#1  From West Hollywood, a gay boy went
In search of exciting employment,
But powder and bases
And fine ladies' faces
Have brought him but little enjoyment.

And re Linda from yesterday:

Make sure your shot misses
And don't expect kisses
From Venus with suds for apparel.

Gunmen kill renowned businessman in Bossaso
BOSSASO, Somalia -- Suspected Al Shabaab gunmen have gunned down renowned businessman in the Gulf of Aden port city of Bossaso on Tuesday evening according to witnesses, Garowe Online reports. Yusuf Alin was shot dead in front of Karama hotel, with security sources disclosing that assailants fled from the scene of the crime shortly.
Almost as if they were never there...
The killing has coincided with days after Al Shabaab honed military-style ambushes along Bossaso-Garowe highway.

The late Alin who hails from the restive Galgala area is the brother of Puntland's former Deputy Minister for Security Abdijamal Moalim Ahmed.

Two die in Egypt as Mursi backers clash with police
[ARABNEWS] Two people were killed Friday when supporters of Egypt's ousted President Muhammad Mursi clashed with police and residents outside Cairo, security officials said.

In the province of Fayoum, south of the capital, violence erupted after Mursi supporters staged a protest following Friday prayers, leading to the death of a 19-year-old student.

Security officials said police used tear gas after protesters fired birdshot at them.

The exact cause of the student's death was not immediately clear, said Health Ministry official Medhat Shukri. He added that three coppers were also maimed in the festivities.

Another person was killed when pro-Mursi protesters clashed in the Ain Shams district northeast of Cairo with residents opposed to Mursi's presidency, which was toppled by the army last year.

Two other people were maimed in the festivities which erupted after the protesters fired birdshot and live rounds at Ain Shams residents, a Cairo police official said.

Security officials said that 13 people who took part in protests Friday in support of Mursi were jugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
, including five in Fayoum who were found in possession of petrol bombs.

Boko Haram kills two, razes churches in Borno village
[DAILYPOST.NG] No fewer than two people were feared dead on Wednesday when a group of Death Eaters suspected to be Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
sect members invaded Whitambaya village of Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State.

The gunnies also razed down two churches including the Church of Brethren in Nigeria, popularly known as E.Y.N church, as well as residential houses, mostly belonging to Christians.

Whitambaya is a hilly community located at the off shores of River Hawul, and some few kilometers South-East of Haul council area, which has been under series of deadly Boko Haram attacks in the last one month.

It would be recalled that the Caretaker Chairman of Hawul, Dr. Andrew Usman Malgwi complained of lack of military presence in his Council, which is predominantly Christian dominated.

A Pastor of Living Faith Church, Pastor Eluid Gwamna Mshelizza and other 19 residents of Shaffa town were in the recent past slaughtered, and over 6 churches razed down in the same location.

An eye witness, Mallam Shaibu Isa, told DailyPost that the gunnies came into the village from Pelachiroma and Dzur villages, which were suspected to have terrorists' camps in the last one year.

Isa stated that, "a combined group of gunnies, in 18 buses, stormed our community at about 3pm on Wednesday, chanting Allahu Akbar (God is Great) and set ablaze two churches, three residential houses belonging to Christian faithfuls before they killed two persons.

"The gunnies had a field day looting some shops and houses; As I am talking to you now, we have lost two of our people, while the other person, who sustained gunshot wounds has been referred to Biu general hospital for treatment", he explained.

Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Hawul Council Area, Dr. Andrew Usman Malgwi said, "yes, one of my villages came under attack by Boko Haram sect. I was told that they burnt down two churches and other residential buildings after shooting at some innocent civilians.

US soldiers storm Nigeria to counter Boko Haram
[DAILYPOST.NG] Reports say no fewer than 40 United States soldiers yesterday landed in Nigeria to assist in checkmating the dreaded Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
sect, which has captured more local governments in Yobe, Adamawa and Borno States in the last few months.

New Telegraph quoting informed sources at the Army Headquarters in Abuja reports that the troops were sighted at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ), Abuja spotting combat gear.

Another top military brass disclosed that arrangements have been concluded to bring in Egyptian pilots to fortify the aerial bombardment of captured territories, especially Mubi, which the terrorist group has since renamed, Madinatul Islam.

In the same vein, additional helicopter gunships were believed to have been received to complement troop on ground.

