Gunmen Shoot Dead Two Egyptian Policemen
[AnNahar] Gunmen rubbed out two Egyptian coppers in a pre-dawn attack while they were on patrol Tuesday in the southern city of Minya, the interior ministry said.

Policemen and soldiers have faced regular holy warrior attacks since the army ousted Islamist president Mohammed Morsi in July 2013.

Hundreds have been killed in attacks claimed by jihadist groups in retaliation for a government crackdown targeting Morsi's supporters since his ouster.

The gunnies opened fire on the two coppers while they patrolled in the city of Minya, about 250 kilometers (155 miles) south of Cairo, interior ministry front man Hani Abdel Latif told Agence La Belle France Presse.

The coppers were responsible for the security of a church in the city, a security official from Minya said, but Abdel Latif said the attack occurred far away from the church.

Minya was the scene of unrest last year when the Coptic Christian community faced several attacks from Islamists.

Police Officer Killed in Cairo Bomb Blast
[AnNahar] An Egyptian police officer was killed Tuesday while trying to defuse a bomb outside a petrol station in Cairo, police said, with jihadists claiming responsibility.

Three employees were also maimed when the device, hidden in a flower pot, went kaboom! near a cop shoppe on al-Harram street, a busy avenue leading to the pyramids.

A video posted on the website of Egyptian daily Youm 7 shows the officer dressed in protective gear being thrown meters away as the device explodes in his hands.

The jihadist group Ajnad Misr (Soldiers of Egypt) claimed on Twitter that it had placed the device, saying it was targeting coppers.

Earlier Tuesday two coppers were rubbed out by gunnies in a pre-dawn attack while they were on patrol in the southern city of Minya.

Policemen and soldiers have faced regular turban attacks since the army ousted Islamist president Mohammed Morsi in July 2013.

Hundreds have been killed in attacks claimed by jihadist groups in retaliation for a government crackdown targeting Morsi's supporters.

#9  NBC reporting now that one attacker is dead and the other 2 are in custody.

These people don't care about prison or even death. So I think maybe something else is in order. Deport ten thousand of the most radical - anyone ever convicted of a violent crime, involved with terrorism, etc. Deport them and their families. Yes, it's rude. It's also a message that the Muslim community will receive loud and clear. After all, how many of them really want to return to Saudi, Syria, Iran or Yemen? So give them something to lose that they actually care about. Kind of ironic too - for all their nonsense about Allen, sharia, raisins and the like what they actually value is good old western culture.
Posted by: Iblis || 01/07/2015 20:35 Comments || Top||

#10  Sadly we are getting close collective punishment - no not genocide. Put the community must pay a price for this crap. Clean out your community or we will. Demolish your mosque and expel the clerics, deny any type of loans or banking, deny admittance to university, cut off any State welfare to the families. We cannot threat this shit as a crime, as the libs want to do. It is a guerilla war. And guerillas are only successful if they have a population to hide in, the VC and IRA. Or an over the border sanctuary, Cambodia, Pakistan.

#11  NBC No French Confirmation of U.S. Officials' Account of Paris Manhunt

Two senior U.S. counterterrorism officials told NBC News on Wednesday that one of the suspects in the Paris attack on Charlie Hebdo magazine has been killed and the two others are in custody — but French authorities would not confirm that report.

Authorities earlier had identified the three men as Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, both French and in their early 30s, and Hamyd Mourad, 18. It couldn't immediately be determined which of the suspects was killed or whether the two others were wounded.

Cartoonist let terrorists in--they threatened to murder her child.
A young mother and cartoonist who survived the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris today said she had let the suspected Al Qaeda killers into the magazine office.

Corrine Rey said she had returned from picking up her young daughter from a kindergarten when she was confronted by two heavily armed men wearing balaclavas.

'I had gone to pick up my daughter at day care, arriving in front of the magazine building, where two masked and armed men brutally threatened us,' said Ms Rey, who draws under the name 'Coco'.

'They said they wanted to go up to the offices, so I tapped in the code,' said Ms Rey, referring to the digi-code security system on the inter-phone.

