Somali Forces Recapture Last Major Port Held by al-Shabab
[VOA News] Somali officials say about 1,000 Somali forces and African peacekeepers have retaken the southern port of Barawe, the last major port held by Islamist al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
fighters.

The key port, located 240 kilometers south of the capital, Mogadishu, had been held by al-Shabaab since 2008. The snuffies controlled the port to export $25 million worth of charcoal a year to Persian Gulf countries, which they used to fund their fight against the internationally backed government.

Somali military official Abdi Mire said Sunday government forces are "in full control" of Barawe. Authorities said the al-Shabaab Death Eaters fled by land and sea as the government troops approached the city.

The loss of Barawe comes just a month after al-Shabaab's supreme leader, Ahmed Abdi Godane, was killed in a U.S. drone and aircraft strike.

An al-Shabaab commander, Mohammed Abu Abdallah, vowed Saturday that even if the snuffies lost Barawe, they would continue their attacks on Somali troops and the peacekeeping forces drawn from six African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
nations.

While controlling Barawe, al-Shabaab applied its strict interpretation of Islamic sharia law, ordering executions, floggings and amputations for various crimes.

Sinai Militants Execute Another Four For Collaborating With Israel
[Ynet] The filmed killings reminds of IS beheadings though Sinai bully boyz are not believed to be officially affiliated to Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
. However, Ansar commander said Islamic State had been advising them on how to operate more effectively.

The salafi organization Ansar Bait al-Maqdis operating in Sinai published a video on Sunday of an execution of four men suspected of collaborating with Israeli Mossad and Egyptian army. Three of the men had their heads chopped off.

In the video the voice of Islamic State leader is heard and photos were shown of Ansar Bait al-Maqdis bully boyz destroying the homes of people suspected of collaboration. One of the organization's seniors was heard criticizing the Egyptian army for "cooperating with the Jews and in fact neglecting the country's defense".

"These are your sons, continuing to harvest the spies of the Jews," a front man for the group says in the video.

The gruesome footage shows the three men confessing before being decapitated by masked men. Their detached heads are then placed on their backs.

A fourth man, shown confessing to being an informant for the Egyptian military, is then mown down by bullets.

The filmed killings were reminiscent of images posted on the Internet by Islamic State, which has seized large parts of Iraq and Syria. The footage also included a clip from a recent speech by Islamic State's front man, suggesting that Egyptian bully boyz were increasingly inspired by the al Qaeda-offshoot now notorious for summary executions and beheadings.

Islamic State has attracted a following from Egyptian Islamists on social media sites. Egyptian security sources estimate that up to 8,000 Egyptians are fighting abroad with holy warrior groups such as Islamic State and al Qaeda.

At home, Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis
...Supporters of Jerusalem, the current pen name of al-Qaeda in the Sinai Peninsula...
has become a major security problem for the government, killing scores of police and soldiers in the increasingly lawless Sinai Peninsula, which is bounded by Israel, the Gazoo Strip and the Suez Canal, one of the world's most important shipping routes.

Though the Sinai bully boyz are not believed to be officially affiliated to Islamic State, an Ansar commander told Rooters last month that Islamic State had been advising them on how to operate more effectively.

Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis said in August that it had beheaded four Egyptians for providing Israel with intelligence for an air strike that killed three of its fighters. It posted footage of the killings on Twitter.

Last month, Sinai residents said they had found a beheaded corpse bearing a note signed by the group, accusing the victim of being an Israeli spy.

Egyptian Police Arrest Militants Accused Of Recruiting For Islamic State
[Ynet] Egyptian police have placed in durance vile

, the Mena state news agency said.
... and if you can't believe the state news agency who can you believe?
Mena reported that the men were arrested in the Mediterranean city of Port Said on Sunday and confessed to being part of an eight-strong cell, with the four remaining members currently in Syria. The men are being held pending investigation, Mena added.

Islamic State, which has declared a cross-border caliphate in Iraq and Syria, has attracted a following among Egyptian Islamists on social media sites. Egyptian security sources estimate that up to 8,000 Egyptians are fighting abroad with Lion of Islam groups such as Islamic State and al Qaeda.

