrested a few days ago by the local police.
Precocious little thing, ain't she? Only seventeen and already arrested!
The ATC judge Abdur Rauf Khan pronounced a short order of accepting the bail petition of the girl after hearing arguments from the prosecution and the defence.
"Let her go, bailiff! She's got pictures and everything!"
The petitioner’s counsel contended that there was no evidence on record to prove that she belonged to a group of extortionists. He added that even if the prosecution’s version was accepted to be true the petitioner never meant to receive money from those who she called on phone.
Then why'd she call? Just to keep in touch?

No place for terrorists in country, says PM
[DAWN] Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf...
has said there is no place for troublemakers and murderous Moslems in the country
Except for Lashkar-e-Taiba, of course...
and his government is committed to making Pakistain a peaceful, prosperous and preferred destination for business.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Expo Pakistain, the country's biggest trade fair showcasing the largest collection of export merchandise and services, here on Thursday, he said Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
would be turned into a cradle of peace by 2018.

"Pakistain is a land of business opportunities. We offer foreign buyers a very competitive sourcing option. The captains of our industry have carved out their niche in the world market due to their production efficiencies and business ethics."

The prime minister said that because of consistent efforts, the government had succeeded in increasing the country's exports to over $25 billion and it would be doubled over the next three years. He said the government had recently approved a textile policy aimed at doubling exports of textiles from $13bn to $26bn by 2019.

FATF removes Pakistan from list of terror financiers
[DAWN] The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has removed Pakistain from its Grey list owing to its improvement in combating the twin menaces of money laundering and terrorist financing.

The Gay Paree-based FATF, the international body which sets standards for Anti-money Laundering/Combating Financing for Terrorism (AML/CFT), in its plenary meeting held in La Belle France removed Pakistain from the list which contained adverse remarks.

Pakistain was placed on the Grey list in February 2012 on the plea that the country was not fully compliant with the standards for effectively combating the twin menaces.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the decision, saying "Pakistain's removal from FATF Grey list is a timely and welcome development".

Pakistan will go on providing safe haven to Lashkar-e-Taiba: Clapper
More from Mr. Clapper.
[DNAINDIA] Pakistain will continue to provide safe haven to internationally-banned terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
which will remain a key irritant in ties with India, a top American spy master has said.
Goody.
"Pakistain's provision of safe haven to Lashkar-e-Taiba will probably continue to be a key irritant in relations with India," James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, said in his testimony on "World Threat Assessment of the US Intelligence Community" before the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Pakistain, he said, will probably continue to implement some economic reforms and target anti-Pakistain turbans and their activities.

"(Pak) Prime Minister (Nawaz) Sharif's promises to address economic, energy, and security issues almost certainly fell short of high public expectations. Furthermore, his standing weakened when he reportedly asked the army to step in and handle opposition protests in late 2014," he said.

"We assess that Islamabad will approve some additional economic reforms in 2015. Undertaking future economic and energy reforms will be more challenging and will probably face greater political and popular opposition," he added.

Clapper said the Pakistain government will probably focus in 2015 on diminishing the capabilities of the Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) which claimed the attack on a school in December that left over 130 children dead.

Fmr Pak Army Chief Gen. Aslam Beg: 'America Is Not Just Any Other Country, But It Is A Superpower That Has Made The World A Dangerous Land'
[MEMRI] In the article, published by the Urdu-language daily Roznama Ummat, Beg argued that India-U.S. relations are giving birth to a new reality in which India is required to counter the growing influence of China in the region, and the U.S., India, and Japan are coordinating their actions as part of a grand strategy.

Beg argued that this geostrategic transformation is paving the way for China, Russia, and Pakistan to work together, along with Afghanistan, which, he noted, has kept India and the U.S. separate from its new policy to engage its neighboring countries such as Iran and Russia.
That's certainly one view of events, one which conveniently omits the Pakistan Army's sponsorship of a great many Muslim terror organizations which have caused trouble both regionally and in the larger world.... not to mention China's creeping annexation of land along its border with India.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
New Docs Reveal Osama bin Laden's Secret Ties With Iran
[Weekly Standard] This week, prosecutors in New York introduced eight documents recovered in Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan as evidence in the trial of a terrorism suspect. The U.S. government accuses Abid Naseer of taking part in al Qaeda's scheme to attack targets in Europe and New York City. And prosecutors say the documents are essential for understanding the scope of al Qaeda's plotting.

More than 1 million documents and files were captured by the Navy Seals who raided bin Laden's safe house in Abbottabad, Pakistan in May 2011. One year later, in May 2012, the Obama administration released just 17 of them.

While there is some overlap between the files introduced as evidence in Brooklyn and those that were previously made public in 2012, much of what is in the trial exhibits had never been made public before.

The files do not support the view, promoted by some in the Obama administration, that bin Laden was in "comfortable retirement," "sidelined," or "a lion in winter" in the months leading up to his death. On the contrary, bin Laden is asked to give his order on a host of issues, ranging from the handling of money to the movement of terrorist operatives.

Some of the key revelations in the newly-released bin Laden files relate to al Qaeda's dealings with Iran and presence in Afghanistan.

A top al Qaeda operative asked bin Laden for permission to relocate to Iran in June 2010 as he plotted attacks around the world. That operative, Yunis al Mauritani, was a senior member of al Qaeda's so-called "external operations" team, and plotted to launch Mumbai-style attacks in Europe.
Anything surfacing yet on prominent U.S. based philanthropic foundations, foreign money transfers, or Libya ?