Miss Rey and her daughter hid under a desk, from where they saw two other cartoonists being executed.

'They shot Wolinski and Cabu,' she said, 'It lasted five minutes. I had taken refuge under a desk.

She said the men 'spoke French perfectly' and 'claimed they were 'Al Qaeda terrorists'.

According to Charlie Hebdo's lawyer, four cartoonists were killed by the masked gunmen: Cabu, Wolinski, Tignous and Charb, the pen name of Stephane Charbonnier, also the chief editor at Charlie Hebdo.

Corrine's story is one of several horrifying tales from people who saw and survived the attack in Paris today.

Another eye-witness, who works in an office in the same building, told the BBC World Service: 'When I arrived at the scene it was quite disturbing as you can imagine. There were several corpses on the floor.

He arrived at the scene of the massacre just minutes after the attackers had left, and described how he tried to make some room for the wounded in the office.

He added: 'As we progressed through the rooms, we saw there were a lot of people down on the floor and there was blood everywhere.

'We're extremely relieved that nobody was affected by the attacks in my own office... but obviously I'm very traumatised by this attack and everything and now we're in psychological hell where we're being attended to by professionals.'

Giles Boulanger, who also works in the same building, described to French news station Itele how a colleague warned him that armed men had entered the building.

He said: 'several minutes later, we heard several shots in the building from automatic weapons from all directions.

'It was really upsetting. You'd think it was a war zone.'
The headquarters of Charlie Hebdo was attacked with a 'firebomb' in November 2011, after they put an image of the Prophet Mohammed on its cover.

Security presence around the building was ineffective against the 'well trained' attackers, Stefan De Vries told Sky News.

The French journalist, who arrived at the scene moments after the attackers had fled, said: 'There was protection at the door but they killed the police officers, they executed them and they started shooting in the offices. There were more than 50 people inside.

‘It was difficult to enter but these people, the suspects were heavily armed, and shot the police so yeah, there was security but it was useless.’

Witnesses said the suspected Al Qaeda killers were heard to shout 'the Prophet has been avenged' and 'Allahu akbar!' – 'God is greatest' – as they stalked the building.

Horrific footage also emerged showing an injured police officer slumped on the pavement outside the office as two of the gunmen approach.

Police officers were involved in a gunfight with the men, who escaped in a hijacked car, speeding away towards east Paris and remain on the loose, along with a third armed man.

#1  I understand why, but this act defeated the entire security setup. If this is something she does every school day, then that is a very predictable method of entry without hanging around, looking like a bunch of terrorists, for somebody to force the key.

Too bad there isn't a panic button enter key, opens the door with a tad delay while silent alarms alert occupants, security, and police stations.

#3  She's going to have to. She didn't get her co-workers killed, the avenging jihadis did. In fact, I am wondering why they were not killed as well.

She's an artist, so I'm guessing not Lolo Jones, has her kid, ambushed by two SOA. If the plan was to use an office building resident to breech security, it is really about the perfect mark.

#6  And she followed them inside?

She was likely ordered at gunpoint to go in first.

#7  I'm just not sure how they new about the administrative meeting. It seems like inside information, and to go unnoticed for so long when they must have staked out the place? Camera, or paid someone? There's more to this story about how this was done.

Terrorist Attack on French Newspaper Had Published Prophet PBUH Cartoons
At least 11 people were killed when gunmen armed with Kalashnikovs and a rocket-launcher opened fire in the offices of French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday.

President Francois Hollande, who immediately headed to the scene of the shooting in Paris, described it as a "terrorist attack."
As opposed to Champ who described it as a "man-made unfortunate weather situation."...
Hollande said 11 people were killed and another four were in critical condition after the attack, branding it an "act of exceptional barbarism" and calling an emergency cabinet meeting.

He called for "national unity" as the government raised its alert level to the highest possible in the greater Paris region. He added that "several terrorist attacks had been foiled in recent weeks".

Wednesday's shooting is one of the worst attacks in France in decades.