Newly Discovered Mass Grave Linked to Missing Mexican Students
[TIME] A mass grave with an unconfirmed number of bodies was discovered in a part of Mexico near to where 43 college students were kidnapped, authorities announced Saturday night.

Guerrero State Attorney General Iñaky Blanco said there was a connection between the burial site and the students' disappearance from a teachers' college the previous weekend, the Wall Street Journal reports. However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth...
Blanco said it would be "irresponsible" without DNA tests to confirm that the bodies were the missing students.

Mexico's Proceso, citing anonymous sources, reported that 20 bodies had been discovered. The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reports that six pits had been discovered but did not report a body count.

The students disappeared after clashing with police during a protest that turned violent. Officials have detained 30 people, including 22 coppers, in the case. Blanco said that a small-time Mister Big organization, Los Guerreros Unidos, was connected with the violence and the disappearances.

Suicide Bomber In Chechnya Kills 4 Policemen
[Ynet] A jacket wallah went kaboom! Sunday in the capital of Chechnya, killing four coppers and wounding at least three others as the city celebrated the birthday of its pro-Kremlin leader, officials said.

The Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, told journalists at the scene that the suicide bomber was wearing a police uniform and presented police identification when he tried to go through metal detectors set up outside a concert hall in Grozny, the capital. When police moved to stop him, he detonated the explosives, Kadyrov said.

Several ambulances were seen leaving the site, which was blocked off by police.

Bombing in Chechnya leaves 5 policemen dead
[Iran Press TV] Five coppers have been killed and 12 others maimed after a bomber went kaboom! in the capital city of the southern Russian Republic of Chechnya, Russian Sherlocks say.

A 19-year-old resident of Chechnya is believed to be the attacker, the statement added.

Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, has been quoted as saying that the bomber, who was wearing a police uniform, detonated the explosives when police moved to stop him from going through metal detectors outside the concert hall.

The incident reportedly occurred several hours before the beginning of the concert, which coincided with Kadyrov's birthday.

He said the bomber "wanted to ruin people's joy on their day of celebration, but he has not succeeded."

Meanwhile,
...back at the the conspirators' cleverly concealed hideout Montefiore's foot was still stuck and the hound had completely soaked his uniform with slobber...
Russia's Internal Affairs Ministry noted that there were no immediate reports of civilian deaths or injuries.

"At the cost of their lives, the police saved the lives of thousands of people," Russia's ITAR-TASS news agency quoted Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev as saying.

Pakistani Taliban declare allegiance to Islamic State and global jihad
The Pakistani Taliban declared allegiance to Islamic State on Saturday and ordered militants across the region to help the Middle Eastern jihadist group in its campaign to set up a global Islamic caliphate, Reuters reported.
Allegiance? They're so related to each other they should take blood tests...
Islamic State, which controls swathes of land in Syria and Iraq, has been making inroads into South Asia, which has traditionally been dominated by local Taliban insurgencies against both the Pakistan and Afghanistan governments.

The announcement comes after a September move by al Qaeda chief, Ayman al-Zawahri, to name former Taliban commander Asim Umar as the "emir" of a new South Asia branch of the network that masterminded the 2001 attacks on the United States.

Although there is little evidence of a firm alliance yet between IS and al Qaeda-linked Taliban commanders, IS activists have been spotted recently in the Pakistani city of Peshawar distributing pamphlets praising the group. IS flags have also been seen at street rallies in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Indians need to stamp this nonsense out quickly...
In a message marking the Muslim holy festival of Eid al-Adha, the Pakistani Taliban said they fully supported IS goals.

"Oh our brothers, we are proud of you in your victories. We are with you in your happiness and your sorrow," Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said in a statement sent to Reuters by email from an unknown location.

"In these troubled days, we call for your patience and stability, especially now that all your enemies are united against you. Please put all your rivalries behind you ...

"All Muslims in the world have great expectations of you ... We are with you, we will provide you with Mujahideen (fighters) and with every possible support."