#6  What is surprising is that Obama and Kerry would not suspect that Iran had connections to OBL. The parochial differences between Sunni and Shia melt away where the U.S. or Israel is involved. Iran is just buying time to further their nuke program--these people are a den of snakes. You'd better count your fingers (and wash your hands) after shaking hands on any deals with them. The Obama regime would do well to shake off their collective snit and naivete and listen to what Netanyahu has to say. Israel has had them in their back yard for a long time. They have a pretty fair understanding of who we are dealing with.

Terror Networks
Assyrians and Kurds unified against ISIS
[ARA] The Kurdish village of Qasimiya is currently sheltering dozens of displaced Assyrian families who left their hometown of Hemun neat Tel Temir in northeastern Syria, following attacks by Lions of Islam of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. (IS/ISIL).

"With the intensified fighting between the Kurdish forces of the People's Protection Units (YPG) and Lions of Islam of the Islamic State group (IS/ISIS) in the outskirts of the strategic village of Tel Temir, many Assyrian families have been displaced, heading to Qasimiya village," Assyrian activist Adnan Shabu told ARA News.

Shabu pointed out to the suffering of civilians in the areas aid the deteriorating humanitarian situation, emphasizing the importance of the Kurdish solidarity with the Assyrian community.

"This solidarity under the current hardships in the region is an indication to the historical coexistence among Kurds and Assyrians," he said.

Tale of Two Villages

Shabu, who was displaced with his family from the village of Helmun which is now under the control of IS bully boys, also pointed out that the relationship between the two villages, the Assyrian village of Helmun and the Kurdish village of Qasimiya, is deep-rooted.

"These two villages showed a unique example of coexistence," the Assyrian activist added. "When Kurds opened their homes for the Assyrians, everybody became sure that this unity will never be defeated, not even by the most brutal terror group."

"The Kurds protected those displaced families, spending the nights on guarding the entrances of the village (Qasimiya), as well as linking their fate to the fate of their Assyrian brothers."

According to Shabu, several Kurdish men from Qasimiya have joined the fight against IS snuffies near the Assyrian village of Helmun.

"I know a Kurdish man who was martyred during the festivities while defending the Assyrian village against the barbarism of ISIL. With this determination, will achieve victory against those terrorists."

Speaking to ARA News in Tel Temir, mayor of the village of Helmun, Nazir Yalda, said: "I've never left my hometown, but this brutal attack obliged me to protect my family, and there was no other way than leaving Helmun."

"When I left my house, feelings of outrage and sorrow overwhelmed me. No words to express the situation of the Assyrians at the moment," he said.

Yalda also stressed the urgent need of civilians to humanitarian aid, appealing to regional and international aid organizations to assist hundreds of Assyrians in northeastern Syria.

#1  Here are the parts I found most disturbing:

“Filming the burning of Mouath [the Jordanian pilot] had taken a long time and the producer is seen shouting at them to take more takes for a better angle,” Samara said. “I saw foreign producers who spoke fluent English and from his accent I could tell that one of them was American,” Samara told Al-Arabiya.net.

According to Samara, ISIS has videos of the killing and burning of other foreign nationalities “that they have not shown yet.”

He said he watched the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians on video a week before it was made public by the group, but that he did not know who they were because no one knew then that ISIS had Egyptian captives.

“The video must have been made at least a month before it was broadcast because what was made public was directed,” said Samara, adding that one of the victims was from Bengal. “I saw in the video the martyrs screaming as they are beheaded.”

Samara believes that at least five cameras must have been used in filming the beheading of the Egyptian Christians on a beach in Libya, which included sound effects.

ISIS' financing is "vulnerable"
[CBSNEWS] A global agency fighting terrorist financing said Friday that the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was financially vulnerable as oil prices have fallen and their ability to extort resources in their territory across the two nations is peaking.

The Gay Paree-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF), in a report released Friday, urged governments to do more to starve the group of funds.

The report said most of ISIS' money comes from looting banks and farms, selling oil, kidnapping for ransom, remittances from abroad, and donations -- making it a more diverse money-getter than most other terror organizations, according to FAFT.

"A number of traditional countermeasures used to deprive terrorist organizations of its funds are not applicable with respect to the new model adopted by ISIL," said the report, using an alternate acronym for ISIS. "However,
it's easy to be generous with someone else's money...
like any terrorist organization, ISIL's financial, logistical and supply networks are vulnerable."

As CBS News senior national security analyst Juan Zarate said in August last year, ISIS has in some ways developed a "hybrid form of funding" that is both global and local. There's no clear answer as to how much money ISIS has, but reports at the time said the group was bringing in more than $1 million a day.

House Fails to Pass Stopgap Bill to Fund Homeland Security
[NBCNEWS] In a stunning rebuke to GOP leaders, the House failed on Friday night to pass a three-week measure to keep the Department of Homeland Security funded, throwing the agency's funding into further uncertainly as a midnight deadline looms to avert a shutdown.
Control of both houses, and they still disappoint.
The vote was 203-224.

It's unclear what House Speaker John It is not pronounced 'Boner!' Boehner
... the occasionally weepy leader of House Republicans...
will do next. If the House does not act by midnight, the Department of Homeland Security will run out of funding, triggering a shutdown of the agency.

Fifty-two Republicans broke with their leadership to oppose the temporary funding measure. Conservatives said the stopgap bill represented a cave to the White House by failing to curtail the president's executive orders regarding immigration.