You'd better be wearing your Depends before you climb on that soap box. The government may punish the Mohammedan perp, but you're still dead over a cartoon, and the perp still gets his virgins.

Since it's a slippery slope, the solution is no Mohammedans in France. Things have to get a lot worse before that happens.

#13  Note the shooter in the third frame, lower left. The slight build, arm length, enlarged head cover, height, [as compared to the other shooter] might indicate a female.

#14  Shoe which fell out of vehicle and was retrieved by shooter, may have been a part of post-attack disguise. [gun person slips out of black jumpsuit, black books and into mufti] Why take time to pick up a shoe if it was not needed later.
Posted by: Besoeker || 01/07/2015 11:18 Comments || Top||

#15  At least one of the witnesses is telling attackers were "Black". But, since one of the hypothesis traces to Yemen there is in Yemen an ethnia whose skin is darker than the one of real Blacks but in addition to have different faces (and slo different to the ones of the Nilotics like Massais and Tutsis) have hands and feet completely black while Blacks have lighter palms and foot plants. I had the occasion to see one of them. It was bizarre. However a witness who is busy trying to find civer will not notice the difference.

#16  After reviewing the vid a fifth time, it is apparent the driver of the black vehicle is a/the leader, person in charge. The passenger [person who picked up shoe] has a much shorter stride, slight hip sway, again indicating the possibility of a female shooter.

#32  Business Insider reports the police have identified all three jihadis:

According to Metro, by Wednesday evening local time French law enforcement was aware of the names and birthdates of the alleged perpetrators. Metro reported one of the suspects is 34 years old, another is 32 years old, and the third is 18 years old.

The two older men are reportedly brothers, French citizens, and residents of Paris. Metro reported the younger man is a student whose nationality is unknown and has no fixed address.

Le Point reported French police were focusing on two suspects whom the magazine described as "French-Algerian." According to Le Point the two men, who were 32 and 34-years old, returned to France from Syria last summer.

According to Le Point, in 2008, one of these men was tied to an Iraqi network in Paris that allegedly encouraged young men to join militants in Iraq. The magazine reported he was also arrested in 2005 as he attempted to travel to Damascus. In addition to the two men, Le Point said police were looking for a suspect who was born in 1996 and has no fixed address.

#11  At the shooting scene, the French police car windscreen had 10-12 bullet holes in a close pattern, possibly a burst from a range of 5-10 meters. Appears the police drove directly up on the event. Another policeman [possibly separate from the one's in the car] appears to have been approaching just down the sidewalk. The terrorists moved toward him to neutralize, prior to driving down the street making they getaway. My guess is this policeman was monitoring events and calling in the attack on a radio.

#12  Yahoo news:

Survivor and Charlie Hebdo cartoonist Corinne "Coco" Rey was quoted by French newspaper L'Humanite as saying: "I had gone to collect my daughter from day care and as I arrived in front of the door of the paper's building two hooded and armed men threatened us. They wanted to go inside, to go upstairs. I entered the code.

"They fired on Wolinski, Cabu ... it lasted five minutes ... I sheltered under a desk... They spoke perfect French... claimed to be from al Qaida."

Posted by: Steve White || 01/07/2015 10:46 Comments || Top||

#15  Yes, they carry pistols, at least in the regions I have visited.

From Wik:

In 1935, the French police used a variety of side arms, both revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, notably comprising the MAS 1873, the MAS 1892, the FN M1900, Ruby pistols, and a variety of privately purchased weapons.

Immediately after the Second World War, a variety of military side arms was used, often captured weapons provided by the Army or French-produced German-designed weapons, such as the Mauser HSc or the Walther P38 for sidearms, and the Karabiner 98k rifle.

In 1951, a standardisation was performed on the RR 51 pistol[5] in 7.65mm, and on the MAS-38 and MAT-49 for sub-machine guns. From 1953, in the context of heightening violence of the Algeria War, CRS units were upgraded to the 9mm MAC Mle 1950

From the early 1960, large-caliber revolvers were introduced, culminating with the introduction of the Manurhin MR 73 and the Ruger SP-101. In the 80s, a process to standardize on revolvers was initiated. The 1970s also saw the introduction of assault rifles (SIG SG 543) to fend off heavily armed organised crime and terrorism.