Expressing optimism that the ugly wave of insurgency in the North- East will soon be reversed, one of the sources said, "I can confirm to you that about 40 US military personnel, all in combat gear, have arrived in the country. In fact, they arrived at the DHQ today (yesterday), and I'm sure they met with the military high command, for briefing and other necessary operational issues."

When it was asked if the visiting US troops would be deployed for real combat, another source revealed: "I think their coming might be to boost intelligence gathering and they may not necessarily be ground troops."

Arabia
Yemen protest at ex-strongman sanctions threat
[ARABNEWS] Thousands of supporters of Yemen's ex-president President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh
... Saleh initially took power as a strongman of North Yemen in 1977, when disco was in flower, but he didn't invite Donna Summer to the inauguration and Blondie couldn't make it...
and Iranian catspaws erupted into the streets Friday to protest threatened UN sanctions against the ousted strongman and myrmidon chiefs.

Saleh, who stepped down in early 2012 after a year of Arab Spring-inspired protests, is seen as the main backer of Houthis who have overrun the capital and several other areas since September.

Protesters, many brandishing machine guns, gathered in Tahrir Square in the capital Sanaa, chanting slogans hailing Saleh and condemning Washington for proposing the sanctions, an AFP correspondent reported.

"The people want Ali Abdullah Saleh," they chanted, warning President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi: "We shall not listen to America!"

Saleh's General People's Congress (GPC) party called the protests, warning that any sanctions would exacerbate the crisis in Yemen, which has been gripped by years of instability.

The UN Security Council was set to endorse the US-drafted proposal to slap a visa ban and assets freeze on Saleh and two of his allies, Shiite Huthi rebel commanders Abd Al-Khaliq Al-Huthi and Abdullah Yahya Al-Hakim, diplomats in New York said on Tuesday.

The GPC has accused the US embassy in Sanaa of giving an ultimatum to Saleh to leave by Friday or face sanctions -- a claim that Washington has denied.

Saleh served as Yemen's first president after unification in 1990 but quit under a regional peace plan.

The Houthis fought Saleh while he was in power but the former foes now appear to be allies.

Protesters carried portraits of Saleh along with pictures of rebel leader Abdulmalik Al-Huthi.

Abd Al-Khaliq Al-Huthi is the younger brother of the rebel chief and was among the commanders who oversaw the storming of Sanaa in September.

Hakim is Abdulmalik Al-Huthi's military second-in-command.

The 15 members of the Security Council have until Friday evening to raise objections before the proposal returns to the sanctions committee for action.

Thousands rally against US in Sanaa
Thousands of supporters of Yemen's ousted president and rebels who have overrun the country's capital are rallying in Sanaa, denouncing what they claim to be American "interference" in Yemen's affairs.
Drone-zap 'em. That'll change their tune...
Oh, God! It hurts so bad when they demonstrate against us in... where was it again?
The demonstration comes in the countdown to a Friday night deadline at the UN Security Council for member states to raise objections to imposing sanctions on Yemen's ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh and two key Houthi rebel figures.

The three are blamed for orchestrating Yemen's current unrest. All 15 Security Council members must approve sanctions for them to take effect.

The protesters in Sanaa — in much smaller numbers than usual — carried posters urging the US ambassador to get out of the country. The anti-American Houthis are widely suspected of having strong ties to Iran.

Britain
Four Arrested in Britain over Alleged Islamist Plot
[An Nahar] Police in London said Friday they had placed in durance vile

four men in connection with an alleged Islamist plot, which media reports said was planned for British soil.

The men, aged 19, 22, 25 and 27, were arrested overnight "on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism," Scotland Yard said.

A number of addresses and vehicles are being searched as part of the investigation, which is being carried out in cooperation with the domestic intelligence agency MI5.

"These arrests and searches are part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist-related terrorism," it said.

Media reports said the men were accused of plotting an attack in Britannia. There was no current indication of a link to Syria or the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. group, the BBC added.

Three suspects were detained at addresses in west London and High Wycombe, west of the capital. Armed officers were present at two arrests but no shots were fired, police said.

The eldest suspect was arrested in a car in west London, again by armed officers. All four remain in jug in cop shoppes in central London, the statement said.