The statement, released in Urdu, Pashto and Arabic, was sent after Islamic State militants beheaded British aid worker Alan Henning in a video posted on Friday, triggering condemnation by the British and U.S. governments. It also came despite recent speculation that the Taliban leadership, whose goal is to topple the government and set up a Sharia state, is actually wary of IS, which is driven by different ambitions that have little to do with South Asia.

The Pakistani Taliban, funded by local as well as foreign charity donations from wealthy supporters in the Gulf and elsewhere, operate separately from the Afghan insurgents of the same name, but are loosely aligned with them.

There are concerns about further turmoil in the region as most U.S.-led foreign troops withdraw from Afghanistan this year, with groups like the Haqqani network likely to exploit the security vacuum to strengthen their hold on Afghan regions. The Haqqani network, despite being based in Pakistan, is narrowly focused on its insurgency in Afghanistan and has not commented on IS-related developments.

The Pakistani Taliban have been beset by bitter internal rivalries over the past year, with the influential Mehsud tribal faction of the group refusing to accept the authority of Mullah Fazlullah, who came to power in late 2013.

IS, in an effort to extend its global reach, could exploit these rivalries to its advantage, wading into a region ripe with fierce anti-Western ideology and full of young unemployed men ready to take up guns and fight for Islam.

Pakistan police kill seven Taleban militants in Karachi
[ARABNEWS] Pakistain police on Sunday killed seven Taliban bandidos myrmidons during a raid in the port city of Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
, police said.

The encounter took place in the Sohrab Goth area on the outskirts of the city after police received intelligence information about the presence of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) bandidos myrmidons in a compound there.

"There were up to 16 TTP gunnies present in the house when we raided it," senior local police official Rao Anwar said.

He said the raid triggered a shootout, killing seven myrmidons, adding that three of them were involved in the liquidation of a senior Karachi police official Chaudhry Aslam in January this year.

"These three Death Eaters, who had fled to another country after Aslam's murder but returned home just recently, were experts of making bombs and boom jackets," Anwar said.

Police were trying to identify the four others who were killed. At least seven gunnies fled during the shootout, he said.

The raid came two weeks after a senior police official Farooq Awan, who has been a key player in the police's fight against terrorist groups in the city since 2001, survived a car kaboom in Karachi.

Karachi, a city of 18 million people, which contributes 42 percent of Pakistain's GDP, has been plagued by sectarian, ethnic and political violence for years.

Drone strike kills five in South Waziristan
[DAWN] A suspected US drone strike in South Wazoo tribal region's Shawal area on Sunday killed at least five persons.

Official sources say the drone fired two missiles on a compound in Kand Ghar area of Shawal district, which stretches across both North and South Waziristan tribal regions.

Some local sources said that a high level target is among those killed in the attack but the identity is yet to be ascertained.

The drones reportedly hovered above the area for some time, causing panic and fear among the locals.

These details could not be independently verified since the media's access is severely restricted in the troubled region.

Mastermind of Chaudhry Aslam attack killed, police claim
[DAWN] Police on Sunday claimed to have killed seven suspected Lions of Islam including the alleged criminal mastermind and controllers of the attack on CID SP Chaudhry Aslam in January in a raid conducted in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
's Ayub Goth area near Saudabad.

SSP Malir Rao Anwar Ahmed Khan said that acting on a tip-off regarding the presence of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) Lions of Islam police cordoned off Ayub Goth in Karachi's Malir district and conducted a raid in the area. The raiding party came under attack, as Lions of Islam opened fire and hurled hand grenades, he added.

"There were up to 16 TTP Lions of Islam present in the house when we raided it," Anwar told AFP.

He said that police resorted to retaliatory firing during which seven suspected Lions of Islam were killed. No law enforcer was harmed during the raid.