In the 2000s, the police started switching to semi-automatic pistols and to the 9mm Parabellum cartridge. For some years, the standard sidearm in the French Police National and the Gendarmerie Nationale was the PAMAS G1, the French licensed-made. In 2003 both agencies made the biggest small arms contract since the Second World War[6] for about 250,000 SIG SIG Sauer Pro SP 2022, a custom-tailored variant of the SIG Pro, replacing the PAMAS-G1 and several other pistols in service. The weapons are planned to stay in service until the year 2022, hence the weapon name.

#18  French police carry sidearms. Don't know the exact model. At one point it was the Manurhin revolver and it was avertised as a "powerful" weapon . I don't know if they are still carrying it or have switched to pistols possibly firing lighter bullets but a revolver is no match against a Kalachnikov specially when the bad guys are wearing flight jackets.

What Charlie Hebdo did is a crime in all islamic states, in many states it carries the death penalty.

The islamofascistic terrorists did nothing but apply islamic law on french soil.

Anyone who wants to sincerely distance himself from this filthy treachery logically must also condemn the legal foundation of all OIC member states as criminal and inherently illegitimate.

That is something these islamic organizations will never do.

Female suicide bomber hits police station in Istanbul
[DAWN] A female jacket wallah blew herself up inside a cop shoppe in Istanbul's historic Sultanahmet district on Tuesday, killing one officer and wounding another, the city's governor and Turkish media said.

The woman spoke English as she entered the building but her nationality and identity were unknown, Governor Vasip Sahin told news hounds at the scene.

Turkish media said one of the officers died from his wounds.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but the bombing comes less than a week after far-left group DHKP-C said it was behind a grenade attack on police near the prime minister's office in Istanbul.

Police sealed off the street where Tuesday's attack happened, across the square from the Aya Sofya museum and Blue Mosque and near the Basilica Cistern, which are among the top tourist destinations in one of the world's most visited cities.

Public transport resumed after being briefly shut down and some tourists, braving heavy snow, were still walking around the historic Sultanahmet square.

The DHKP-C (Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front) had warned of further strikes after last Thursday's attack, in which a man carrying an automatic weapon was detained near the Ottoman-era Dolmabahce Palace.

The group was also behind a suicide kaboom at the US Embassy last year as well as attacks on Turkish cop shoppes. Turkey faces other security threats.

Turkey detains Dutch journalist on 'terror' charges
[IN.REUTERS] Turkish police detained a Dutch news hound on terrorism charges on Tuesday, highlighting accusations of media persecution on a day President Tayyip Erdogan declared that Turkish journalists enjoyed more freedom than any in Europe.

Frederike Geerdink, based in the mainly Kurdish city of Diyarbakir in southeastern Turkey, tweeted that police had searched her home and were taking her into custody on charges related to "propaganda for a terrorist organization". The Dutch Foreign Minister, on a visit to Ankara, said he was shocked.

A police official said on condition of anonymity that Geerdink, a prolific Twitter user who reports for Dutch radio and newspapers including Het Parool in the Netherlands and Britannia's Independent, were tossed into the calaboose on the prosecutor's order and would be released after giving a statement.

President Erdogan rejected "false" stories in the Western media depicting Turkey as increasingly undemocratic under his 12-year-old rule.

"There is an attempt to tarnish Turkey by using press freedom when it is in fact measures taken against terrorism," Erdogan said in a speech to Turkish ambassadors that coincided with Geerdink's detention.

Two brothers killed in 'sectarian' attack in Gol Market
[DAWN] Two brothers were killed one after another in a suspected sectarian attack at the busy Gol Market in Nazimabad on Tuesday, police said.

The officials said Salman Shabbir, 22, was sprayed with bullets at his shop, Hyderi Spices, while his brother Asad, 20, who took shelter inside a neighbouring tailor?s shop, was chased and killed by the suspects. The tailor, Kamran, sustained a gunshot wound in a thigh in the firing, the police added.