Queen murder plot foiled
[STUFF.CO.NZ] A plot to kill Queen Elizabeth has been foiled by British police.

Police have tossed in the clink
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
four Islamic terror suspects who were allegedly been planning to stab the 88-year-old monarch to death at the Royal Albert Hall, The Sun reported.

The Queen had been due to attend the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Hall today and both she and UK Prime Minister David Cameron
... has stated that he is certainly a big Thatcher fan, but I don't know whether that makes me a Thatcherite, which means he's not. Since he is not deeply ideological he lacks core principles and is easily led. He has been described as certainly not a Pitt, Elder or Younger, but he does wear a nice suit so maybe he's Beau Brummel ...
had been informed of the threat, the paper said.

Since Thursday night (local time) armed police had raided several homes in West London and Buckinghamshire, arresting men between the ages of 19 and 27.

The men were held on suspicion of being concerned in the "commission, preparation or instigation" of terrorism under the Terrorism Act 2000, The Sun reported.

The Queen would continue with her plans to attend Remembrance Sunday celebrations at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, central London, amid "unprecedented security".

Despite security fears, she was determined to lead the nation's tribute and lay the first wreath, sources said.

Computers and documents seized from suspects' homes and were being "fast-tracked" for examination.

In a statement Scotland Yard said: "These arrests and searches are part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist related terrorism.

"Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) are working closely with colleagues in the SE Counter Terrorism Unit and MI5."

None of those arrested were believed to have direct links to Syria, but were suspected of being jihadists.

Europe
German police arrest 4 ISIS supporters in raid in Berlin
[Iraq News] On Thursday, the security authorities in Berlin arrested 4 people for allegedly supporting the ISIS group after raiding their apartments in the Schoneberg district.

The four men were arrested on an anti-terror raid in Berlin that aimed at preventing people from carrying out any terrorist attacks in the country. The German authorities raided four apartments in the Schoneberg district and arrested the four elements who are Turkish nationals and suspected of gathering equipment to send in Syria and Iraq.

Noteworthy, Germany officially banned ISIS from any activities in the country last September. Several arrests in Germany came on the back of capturing Islamil Issa, a 24-year-old German citizen who admitted last year that he had returned to Germany last year to buy equipment and supplies such as sports watches, combat trousers and night-vision gear.

French police arrest 200 ISIS cells in Paris
[Iraq News] On Thursday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced that the Iraqi security agencies had collaborated with the French intelligence in an operation leading to the arrest of 200 ISIS cells in Paris.

The French authorities tracked information and phone calls last week that led to the arrest of the sleeper cells.â

#1  I wonder what they will do with them. Can they convict them of much? If so, how long can they hold them? Then what? Might be better to just fly them to Baghdad and let them go, with no 'right of return' or passports. (I don't suppose they could just fly them OVER Baghdad and let them go...)

#2  200 is a nice round number.
No mention of the size or composition of the cells.
I was thinking branch nodes of 3-5 leaves with one as the handler and 2-4 sleeper operatives, perhaps in teams of 3.
That rounds out to 600 heads. There would be a lot more exposure for an event of that size.

Arsonist In Kosher Paris Supermarket Blaze Gets 4 Years In Jail
[IsraelTimes] The four-year prison sentence given to the man who torched a kosher supermarket in suburban Gay Paree "sent an important message," the chief rabbi of La Belle France said.

The Correctional Tribunal of Pontoise near Gay Paree on Oct. 26 sentenced a 27-year-old ambulance driver for setting fire to the Naouri kosher supermarket in Sarcelles, a heavily Jewish suburb of the French capital, on July 20.

Identified in the French media as Abbas C., the driver was given a longer term than the 26 months sought by the prosecutor.

"This sentence reflects the determination of the judiciary to fight anti-Semitic crimes," Rabbi Haim Korsia, the chief rabbi of La Belle France, told JTA on Tuesday.

Korsia added that the French government under President Francois Hollande
...the Socialist president of La Belle France, an economic bad joke for la Belle France but seemingly a foreign policy realist...
and Prime Minister Manuel Valls also was "vigilant and firm" in dealing with anti-Semitism.

Besides arson, Abbas C. was convicted of assaulting coppers, whom he pelted with stones, and the aggravated theft of a television set from a shop whose display window was smashed by rioters on the day of the fire.