SSP Rao Anwar said that three of the seven suspected Lions of Islam had been identified. They included a brother of the jacket wallah who had attacked SP Chaudhry Aslam at the Lyari
...one of the eighteen constituent towns of the city of Karachi. It is the smallest town by area in the city but also the most densely populated. Lyari has few schools, substandard hospitals, a poor water system, limited infrastructure, and broken roads. It is a stronghold of ruling Pakistan Peoples Party. Ubiquitous gang activity and a thriving narcotics industry make Lyari one of the most disturbed places in Karachi, which is really saying a lot....
Expressway in Karachi, another Lion of Islam who had conducted reconnaissance for the attack and was in contact with the Taliban leadership, and another suspect who had supplied the explosive-laden vehicle for the attack.

"These three Lion of Islams, who had fled to Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
after Aslam's murder but returned home just recently, were experts of making bombs and boom jackets," Anwar said.

Police were trying to identify the four others who were killed. At least seven Lions of Islam fled during the shootout, he said.

The Mohmand agency chapter of the TTP had grabbed credit for the January 9 attack in Karachi's Essa Nagri which killed three police officials including Aslam and maimed at least ten others.

SP Mohammad Aslam Khan, better known as Chaudhry Aslam, was a household name for those who were aware of the city police one way or another.

With 30 years of service in Karachi police, SP Khan was a symbol of success for many and of hatred for others.

The raid came two weeks after a senior police official Farooq Awan, who has been a key player in the police's fight against terrorist groups in the city since 2001, survived a car kaboom in Karachi.

Karachi, a city of 18 million people which contributes 42 per cent of Pakistain's GDP, has been plagued by sectarian, ethnic and political violence for years.

Six die in blast at Kohat taxi stand
[DAWN] Six people were killed and 17 others injured in a remote-controlled blast at a taxi stand here on Saturday, officials said.

An improvised bomb containing ball bearings and weighing about three kilograms was kept in a ghee tin, they said, adding that murderous Moslems left the tin near a wall of the taxi stand at Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
Mor.

The Suzuki pick-up stand is mainly used by residents of Shia-dominated villages along the Hangu Road.

The blast occurred at around 11am, killing six people and injuring 17 others. The bodies and the injured were taken to the nearby Liaquat Memorial Hospital.

Three vehicles parked at the stand were damaged by the impact of the kaboom and traffic on Hangu Road and Peshawar Road remained suspended for quite some time.

Police cordoned off the scene of the kaboom and called in the bomb disposal squad personnel who inspected the devastation and confirmed the IED had been planted in the ghee tin.

The local administration declared emergency at all hospitals in Kohat after the blast.

Bodies were handed over to relatives and later buried in Ustarzai, Alizai, Kachai and Chakarkot villages.

No group grabbed credit for the bomb kaboom.

The dear departed were identified as Shabbir Ali, Qambar Abbas, Mehtab Hussain, Taimoor, Syed Shahzain Hussain and Emman.

The injured were Mohammad Hussain, Sajid Fareed, Shahzia, Mudassir, Shahan Hussain, Nusrat Hussain, Hassan Jan, Amir Hamza, Tahir Ali, Said Mohammad, Roohullah, Mohammad Hussain, Qasim, Sajid Ali, Ali Ghulam Mustafa, Salma and Baz Mohammad.

The city police started the paperwork but haven't done much else against unidentified murderous Moslems under sections 302, 324 and 427 and Explosives Act and Anti-Terrorism Act.

Fourteen people were killed and 16 injured when a bomb went off at the same place on Feb 23, 2014.

AFP adds: Fazal Khaliq, head of the emergency department at Kohat's main government hospital, confirmed the corpse count.

It is the second attack on a passenger vehicle to hit northwest Pakistain in a week.

On Thursday, a kaboom on a coach in Peshawar killed at least seven people and maimed another six.

Indian troops resort to unprovoked firing at LoC: ISPR
[DAWN] Indian troops violated the Line of Control (loC) ceasefire Sunday morning and resorted to unprovoked firing in Jandroot Sector near Kotli, a military statement said.
Shootout in Srinagar in three days or less...
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pak troops responded effectively to the Indian firing.