They quoted witnesses as saying that the four suspects sped away on two cycle of violences following the attack. The maimed brothers were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

A hospital official said Salman suffered eight gunshot wounds while Asad sustained two bullet wounds. Kamran was admitted for treatment, he said, adding that his condition was out of danger.

Liaquatabad SP Mohammed Ihsan Malik said: ?The incident appeared to be assassination linked with sectarianism as the brothers belonged to the Shia community.?

He said the attackers used 0.9mm pistol. The police Sherlocks seized eight spent bullet casings from the scene of the crime.

The officer said a Sunni shopkeeper had been killed in a suspected sectarian attack earlier. He admitted that ?sectarian? killings in the Gol Market had been reported in the past also and they were investigating motive of the attackers for targeting the shopkeepers.

?At least 18 people have been killed in Gol Market, Nazimabad, in the recent past,? said a spokesperson for the Majlis Wahdat-e-Moslemeen.

The victims included four shopkeepers and six owners of the printing press, he added.

?It seems their motive is to get the market vacated by members of the Shia community,? said the MWM spokesperson.

Two Rangers personnel killed during raid on TTP hideout in Landhi
[DAWN] Two Rangers personnel were killed and a passer-by was maimed by suspected Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain forces of Evil when the law enforcers raided their hideout in Landhi on Tuesday morning.

Hawaldar Amir Hasan, 40, and sepoy Rukhsar Hussain, 30, sustained gunshot wounds during the raid conducted by the paramilitary force in Khurramabad, near the bus stop in Landhi 37-B, police and Rangers officials said.

Five suspects, including the owner of the building, were later detained for interrogation while a total of 10 suspects were booked in the case.

The law-enforcers claimed to have seized hand grenades, crackers and other weapons from the neighbourhood in a search operation carried out following the incident.

Landhi SP Akhter Farooq said the Rangers personnel from Nazimabad acting on information about the presence of TTP forces of Evil in the Khurramabad area conducted the raid without informing the local police.

?As the troops knocked at door of the house, the forces of Evil opened fire on them leaving the two Rangers personnel and a passer-by, Jahanzeb, maimed,? said the officer.

?The forces of Evil used AK-47 rifle and 0.9mm pistol,? he added.
I'm not a firearms expert, but I think that's a smaller bore than normal.
They managed to escape though a search was conducted in the area to catch them, the police said. During the search, five suspects including the house owner were detained for interrogation, said the Rangers spokesperson.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the congregants were being herded into the paddy wagon...
the maimed personnel and the passer-by were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors declared Hawaldar Amir Hasan and Sepoy Rukhsar dead. Jahanzeb was admitted for treatment, officials said.

The Landhi SP said the Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) copies submitted to the landlord by the fleeing forces of Evil were seized. He said the fleeing suspects were identified and booked in the case.

The Landhi police registered an FIR (5/2015) on a complaint of Rangers Inspector Asghar Ali of 81-Wing Sachal, Nazimabad, against Kamran alias Kosar, Tariq alias Umar, Shahid Ali alias Sajid, Qari Javed alias Swati, Asadullah and Salman alias Yasir and four unidentified suspects.

The suspects were booked under Sections 302 (murder), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 324 (attempt to commit qatl-e-amd), 286 (negligent conduct with respect to explosive substance), 427 (mischief causing damage), 34 (with common intention) of the Pakistain Penal Code, Section 3/4 Explosive Act and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.

Funeral prayers for the two soldiers were later offered at the Rangers training centre, situated off the Superhighway, after which the bodies were sent to their native towns in Punjab for burial.

Suicide Bombings, Clashes Kill 23 in Iraq's Anbar
[AnNahar] Two suicide kabooms followed by festivities in Iraq's Anbar province west of Baghdad killed 23 security personnel on Tuesday, officers and a doctor said.

The jacket wallahs attacked a mosque in the Al-Jubba area of Anbar where anti-jihadist fighters were resting, killing 10, after which festivities broke out that left a further 13 security personnel dead and 21 maimed.