The riots had broken out in Sarcelles and elsewhere in Gay Paree that month against Israel's actions in Gazoo during this summer's 50-day operation against Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, in the coastal strip. In some of the disturbances, Jewish individuals and Jewish-owned businesses were targeted, along with nine synagogues throughout La Belle France.

Demonstrators in several of the riots turned against coppers, whom they targeted with stones, metal bars and other projectiles. Several of the culprits have been sentenced to jail time.

The demonstrations took place despite a temporary ban on political protests about Israel.

Another PPP man shot dead in Lyari
[DAWN] KARACHI: Another Pakistain Peoples Party worker was bumped off in Lyari, police and party officials said on Friday.

They said that armed motorcyclists targeted Abdul Hameed, 33, when he was sitting outside his home in Jhatpat Market late on Thursday night.

He was taken to the Civil Hospital Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
where he died during treatment.

SSP-City Sheeraz Nazeer said that the dear departed had a criminal record and he might have been killed by gangsters.

However,
ars longa, vita brevis...
a spokesperson for the city chapter of the PPP, Latif Mughal, claimed that deceased Hameed was an 'active' worker of the party in Lyari.

He was the sixth party worker killed in Lyari
...one of the eighteen constituent towns of the city of Karachi. It is the smallest town by area in the city but also the most densely populated. Lyari has few schools, substandard hospitals, a poor water system, limited infrastructure, and broken roads. It is a stronghold of ruling Pakistan Peoples Party. Ubiquitous gang activity and a thriving narcotics industry make Lyari one of the most disturbed places in Karachi, which is really saying a lot....
within a week, he added.

"Gangsters have started targeting PPP workers in Lyari after the party's rally in Karachi on Oct 18," said Mr Mughal. Five PPP workers, including two former councillors, were earlier rubbed out in Lyari.

PPP leader Waqar Mehdi told Dawn that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had taken serious notice of the PPP men's killings. He said that since 2008 over 550 party workers had been killed mostly on political grounds.

However,
ars longa, vita brevis...
he claimed that some of the alleged killers had been jugged

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Riots Erupt In Jerusalem As Thousands Mourn Slain Terrorist
[IsraelTimes] Thousands of East Jerusalem residents took part in a symbolic funeral Friday for terrorist Ibrahim al-Akary, who plowed into pedestrians at a light rail station along the seam-line between East and West Jerusalem on Wednesday, killing a border policeman and a 17-year-old yeshiva student and injuring a dozen others.

Participants in the procession in the Shuafat neighbourhood, which followed Friday prayers, held signs which called al-Akary a "hero martyr" and urged Paleostinians to "Keep on killing soldiers," according to Ynet News.

Several violent incidents were reported in wake of the event, with some rioters hurling rocks and Molotov cocktails at security forces stationed in the area. Rock throwing and Molotov cocktails were also reported near the West Bank towns of Ramallah and Hebron.

Jerusalem on the boil over Al Aqsa
Palestinian protesters fought with Israeli security forces in occupied East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank on Friday, the latest clashes in a fortnight of violence over access to Jerusalem's holiest site.

At the Qalandia checkpoint separating Ramallah from Jerusalem, troops fired rubber bullets as several hundred protesters marched, some throwing rocks and petrol bombs.
In East Jerusalem, police fired teargas to disperse protesters hurling firecrackers and burning tyres that sent up huge clouds of black smoke in Shoafat refugee camp.

Israeli security forces have clashed at Al Aqsa compound with Muslim worshippers angry at what they see as an assault on the shrine, which is administered by Islamic authorities, and last week Israel shut down all access to the site for the first time in more than a decade, after a Palestinian gunman shot an Israeli ultranationalist. Palestinian drivers have rammed into Israeli pedestrians in the city, killing four people.

The EU's new foreign affairs chief said the upsurge in violence made it all the more critical that Israel and the Palestinians resume peace negotiations. "The risk of growing tensions here in Jerusalem ... is that, if we do not move forward on the political track, we will go back, and back again to violence," Federica Mogherini told reporters after meeting Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman during her first official visit to the region.

At the same time as calling for calm, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas of instigating the violence. An official said Netanyahu had sought judicial authorisation to raze the homes of Palestinians involved in lethal attacks against Israelis.