Last month, military sources reported firing by Indian troops at Pak posts across the LoC in the Nakial sector near Kotli and the Bajwat sector of the Sialkot working boundary.

The ISPR had earlier also said that Indian troops had fired in the Poonch sector along the LoC by using mortar and other heavy weapons which had been strongly responded by Pak troops.

In December last year, Pakistain and India had pledged to uphold the 2003 LoC ceasefire accord which had been left in tatters by repeated violations that year. The truce breaches had put the nascent bilateral peace dialogue on hold.

Know more: UN calls for Pak-India talks

The directors general of military operations (DGMOs) of the two countries had agreed to a number of steps to keep the ceasefire accord intact.

The meeting had taken place on the initiative of the politicianship of the two countries for ending tensions along the LoC.

The Himalayan territory of Kashmire is divided between India and Pakistain by the UN-monitored de facto border of LoC but is claimed in full by both the countries.

Ceasefire violations along the LoC and working boundary between Pakistain and India continue intermittently, with casualties reported on both sides.

Official sources say unprovoked firing by Indian troops on the working boundary has been continuing for the past many weeks.

IDF Opens Fire On Infiltrators On Lebanese Border
[Ynet] IDF gunfire reportedly wounds Lebanese soldier on border after army says infiltrators cross into Israel; group fled back into Leb, incident under investigation.

The IDF said Sunday that troops shot up a number of suspects who crossed into Israeli-controlled territory from neighboring Leb, while reports in Leb said the group was Lebanese soldiers. One person was maimed during the altercation with the IDF.

There were conflicting reports about the shooting in the Shebaa farms area, a disputed zone along the frontier between Leb and Israel. The UN peacekeeping force in Leb, UNIFIL, said it was aware of the reports and was investigating.

"An IDF force on operational duty identified a cell crossing the (Blue Line) border. The force opened fired with light weapons, hitting one of the suspects," an IDF front man said. "The cell escaped north into Lebanese territory, and the incident is being investigated." The army did not say whether the suspects were snuffies or civilians, or where exactly the incident occurred.

The Lebanese military said an army outpost came under Israeli fire, lightly wounding one soldier. It said in a statement that the army dispatched mobile units to take the appropriate defensive measures.

The group, the IDF claimed, was made up of two or three people and they crossed the Har Dov area ‐ where there is no border fence. After an IDF forces identified them, the forces opened fire and according to the IDF the infiltrators did not return fire.

The IDF described the suspects as a "squad," but wouldn't say whether they were Lebanese troops or fighters from the murderous Moslem Hezbollah group.

Lebanese media reports made contradictory claims, saying the two sides exchanged fire. The reports also said the IDF targeted a Lebanese military position near Har Dov, prompting the army forces to return fire.

The Hezbollah-affiliated news network Al Manar said that a Lebanese's soldier was maimed in the incident and taken to a local hospital. The report further blamed the IDF for the incident and claimed the IDF were attempting to reach the A-Sadna area and the incident began when Lebanese forces attempted to stop them.

A security source in Leb told Al Nahar that the incident has been reported to UNIFIL and that calm has been restored in the area.

Israel fought Hezbollah snuffies during a month-long war in 2006. Since then, the sides have observed a truce, although smaller murderous Moslem groups have occasionally fired rockets into Israel.

the al-Qaeda linked Nusra Front Syrian rebel group said Sunday it has managed to take over a strategic area on the outskirts of Quneitra, not far from the border with Israel, in southern Syria.

Huge Explosion at Iranian Explosives Plant
(h/t Instapundit)
Two people were killed in an explosion at a defense ministry plant east of Tehran for the production of explosives, Iran’s state news agency IRNA reported Monday.

The BBC, citing a report from the semi-official Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), reported on Monday that the incident happened in an “explosive materials production unit” at the site south-east of the capital Tehran.

According to ISNA the blast was so powerful it shattered windows up to 12 kilometers away and the glare from the explosion lit up the night sky.
Broken windows 12 km away? That's a heckuva gas pipeline leak!