Al-Jubba is located near the Al-Asad Air Base -- where American military personnel are deployed -- and the town of Baghdadi, an area that has seen heavy fighting between security forces and the Islamic State

(IS) jihadist group.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but suicide kabooms are a tactic almost exclusively employed by Sunni bully boyz in Iraq, including IS jihadists.

IS spearheaded a major offensive in June that overran large areas north and west of Baghdad, including significant parts of Anbar.

Tribal fighters have played a key role in keeping the jihadists from gaining further ground in Anbar, and Iraqi forces are now providing training to rustics at Al-Asad.

In a meeting on Monday with Suhaib al-Rawi, the newly elected governor of embattled Anbar province, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi called for a "tribal revolution" against IS, the premier's office said.

He emphasized "the importance of the tribes and the sons of the province taking part in liberating their areas from the terrorist organizations".

#3  At #1. Yes, in and out of Balad airbase 2006-2008, not that kool. The bad guys were only a few meters on the other side of the wire. No counter-battery fire, only a noisy C-RAM which was damn little comfort. Shi**ing oneself when the siren went off was no laughing matter.

#4  Nothing like violating or issuing orders violating Art. 99 of the UCMJ.

10 U.S. Code § 899 - Art. 99. Misbehavior before the enemy

Any member of the armed forces who before or in the presence of the enemy—
(1) runs away;
(2) shamefully abandons, surrenders, or delivers up any command, unit, place, or military property which it is his duty to defend;
(3) through disobedience, neglect, or intentional misconduct endangers the safety of any such command, unit, place, or military property;
(4) casts away his arms or ammunition;
(5) is guilty of cowardly conduct;
(6) quits his place of duty to plunder or pillage;
(7) causes false alarms in any command, unit, or place under control of the armed forces;
(8) willfully fails to do his utmost to encounter, engage, capture, or destroy any enemy troops, combatants, vessels, aircraft, or any other thing, which it is his duty so to encounter, engage, capture, or destroy; or
(9) does not afford all practicable relief and assistance to any troops, combatants, vessels, or aircraft of the armed forces belonging to the United States or their allies when engaged in battle;

shall be punished by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct.

Then again, if they don't give a rat's ass about law anyway, why bother with the UCMJ?

#10  Besoeker - Balad was a joke under one of its first commanders. Had us in the damn CONEX for sleeping, but wouldn't let us sandbag, none at all on the roof. Of course he was sleeping in the solid buildings - those big ones by the gate or else the concrete revetments.

None of this applies as the shooters are not considered the enemy.

Maybe they're enemies of Iraq but they are certainly not enemies of the Choom Gang.

Palestinian Gets 3 Life Terms for Murder of Israeli Teens
[AnNahar] An Israeli military court on Tuesday handed three life sentences to a Paleostinian Lion of Islam convicted of organizing the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers.
Jen Penski immediately noted that the court decision raised tensions...
Hossam Qawasme was also ordered to pay 250,000 shekels ($63,000/53,000 euros) in compensation to each of the three families at a hearing at Ofer military court near the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Qawasme was incarcerated
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
in connection with organizing and financing the June 12 kidnapping of the three teenagers that triggered a series of events which led to a deadly 50-day war in Gazoo.

"The accused was convicted of the most serious crimes .. the cold-blooded and terrible murder of three young people who were going home to their families," court documents said.

"As a result of his actions, the accused is sentenced to three life terms. He will be removed from society and spend the rest of his life in prison. In addition he will pay compensation of 250,000 shekels to each of the families of the youths."

His two accomplices, Amer Abu Eisha, 32, and Marwan Qawasme, 29, who carried out the attack, were both rubbed out during an exchange of fire with the Israeli army in the southern West Bank city of Hebron in late September.

Israel blamed the bloodshed on Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, but although the Islamist movement hailed the attack, it said the three were operating independently.

The June abduction of Gilad Frenkel, Gilad Shaer and Eyal Yifrach from a hitchhiking stop near Hebron sparked a massive manhunt in which hundreds of Paleostinians were arrested and at least five killed.