Fatah blames Hamas for Gaza attacks
Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas's Fatah movement said it held Islamist group Hamas responsible for a wave of bomb attacks against the homes of Fatah leaders in Gaza on Friday.
Not that they disapprove...
"The Fatah central committee condemns the crimes which took place this morning against its leaders and lays the responsiblity for these crimes upon Hamas," senior Fatah official Nasser Al Qidwa told a news conference in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
"Please don't bomb us you evil Zionists!"
Hussein Al Sheikh, another member of the Fatah leadership, said he had "no doubt of the fact that Hamas bears the responsibility for what happened to Fatah leaders in Gaza."

At least 10 explosions hit houses and cars belonging to senior Fatah members but no  casualties were reported. Hamas ousted Abbas loyalists from Gaza in 2007 and rival administrations ruled in the West Bank and Gaza.

But earlier this year Hamas and Fatah struck a reconciliation agreement leading to the formation of a government of national unity.

Hamas was quick to condemn Friday's pre-dawn attacks but Fatah official Azzam Al Ahmad, in charge of his party's reconciliation team, said that "does not absolve Hamas from bearing full responsibility."

"Before last night there were signals and declarations by Hamas against Fatah and Mahmud Abbas, of which the most significant was that of a group of Hamas military officials who said they were going to torpedo planned  commemorations of the death of president Yasser Arafat," he said.

It is the first time in years that a public commemoration of the iconic Palestinian leader and Fatah founder's death has been planned in Gaza.

#1  That's interesting. Could it be that during the last Gaza conflict the IDF targeted the homes of Hamas officials, deliberately leaving the homes of Fatah officials standing? We are now seeing the backlash - a clever stroke to undermine attempts at re-unity.

#3  Could it be that during the last Gaza conflict the IDF targeted the homes of Hamas officials, deliberately leaving the homes of Fatah officials standing?

It seems to me that the IDF targetted the homes of those involved in the conflict, ie. Hamas and a few others, and left strictly alone those not causing trouble, ie. Fatah, Incredulous.

#4  Targeting those involved in fighting against you (Hamas) is a legitimate military operation; targeting uninvolved civilians (Fatah) is a war crime. It is a stretch to consider that Israel did the former and not the latter for some political purpose.

#5  I get that the IDF is an ethical outfit (got it), but they are also very strategic. Netanyahu is now demolishing the homes of terrorists in East Jerusalem, those driving cars into crowds, as a disincentive. It's a laudable and valid tactic. It's not a stretch for the Israeli intelligence services to work to undermine Hamas/Fatah unity. Recall the reunification gestures during Protective Edge? If this is not happening then it should be.

In fact, it used to be agreed that any geographical area that wasn't ethnic and culturally homogeneous was basically ungovernable. Not. But it's still considered 'racist' to point out the obvious.

Gunmen in New Attempt to Stir Unrest in Arsal
[An Nahar] Acts of sabotage and armed violence have been on the rise in recent weeks in the Bekaa border town of Arsal, where gunnies are trying to "take back the town to the atmosphere of August 2."

"Since three days, masked gunnies have been shooting at surveillance cameras in the main and side streets and public squares of Arsal," state-run National News Agency reported on Friday.

The gunnies are "moving on cycle of violences and using pump-action rifles," said NNA.

"There are also intentions to carry out systematic operations involving kidnap and murder," NNA added.

It noted that there have been "several attempts to turn the clock back in Arsal and revive the atmosphere that prevailed on August 2," when Death Eaters from the Qaeda-linked al-Nusra

French Jihadist Describes Role in Lebanon Attack Plan
[An Nahar] A French jihadist has described in court documents his path from the suburbs of Gay Paree to Leb's capital Beirut where he was planning an attack on Shiite Moslems.

Jean-Pierre Fayez Yusef Bushran, originally from the Comoros islands, disclosed his journey in court documents seen by Agence La Belle France-Presse on Friday. He is also charged with membership of the Islamic State

group (IS) and preparing a suicide kaboom.

The documents said Bushran, 24, had been living in the southwestern Gay Paree suburb of Trappes, and had studied with a holy man "who encouraged me to undertake jihad."

Bushran said he had followed the conflict in Syria, where anti-government protests that erupted in March 2011 against Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Lord of the Baath...
spiraled into bloody civil war.