Nuclear experts from the IAEA were due to hold talks Tuesday in Tehran to try and resolve outstanding issues regarding Iran’s disputed atomic program.
This is one way to prevent inspections, I guess.

Hezbollah Clashes With IS-Linked Rebels, As Nusra Makes Gains
[Ynet] Lebanese media have reported that Hezbollah has managed to retake control over an area in which heavy festivities were reported between the group and holy warriors linked to the Islamic State

Reports said that some 16 people were killed in the festivities, including two Hezbollah fighters.

Al-Qaeda linked Nusra Front takes control of area close to Israeli border, making headways in southern Syria.

Hezbollah clashed with hundreds of Sunni Islamist bandidos turbans trying to capture land in a mountainous area near the border with Syria on Sunday and both sides suffered casualties, security sources said, as the al-Qaeda linked Nusra Front made gains near the border with Israel.

The bandidos turbans clashing with Hezbollah, linked to the krazed killer group Islamic State and al-Qaeda's Syria wing - the Nusra Front - launched a major offensive on Hezbollah-controlled areas near the Lebanese border town of Arsal, the sources said. Hezbollah had called on fighters to mobilize to defend the area, they added.

the al-Qaeda linked Syrian rebel group said Sunday it has managed to take over a strategic area on the outskirts of Quneitra, not far from the border with Israel, in southern Syria.

The Nusra Front, said it captured the Al-Harra area along with other rebel groups. The news came as US-led Arclight airstrikes targeted forces affiliated with the Islamic State group in eastern Syria, highlighting the wide scope of the Syrian conflict.

In recent months the Quneitra area has been scene to massive festivities between the Syrian regime and rebel groups.

According to Syrian opposition officials, the al-Qaeda-linked group's takeover of the area essentially opens up the most important routes connecting the western and northern outskirts of Daraa and the southern outskirts of Quneitra.

The New York Times

quoted a senior IDF official who said Israel's main concern was upholding the 1974 ceasefire agreement with Syria, "if there's no sovereign military on the other side."

"Now we're planning for a different type of threat. The terror and Islamic Lion of Islam threat," he said.

The IDF would not provide details on spillover of fire from the Syrian Golan to the Israeli side, but noted there were less than 100 such cases.

Hezbollah, Islamic State festivities

at least 16 Sunni Moslem bandidos turbans from the Nusra Front were killed in festivities with fighters from Hezbollah in eastern Leb on Sunday, a source close to Hezbollah said.

"There are at least 16 dead from Nusra Front," the source said, adding that Hezbollah fighters from other parts of Leb had gone to defend the area.

Hezbollah clashed with rebels from the Islamic State group and the Nusra Front trying to capture land in a near the border between Syria and Leb, and both sides suffered casualties, sources said.

Lebanese media outlets reported the heavy fighting between Hezbollah soldiers and Islamic State and Nusra holy warriors in the Leb Valley area (Beqaa Valley). Lebanese media said that the festivities erupted following Nusra Front krazed killers' attempt to infiltrate Leb from Syria.

Two Hezbollah fighters were killed and at least eight of the turbans, the sources added. Violence from Syria has often spread into Arsal and surrounding areas, where the Lebanese army has also battled turbans.

In August Islamic State and Nusra Front fighters stormed Arsal in the worst spillover of Syria's war into its neighbour to date, killing and capturing members of the Lebanese military. They have since killed at least three of the captive soldiers.

bandidos hard boyz on Sunday shelled a beleaguered Syrian Kurdish town near the border with Turkey, sending smoke billowing into the sky as Kurdish Death Eaters scrambled to repel the murderous Moslems' offensive, activists said.

The Islamic State group has pushed to the outskirts of the town of Kobani, also known as Ayn Arab, as it presses its weeks-long offensive against the town and its surrounding villages.

Five Fighters From Hizbullah Killed, Dozens Of IS/al Nusra Gunmen Died During Repel Attack In Outskirts Of Brital
After reading the story above from Ynet, here is the view from Lebanon, a reminder that what is seen depends on who is looking:
[AnNahar] Five members of Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
were killed and dozens of gunnies died in festivities that erupted on Sunday between them in the outskirts of Brital.