The operation triggered a surge in rocket fire from Gazoo that ultimately led to a July-August war which left nearly 2,200 Paleostinians dead, most of them civilians, and 73 in Israel, mostly soldiers.

Son of former Hamas military chief arrested in Fatah sweep
[IsraelTimes] Dozens held in West Bank as part of ongoing crackdown; Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, arrests Fatah members in Gazoo in tit-for-tat measure
Did Israel pass on another warning of another Hamas plot against the PA?
The Paleostinian Authority has placed in durance vile
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
dozens of Hamas members in the West Bank in the past two weeks, including the son of a top bombmaker killed by Israel, Paleostinian sources said Tuesday.

The sweeps are part of an ongoing crackdown on the group and other Islamists since the end of Israel?s war with Hamas-led fighters over the summer, while Hamas forces have made arrest raids on Fatah members in the Strip, in a sign of faltering unification efforts despite a pact signed between the rival groups last year.
Faltering is certainly one way to describe it. I would have gone with entirely sham, myself.
One of the Hamas members pulled in was named as the son of Yahya Ayyash, a master bombmaker known as ?The Engineer? who led the organization?s military wing until his liquidation in 1996.

Baraa Ayyash was arrested in Nablus three days ago by members of the Paleostinian Preventative Security apparatus.

In a similar manner Hamas security forces in the Gazoo Strip have, over the past two weeks, arrested dozens of activists from Fatah, the political party of Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
Hamas official Mahmoud al-Zahar condemned the arrest of Baraa Ayyash and said that Abbas was responsible for what he termed a criminal act.

?It is historical Dire Revenge on the martyr,? Zahar wrote on his Facebook page.

Yesterday marked exactly 19 years since Baraa?s father was killed by Israel.

Ayyash, from Kfar Rafat in the northern West Bank, was killed by a booby-trapped exploding cellphone that delivered to him by the Israeli Shin Bet security service while he was in Gazoo.

He was considered responsible for designing the bombs used in a number of deadly suicide kabooms against Israel.

Philippine troops seize BIFF camp, kill 20 militants
[Mindanao Examiner] Philippine security forces killed more than a dozen Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) militants and captured their camp following a gun battle in Maguindanao province.

Officials said the troops assaulted the BIFF encampment and captured the base used by militants under Sukarno Sapal as launch point from which to attack military posts in the area.

There were no reports of military casualties, according to Capt. Jo-ann Petinglay, a spokeswoman for the 6th Infantry Division. She said division commander Maj. Gen. Edmundo Pangilinan ordered an intensified operation against the BIFF.

Colonel Melquiadez Feliciano, commander of the 601st Infantry Brigade, said the captured camp was also being used by the BIFF as a training base. He said troops fired more than a dozen cannon rounds at the base. He said the militants were also behind recent attacks in Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat provinces.

Kurds Kill 24 IS Jihadists in Syria's Kobane

They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
jihadists were killed in festivities with Kurdish fighters Tuesday in the Syrian town of Kobane, where a battle has raged for almost four months, a monitoring group said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the IS murderous Moslems died in firefights and ambushes by People's Protection Units (YPG) in eastern sectors of Kobane.

Seven YPG fighters were also killed as well as two civilians who died in IS raids, said the Britannia-based group.

The group, which relies on a network of activists and medics on the ground for its information, said Monday the Kurdish fighters now control 80 percent of the border town.

IS launched an assault on Kobane in mid-September and came close to overrunning the town, which is also known as Ain al-Arab.

But Kurdish fighters, backed by U.S.-led air strikes, have been able to gradually recapture territory in the small town, which is strategic because of its location on the border with Turkey.

ISIS 'police' official beheaded in Deir al-Zor
[Ynet] A senior figure in ISIS's self-declared police force in Syria, which has carried out beheadings, was himself found decapitated in the eastern province of Deir al-Zor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Tuesday.