"I saw what is happening in Syria in terms of crimes against the Moslems and the signs that the Day of Resurrection is coming soon," the documents quoted him as saying.

"And I became convinced to go to Syria to fight for God and the Moslems."

Bushran said he reached out via Facebook to someone publishing "jihadist news" and was told to travel from Germany or Spain to Turkey, rather than from La Belle France, to prevent detection.

He flew from Frankfurt to Turkey, where he stayed in a safe house in Gazientep with 20 other young men.

They received religious lessons and trained for 20 days before being taken to Raqa, the IS stronghold in the Syrian province of the same name.

Bushran said he was eager to carry out a "martyrdom operation" and was assigned to carry out a suicide kaboom against Shiites in Leb.

Leb's Shiite Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
is a close ally of the Syrian regime and has sent its forces to bolster Assad against the Sunni-dominated uprising there.

Hizbullah's role in Syria has made it a regular target for attacks by Sunni Moslem murderous Moslem groups in Leb.

Bushran was given $2,000 (1,600 euros) as expenses and went to Beirut where he checked into a hotel and communicated with a Lebanese contact.

He was told his mission would be to detonate an boom belt in a public place, but before he received his final orders, his Syrian handler asked him to return to Turkey, saying "problems had led to the operation being canceled."

Lebanese security forces raided the Napoleon Hotel in Beirut's Hamra district on June 20, arresting Bushran before he could flee.

Five days later, security forces raided another Beirut hotel and jugged
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
a Saudi man. During that raid, the Saudi's accomplice went kaboom!, killing himself and wounding 10 people.

Bushran, the Saudi and 15 other people, only seven of whom are in jug, now face charges of belonging to IS and planning suicide attacks.

Army Nabs Several Suspects as Crackdown on Offenders Continues
[An Nahar] The army continued on Friday clamping down on offenders across Leb, detaining several suspects linked to terror acts, the military command said in a statement.

An army unit raided Syrian encampments in the Zgharta town of Meryata, arresting ten Syrians who entered the country illegally.

A communique issued by the army said that a unit also confiscated a Mitsubishi Jeep that was used during the latest festivities in the northern coastal city of Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
An explosive detonator was found in the vehicle.

The statement added that the army detained in the town of Abdeh in the northern district of Akkar two Lebanese nationals identified as Mahmoud Moustapha Malas and Mohammed Moustapha Malas over their involvement in a shooting at soldiers in the area.

Bilal Hussein al-Masri was also locked away
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
in Bhanine on the suspicion of involvement in terror acts, while Mohammed Motasem al-Itr was detained in Tripoli's al-Bohsas for wounding a civilian and a soldier in a shooting.

The army's communique said that the detainees were handed over to the competent authorities.

Several other Syrians were detained in a raid on campsites in the town of Qaroun in the Western Bekaa Valley.

The army has come under growing attacks across Leb by bandidos gunnies who accuse it of colluding with Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
in its intervention in the Syrian conflict on the side of the regime.

It has been carrying out a major crackdown in the southern city of Sidon, the northern city of Tripoli and Minieh for the past two weeks, in the wake of unprecedented festivities with Islamist bandidos gunnies in Tripoli's old souks and Bab al-Tabbaneh which spread to the nearby town of Bhannine in Minieh.

Fresh infighting erupts among Takfiris militants in Syria
[Iran Press TV] Fresh infighting has broken out between different Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
murderous Moslem groups operating in Syria, with the al-Qaeda-affiliated turbans making gains against their rivals.

The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Friday that the Takfiri Death Eaters belonging to the terrorist al-Nusra
...the current nom de guerre of al-Qaeda in the Levant, which isn't to be confused with al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Levant...
Front have seized three villages from other rival Death Eaters in the northwestern Syrian province of Idlib.

"Around 70 percent of the territory controlled by rebels in Idlib is now in the hands of al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
," said Rami Abdul Rahman, the head of the UK-based group.

Reports say the villages of Safhun, al-Futira and Hazareen, which were under the control of the so-called Hazzm Movement that receives weapons from the US, have fallen to the al-Nusra terrorists.

It is also yet to be confirmed if al-Nusra has managed to capture the US-made TOW anti-tank missiles from the murderous Moslem group.

Infighting has plagued murderous Moslem groups operating against the Syrian government as the army continues to make more gains against the foreign-backed forces of Evil on several fronts.