Gunmen came from al-Kalamoun and attacked a Hizbullah position in the outskirts of Brital, that summoned Hizbullah to bring additional reinforcements for its fighters and an alert in the army's position in Brital.

MTV explains that the attack was on a Hizbullah position named Ain al-Saat position and that al-Nusra
...the current nom de guerre of al-Qaeda in the Levant, which isn't to be confused with al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Levant...
gunnies came from Assal al-Ward

"Hizbullah 'thwarted the attack' and two of their fighters died and others injured, while al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
has dozens of dead and injured fighters," it added.

Sunday night a Hezbollah security official, speaking to AFP on condition of anonymity, confirmed the deaths of five fighters after festivities around the town of Nabi Sbat in eastern Leb.

Several media reported that Mohammed Khalid Hamza Suhaib, a leader in al-Nura front, died after the festivities in the outskirts of Brital and his corpse was transported to al-Rahmat hospital in Arsal.

"Hizbullah posts in the mountains around al-Nabi Sabat, east of Baalbek, were attacked by gangs who came from Qalamun" in Syria, a Hizbullah source told AFP.

"Hizbullah returned fire, inflicting heavy losses among the attackers," it added.

Residents from al-Nabi Sabat who fled the fighting told AFP they saw Hizbullah convoys picking up several maimed fighters from the group during the festivities.

Al-Mayadeen stated that the goal of the gunnies who tried to infiltrate the eastern mountain range is to open a gap between the outskirts of al-Qalamun and al-Zabadani.

According to al-Manar, Hizbullah killed dozens of bully boyz and maimed others in Ain al-Saat and was able to take them out of the eastern mountain range.

"Cautious calmness dominates on the areas which witnessed festivities in the eastern mountain range," it added.

LBCI stated that, "the gunnies attacked a Hizbullah position in the outskirts of Brital, in the eastern mountain range, where violent festivities took place."

"A group of the IS attacked a Hizbullah position in al-Mahafer in the outskirts of Brital and injuries from both sided were recorded," it added.

VDL stated that Syrian gunnies dominated for 30 minutes on the Hizbullah position in the outskirts of Brital, but they withdrew afterward.

After few minutes LBCI said: "The festivities expanded between Hizbullah and the IS to Younine in the outskirts of Baalbek and Hizbullah brought in reinforcements and a number of civilians participated in the fight."

"Hizbullah used 'an intense firing strategy' to force the bully boyz to withdraw after they had came from several destinations of the eastern mountain range," VDL added.

According to VDL, the army announced an alert in its positions in Brital and Hawr Taala and declared that its units didn't intervene in the clash.

Kurdish woman suicide bomber attacks IS in Syria
[TIMESOFINDIA.INDIATIMES] A female Kurdish fighter carried out a suicide kaboom against jihadists from the Islamic State

group outside the embattled Syrian border town of Kobane on Sunday, a monitor said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the woman blew herself up at an Islamic State position east of the city, killing a number of jihadists who have surrounded Kobane and are battling to seize it.

"The operation caused deaths, but there is no confirmed number," Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman said.

He said it was the first reported instance of a female Kurdish fighter carrying out a suicide kaboom against the Islamic State group, which has itself often favoured the tactic.

IS began its advance on Kobane, Syria's third largest Kurdish town, on September 16, seeking to cement its grip over a long stretch of the Syria-Turkey border.

The fighting around the town, also known as Ain al-Arab, has prompted a mass exodus of residents from the area, with some 186,000 fleeing across the border into Turkey.

Rep. Elijah Cummings says black Americans fear Secret Service is racist
[Wash Times] Rep. Elijah Cummings said Sunday that a majority of black Americans, excluding himself, fear the Secret Service is failing to adequately protect President Obama due to racism.
Speaking for the majority while conveniently excluding himself.
"Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer suggested that many members of the black community are worried the Secret Service would better protect a white president.
Also speaking for the majority while pandering for ratings.