The man was an Egyptian national and was known as the deputy "emir" of the al-Hesbah force in the province, the British-based Observatory said. His body, which showed signs of torture, was found near a power plant in al-Mayadeen city, it said.
The International Business Times added a few details:

executioner in Syria who carried out beheadings for the jihadist group has been found with his head cut off.

The body of the Egyptian man, known to be the deputy emir of the feared al-Hesbah (or Hisbah) force in the eastern province of Deir al-Zor, was recovered near a power plant in al-Mayadeen city, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The corpse showed signs of torture and carried the message "This is evil, you Sheikh" written on it. The severed head also had a cigarette in its mouth. It is unclear who carried out the decapitation but the message was obvious.

The Syrian Observatory also reported that unknown assailants tried to kill two IS bully boyz in al-Mayadeen.

Racism
I was dragging out of bed this morning when my wife asked if I'd read about the attack in Paris. I grunted something while I went to brush my remaining teeth. Two things popped out in my mind between that first taste of Pepsodent and the final rinse and spit: "Charlie Hebdo" and "I'll bet Merkel's feeling stupid about now."

"Charlie Hebdo" was pretty much instinct, because we've been doing this for a long time. It wasn't the Eiffel Tower, so they were next on the list. If it had been Denmark, it would have been Jyllandsposten.

The Angela Merkel thought may or may not have any accuracy. She's a politician who plays to her base and the Eurobase is a snotty, wimpy bunch that seemingly doesn't mind being colonized. Sweden seemed to have handed over the keys and agreed to be out by the end of the month. I guess the Ostrogoths' neighbors felt kind of the same way. The later Roman Empire was fond of the rule of law, which meant you could get what you wanted out of the system if you had the money.

There's a group called PEGIDA that's been holding demonstrations against the colonists. They're "racists" because they don't want to have their history and culture displaced. I believe there's some lingering vestige of wanting their wives and daughters to be safe from being sold off into slavery. They've noticed how The Natives are "groomed" from early ages around Moslem neighborhoods.

The staid Burghers are catching on. The Eurocentric political parties are growing. It's become a race between them catching on and the hipster innalekshuls learning how to properly pronounce "Allahu Akbar." The tide can be stemmed for awhile by hollering "racism," which makes everybody on the receiving end feel uncomfortable.

Then there are the Jews, everybody's favorite piñata. Goebbels' Ghost knows how to handle that setup.

Why would native Euros -- Frenchies, Fritzies, honest Walloons and Phlegms, Brits, Spaniards and Italianos -- want to replace their own cultures with something utterly alien?

Che, baby.

It is, like, so trendè to be a Revolutionary. Question Authority® and all that stuff. If you're going to tear down your own society Arabian culture makes a nifty weapon. Western culture has more in common with today's Japan, China, and one Korea. Euro culture can understand the Russians better than they comprehend Islam -- the proof is that Russians integrate better into European societies.

Once you're a true-green Allahu Akbar revolutionary you get to be fearsome. You get to wear a face mask and M.C. Hammer pants and tote a gun. You get to chop people's heads off, just like Genghis Khan did. Hell, you may even get to explode!

We're supposed to welcome these guys with open arms. Really. They're no different from the rest of us.

To quote the recently deceased editor of Charlie Hebdo: "I'd rather die on my feet than to live on my knees,"

"I'd rather die on my feet than to live on my knees" Amen to that.

However, the leftists are in search of a culture, so they don't seem to feel as Charlie Hebdo does.

#2  There's plenty of "snotty that seemingly doesn't mind being colonized" in all Western nations including the US. ("Islam is peace!", "The future must not belong...")

I'm not trying to defend the European mainstream, nor am I gloating. This is an alarming diagnosis.

I don't believe that cowardice is behind this mindset though. The enemy is weak, so weak that it can't be said to exist as a military power. Hence asymmetrical warfare.

What plagues Western elites seems to be zero cultural self-confidence and, for lack of a better word, masochism.

Restoring deterrence after 9/11 would have been easy and cheap for the West, and painful for the Arab-Islamic world, the leaders and the people.

Our betters decided that this wasn't the way to go. Now we're paying the price.
